I had an extremely disappointing experience with Dr. Ergin. From the very beginning of the appointment, I felt dismissed and unheard. As I was explaining the symptoms my child was experiencing, it felt as though she had no interest in listening or understanding our concerns. When I paused her to ask for clarification, she appeared visibly upset, which was both unprofessional and uncomfortable. As a new client, this was a terrible first impression and an experience I would never want another parent to go through. I left feeling frustrated, disregarded, and unsupported. I would not recommend Dr. Seth to families looking for a compassionate or attentive provider. I wish there were a below-negative option. She would get (-) before her age as a review. read more

I expected so much more from the Montclair location, the office staff here is so unprofessional, they never answer the phones and when they do, you're placed on hold immediately and then they hang up. I requested a Supervisor on 3 occasions, no return call. I finally got so frustrated with the process that we opted to go with another Pediatrician close by. read more

But I've found the admin staff to be uncaring and even rude at times, and have found the overall bureaucratic roadblocks to be unwelcoming and unhelpful from a parent perspective. Specifically, it is maddeningly difficult to get an appointment for a medium-urgency issue (e.g.,, could we come in sometime this week because X issue still isn't healing/going away) You can only compete for an urgent same-day time slot which means calling that morning , being on hold for 30min and then getting told there's next to nothing available. We will probably switch to another health practice pretty soon. read more

I have called the office very first thing in the morning and asked for a reschedule for the late afternoon for a Monday appointment and they said they will charge me for this change. I said this is not fair since circumstances can change throughout the weekend and i need to reschedule my appointment for another day and they keep insisting if i would change it i will definitely be charged in the next visit. I find this an opportunistic approach and did not like it and find it fair. I am so frustrated with this attitude and did never offer any alternatives to reschedule my appointment. read more

We came in for our two month check up. So far we have seen Dr Tokat and Dr Soto. They both got us through the initial weight loss and the first time parent jitters. Their support brought confidence to my exclusive breast feeding. Our little man is in the 91st percentile for weight! Today we saw Dr. Matta. Her and the nurses made our first Vaccine appointment a pleasure. We left feeling confident in our plan. She listened to us crazy first time parents and then talked through the options. We actually look forward to seeing her again. Nuheights is the best! Also a quick note on the front desk. They are kind and efficient which is more than I can say for most doctors offices. read more

We've been going here for quite some time now, and there's the good and the bad. Good: - Majority of the doctors are great with the kids. Very hands on, friendly, interact well with them, play with them, etc. - The doctors are generally attentive to all your concerns - The staff are also generally very friendly and helpful - Clean and comfortable office - Entertainment available for kids -- play area is nice Bad: - One doctor, Dr. Sutter...is very dismissive, and not very helpful. Seems like he just wants to get you out the door. I feel everytime we've seen him, it was a waste of time. Webmd and google would've probably saved you the hassle. - Long wait times. Whether you are early or late a few minutes, there is a fairly long wait to be seen. Overall, I think it's a good place. After moving to Clifton a few years ago I decided to look for a new pediatrician for my daughter since driving 25 minutes to see her old doctor seemed absurd. I found NuHeights thru my insurance company and I couldn't be more thrilled with the change. My daughter sees Dr. Rhakimova whom we love!!! She's very sweet attentive, answers all your questions and most important she is great with kids! My daughter is one of those kids who is constantly getting sick in the winter due to upper respiratory problems and I have never had an issue getting an appointment for her, also the wait times have never been more than 5 minutes the many times I've been there. Took my baby boy last Thursday because he had a fever for 2 days straight. The doctor said "oh its nothing bad just let him fight it off" she did not test him for anything. My son got worse and i had to take him to the hospital on Saturday. They tested him and he had the flu!!!!!! These people dont care, they just take your money and dont do their job. If she tested for the flu i would of known earlier and did something about it. We are finding another doctor asap. read more

Dr. Matta has been my son's pediatrician for his first year of life. My son was born prepare at 34 weeks, and Dr. Matta kept my strongest fears at bay for every single visit/ phone call. I am so grateful that we have her. It is incredibly clear that she, and every other doctor/nurse/staff truly cares about the well-being of the patients. I don't even have to think twice about recommending NuHeights to other and perspective parents. I already have, and they are just as satisfied as I am. read more

