I took a sip and realized that was not what I ordered. She did not serve me coffee she served some kind of chai nasty tasting mess with almond milk. I had to throw it out. Needless to say the $7.00 would've been better spent somewhere else. I don't feel valued as a customer at this place. There's something admirable about that kind of stubbornness. No billion-dollar marketing machine. No store on every third corner. Just beans, hot water, loyal customers, and enough grit to keep the doors open while Goliath sets up shop down the road. And the coffee? Still phenomenal. MoonBeans sources beans from some of the great coffee-growing regions of this hemisphere, roasts them in-house, and then, here's the important part, doesn't murder them before they reach your cup. Walk up to the kiosk, punch in what you want, place the order, and wait for your phone to tell you it's ready. At first, that feels almost antithetical to the whole independent-coffeehouse ethos.
