What do you even want from a laundromat? Clean machines, dryers that actually work, the ability to buy detergent on site, flexible payment options, occasional Wi-Fi for travelers--and let's not forget a clean bathroom. I'm happy to say these guys nailed it on all fronts. From the moment I walked in, everything was tidy and well-kept. Spotless washing machines, working dryers--no surprises, no one crying over a sock stuck in a filter. They've got detergent right there, and you can pay anyway you like--cash. I paid $6 to wash my clothes, and honestly, that felt completely fair. Machines were efficient, cycles ran smooth, and everything came out fresh and clean without me wasting quarters endlessly feeding the thing. Word on Wi-Fi was fuzzy; I didn't need to connect so I can't confirm, but that's more a "nice if you need it" than deal breaker. The bathroom? Clean enough to actually want to use--huge bonus when you're on the road. Huge thumbs up. If you're passing through and need to do laundry, trust me--this is a spot you'll wanna hit. I was told $5-6 a piece for wash and press for 6 pieces of baby clothes. I came to pick them up and they tried to charge me $75! The clerk called the owner and they changed it to $53.64. I was shocked and so sad. They got me. No prices listed, they charge what they want. Look at my still wrinkled baby clothes! Horrible. Lesson learned. read more

Ruined 3 wool shirts. Hell no drive to CDA or Spokane valley. They came out in fine shape but as the day went on the back disintegrated.

This laundromat has hours that are ridiculous and frustrating. Their doors are unlocked at 8 am but they don't technically open up until 8:30 am. The laundromat closing hours that they have posted is 7 pm but they close it at 5 pm. Who the hell closes a laundromat at 5 pm? My suggestion is if your hours are 8:30 am to 7:00 pm Monday-Friday then stay open for those hours. Don't unlock your doors at 8 am and then be rude to the customers who come in at 8 am. read more

This facility is always clean and the equipment works most of the time but I find it duplicitous for the staff member to put out of order signs on washers and dryers in order to do laundry for customers. There really should be some in the back for staff to do customer jobs. This makes me want to use another facility which sucks because this is the best one around read more

Came here to use the driers (i only have a washing machine at home) on some items I'm donating. Place is clean, calm and peaceful and they play good music. They also use coin operated machines, unlike the other laundromat. Thank you for being a sane establishment! read more

New owner is making significant changes: more large and medium front loader machines, longer hours, brighter lighting, hot dryers with about 95% of them actually working! Plenty of parking, drop-off laundry for those so inclined, and fairly speedy dry cleaning. too. read more

Used the laundromat service. Friendly attendant and good machines. A lot were marked out of order but I'd prefer that to using a machine and finding out it doesn't work after spending money. It also looked like some new machines were being moved in. Options for small, medium, and large loads for the washers. Clean bathroom and spacious enough inside to not feel too crowded. read more

I washed my laundry here and I left a dryer full of scrubs a few days later I realized it and called. I was told that my stuff had been donated I was very upset after protesting the clerk told me they maybe the person that took them with her to donate still had them. She texted her and said she still had them but had thrown away the old looking socks that were in there. These were my compression socks bought this year 35 dollars a pair there were two pairs. She said that they would have them back here tomorrow. I came to pick them up and the bag had been torn open and wreaked of cigarettes. They had to be re washed. This place has declined so much since the son took it over no care for the quality many machines need repair and are labeled out of order. The staff is arguing every time I visit and when the owner is not here the language that the staff uses unacceptable. It's sad really used to be a nice place . read more

First off, I have no idea how Yelp came up with San Francisco as my home. I've NEVER lived there, and would never live there. That being said, Nu-Way did a nice and on time job on my first order with them. My spendy TNF Jacket and fleece zip-in jacket, along with a sweet raw silk shirt, and tricky to clean sweater all came out really great, and for a fair price. I am requesting a response from management of Nu-way in Sandpoint please. I have been taking my dry cleaning there for over 15 years. Over the last several months you have been neglecting to button my dress shirts that have buttons on the collars. I keep asking and you keep ignoring my request. I am tired of it. I have had dry cleaning done in big cities and in small in many states all over the country. This is the most I have ever paid to have my shirts ironed and the worst service I have ever gotten. Name one respectable dry cleaning service within 100 miles that charges this much and doesn't button up the collared dress shirts? Do you care about my business? Beware of new 2021 ownership! I dropped off my husbands suit coat to have dry cleaned on March 17, 2021. I was charged for cleaning for a 2pc suit and told it would be ready in a week to 10 days, as items had to be shipped out to be cleaned. I paid for what was over-charged and was told I would receive a call when coat was ready to be picked up. I received a call two weeks later, while I was out of state for our daughter's wedding, letting me know the suit coat was ready for pick up. When I arrived home, I forgot to pick up the suit coat until the end of June, when I remembered and stopped by Nu-Way Wash-O-Mat to get it. The staff was unable to find the suit coat, had no record of my name, nor the amount that I paid. I was told that Nu-Way Wash-O-Mat changed ownership at the time I dropped the suit coat off to be cleaned, and the new owner "is tired of holding onto the old owners clothes and most likely took them to Goodwill." I received no follow up phone call and was shocked that my husband's suit coat was so quickly discarded, without my knowledge or consent. By far, the worst service received from a dry cleaner that I've ever had. Sadly, I won't be using nor do I recommend Nu-Way Wash-O-Mat. read more

They are pricing themselves out of the market . And with no machine upgrades to account for the price hike. The dryers aside form the 4 speed queens suck and take forever to dry. With only one attendant working it's hard to get service if/when it's needed. And their snack machine dosn't give you what you buy half the time. I for one won't be coming back. read more

I'm a little tried of doing my laundry here. Their is a bug problem by the windows, and when ever I'm in there are hundreds of them laying dead on top of the magazines. And parents let their kids ride and eat food while sitting in the wheeled laundry baskets. This place my have a clean rep, but it doesn't feel like it after sitting here for 1 hour. read more

Took my bedspread in for dry cleaning. When I dropped it off, I was asked if I wanted it laundered or dry cleaned. I explained it had never been laundered, I'd had it forever, and it wouldn't hold up to being washed. Got it back today and completely ruined. It was washed, in hot water and/or bleached, and the pattern is faded. The red, from opposite side, bled through and is blotchy all over. This matched a floor lamp and room was decorated around this spread. Will NEVER use them again! And oh, convenient that they expect payment ($19 for this) up front. read more

This is my dry cleaners of choice. The people are so friendly and accomodating. And they do a darn good job of removing stains and pressing clothes. I know it sounds simple, but my husband and I travel a lot and most cleaners fail to do such a good job! Thumbs up to Nu-Way Cleaners in little Sandpoint, ID. Just put on a sweater cleaned at Nu-Way--the second piece of clothing they have ruined by shrinking. Never again. They do terrible work.
