And this place really nails what we love about sushi in the US without it being over the top. It still feels light, and easy to put a whole piece in your mouth, but there's a lot going on inside the rice. Can't wait to try it again! For those who haven't been, this place is upstairs in The Stack - a complex of shipping containers filled with food and drink venues on the old Odeon site. There's a little seating inside their particular container, but lots more seating outside. There are heat lamps, and they'll bring you your food wherever you're sat.

Most importantly, there is a large range of dessert all separated into small, cute containers so you can have a bit of everything from jelly to cake to ice-cream and fruit! The price is decent for the buffet and a drink, the customer service is average and there's cubicles for larger parties and plenty of seating. It does get busy and noisy though. Explained what lemonade was in the US and asked if she could exchange both our drinks to coke. If We were going to have a fountain drink we prefer coke and did not like sprite. She came back again with our Sprites explaining how they had already come out of the fountain sprayer and they could not sell them to anyone else. We had to consume them. I asked my family if we could just leave and go somewhere else where customer service was existant and they were fine so I got up, paid our drink tab and we all left to a really good restaurant. I will write a good review about it. The manager/owner of this place is so xxxxxx that he lost 11 patrons just because he wouldn't exchange 2 sprites for 2 cokes. They were not even can or bottle. The guy was pouring them out from that fountain hose looking thing. I bet the cost is pennies. Not smart at all I understand the confusion and how I should have research how words differ here. It offers grab-and-go sushi and general Asian options which are all pre-made. They have everything including sashimi, rolls, dumplings, hot noodle soups and desserts. I am bit of a sushi snob and I have to say that this sushi is really decent quality and priced very well for what you get. The salmon was particularly good. They also offer a nice selection of hot green teas in different variations (Japanese silver needle - winner!). Because everything is pre-made in boxes, which you just look through and grab yourself, it makes Nudo a quick take-away option, but they also have seating inside where you can eat your food boxes right there. Bonus for a nice-looking interior and helpful staff, though more seating would be nice as it was very busy during the high of lunch. Overall, couldnt be happier to see this place pop up in Durham.

We all got miso soup first, then some beautifully presented sushi came out - salmon nigiri, egg nigiri, and one piece of maki. The pieces were huge! I love how they give you the exact right amount for how many people are in your party, so no fighting. The fish was fresh, and the maki roll looked really precisely made. Presented on a granite slab, really lovely. Then we got an onslaught of food. It was intense. Tempura veggies, shrimp, and crabstick. Seafood fried rice. Little fried chicken bites. Pork gyoza. We popped in on 27th December expecting it to be quiet between the two big dates of Christmas and New Year but it was absolutely buzzing in there. Worried that we might not get we waited in a small queue at the door but only a couple of minutes later everyone was seated. I had no idea there were three stories and despite the restaurant being full the service was impeccable. Every dish was freshly made and brought to your table which made a nice difference to other serve yourself buggers we've been to before. The food portions were good but not overwhelming so you could taste multiple dishes without leaving any waste. The price was around £24 each which included a couple of soft drinks too which we couldn't believe given the amount of food we actually ate! I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning!!
