When you make the reservation (and you really should make a reservation), you choose where you want to dine. The menu also differs, depending on where you sit. On the ground floor, that's the restaurant. I've dined there the most. I love trying their cocktails and their bitterballen aren't that bad. You almost can't go wrong with the dish that you choose; they also change and rotate so it might already be a different menu. I sat upstairs once. It was a small plates sharing menu with more cocktails to try! In other words, it was a more extensive cocktail menu. Every time I've been the food and the cocktails have been excellent. They also have beer in case you just want to do that. The decor is fun and quirky with an Indiana Jones/Jungle Cruise flavor. I would highly recommend getting a reservation if you're in Groningen.

Service was on par with every other German restaurant I've been to, attentive but not intrusive; maybe a little slow by American standards, but excellent to me. They are also open late, which is awesome when you're hungry late. They also made an excellent vodka cranberry with lime despite never having heard of that combination. They have separate smoking and non-smoking sections, which is almost impossible to find in the US. All in all, it was a very good experience.

Ich bin schon seit vielen Jahren begeisterter Nuevo-Gast. Am vergangenen Samstag abend haben wir wieder unseren monatlichen Mädels Abend (diesmal im Nuevo) verbracht. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Und die Cocktails in der Happy Hour nicht nur lecker sondern auch in größerer Anzahlt noch erschwinglich... Das Personal hatte wirklich viel zu tun, unsere Bedienung hat sich aber dennoch bemüht geduldig die Bestellung unserer großen Runde aufzunehmen. Ein Besuch im Nuevo lohnt sich eigentlich immer, leider haben die ja seit kurzem Montags Ruhetag und ohne Reservierung ist die Chance für eine größere Gruppe spontan ins Nuevo zu gehen (und einen Platz zu bekommen) aussichtslos. Schade das es in Aurich nur sehr wenige wirklich gute Restaurants gibt. read more

Hab ja schon viele mexikanische Restaurants besucht, aber hier war es bis jetzt am besten. Freundlicher Empfang und nette Bedienung. Service war echt gut und das Essen war super. Nicht vergessen sollte man die leckeren Cocktails. Hier kann man sogar Sonderwünsche ordern. Kundenorientierter geht es nicht. Räumlichkeiten sind zwar nicht riesig aber das Ambiente passt total. Also wir hatten einen tollen Abend und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Ach ja, kleiner Tipp vorher reservieren und etwas flexibel sein, dann bekommt man auch schnell einen Platz. read more

Der Service ist sehr freundlich und das Essen ist seit Eröffnung auf hohem Niveau. Enttäuschung ausgeschlossen. Sonderwünsche werden anstandslos erfüllt. Die Mittagskarte wird wöchentlich aktualisiert und ist im Internet einsehbar. Die Preise sind eher niedrig (3-7 Euro) Portionen groß und immer frisch. Es gibt für uns momentan keine Alternative in und um Aurich. Leider ist eine Reservierung dringend angeraten. Unbedingt Cocktails probieren - Caipirinha ist der Hit!!! ein sehr gutes restaurant in aurich!speisen: weltklasse, alles lecker & frisch zubereitet, schnell und sauber!!!service: auch klasse, machen immer einen spass mit, sind schnell und kompetent!das fleisch ist besonders zart und sehr lecker, wie im Mangold/düsseldorf.die tapas und die starter sind zusätzlich weltklasse immer ein vergnügen dank von rheinalso ich komme wieder. nachtrag: ist immer sehr voll, daher ist eine reservierung besonders am WE ratsam. read more

Nice experience. The restaurant is owned by a pleasant Yugoslavian couple who have gone all out to provide a good dining experience. The food is good quality, sometimes innovative, and they make excellent margaritas! Nice decor. This is a very popular place so do make reservations! read more