I went in a few days ago with my child. There was absolutely no other patients in there, my appointment was at 1 and yet I didn't get in a room til 2. The worst is when the doctor came to see her he literally only took 2 minutes. I waited that long for you to rush through our appointment and not even help us???? They said that it's nothing and just to drink fluids (her throat is swollen) but why does she now have a fever and hot/cold chills. She is sweating sometimes others she is freezing. The front desk is also insensitive and rude. The doctors aren't rude but please invest in Better staff. I went to the fast track one. WHY CALL IT FAST TRACK IF IM GOING TO WAIT HOURS I'm now in the search for a new doctor. read more

This office is perfect for families. I needed to schedule a sick appointment for my family member and they were seen within hours of calling. The waiting room was clean and quiet. The office spaces were also clean and the nurses were so nice! Dr Tokat was unbelievable. She spent 45 min with us, and answered every question. She is so knowledgeable and kind. She also was thorough during the exam- and she made us feel so good as we were leaving, because we were able to identify the problem and have a clear plan to follow through with. I can't recommend this office enough. It is the ideal pediatrician office. read more

We love Dr. Tokat and all the other docs at NuHeights. Our daughter has been with them since she was a newborn. The staff are the sweetest!. The doctor's are really knowledgeable and sweet. The safe is horrible. Had three bad experiences. Once I called to schedule an appointment and I was told I couldn't schedule day's in advance. Another experience I had was scheduling another appointment for my daughter for concerns of her well being and I was told I have to Monitor her and come in if it gets worse. Mind you they never checked her prior to me calling for an appointment about this situation. They are lazy and extremely rude to the Patiences. Lastly they never have the vaccines available for when the babies are supposed to get them every other month. I was told multiple times I would get a call back and I always have to call them instead. Went to my last visit today for her 9 month's check up and they tried to convince me to stay because the doctors aren't the problem it's the assistances. Dr. Seth said they will be fired if I know their names but it's the whole staff. They need to be retrained. Or actually hire people that want to work. Lastly I said I would stay and I was told I can't keep my review on google. My opinion! I have to changed my perspective when I'm a parent and wouldn't want another parent to every experience what I did. So I kept my review and I Transferred. My husband and I have been taking our son here since he was a newborn. The team has helped me with a lot of "new mom"calls where I was pretty nervous. All of the doctors are incredibly smart, kind and genuinely care about my son. I love the office staff, we regularly have an awesome medical assistant who takes a wonderful history. All of the team have taken their time with us despite being very busy with the current pandemic, we've never felt rushed. Dr. Thomas and Dr. Tokat are our go to favorites but truly everyone has been wonderful. I've had to utilize the on call services more than I'd like to admit at night and I always get a very quick call back. We love this office and the team. Everyone in healthcare has its challenges now, the office is transparent in having a high call volume due to covid but I've never had an issue getting a same day sick appt and each time the providers listen and fully evaluate my son. My daughter has been a patient of this office for a few years now. I used to recommend the practice to everyone I knew. They had multiple offices and I never had an issue getting an appointment, i loved that they used to closed later because it was easier for a working mom like myself. Over the past two years the office has taken a turn for the worst in my opinion. The hours have changed and now the offices are only open until 6pm and 4 days a week. I took my daughter to get a physical that needed to be turn into the school to participate in sports and it took the office 4 business days to send the completed paperwork - i had to go get a physical done somewhere else and pay out of pocket because I expected the office to fill out the paperwork while we were there for the physical because that is normal practice. Currently, I have been on hold for an hour and three minutes to speak to someone in the office and they dropped my call! I've tried to be considerate with COVID but i think it is time to go elsewhere. read more

I Don't really like it, to stat they take for ever to review and accept you as a new patient . then first the waiting is unbelievable, they put you in a room for hours the doctor said you will get blood work done and it takes them another hour for some one to come,but I always get tired of waiting and walk out to get it done at the lab.ag, and you ask to see Dr. Tokat and they say she very busy and to top it all of you wait one hour and they say we don't have the vaccine here you have to go to the other location or come back next week really who has time to come back and sit there for hours. read more

Their "fast track" isn't so fast. We have been here 30 minutes past the appointment time because they decided to still let someone who showed up thirty minutes in late before actual appointments. I love the staff but they should allow the parents a certain amount of time and after that make them reschedule and NOT take them in. read more

My son Thomas Jr. has been going to Nu Heights Pediatrics for as long as they have been in Clifton! Dr. Sutter and the other MDs on staff have been nothing short of awesome. Very knowledgeable. They accommodate your schedule and make it very easy to get an appointment. On top of that, the office staff, Daisy and Christina are amazing! They are so pleasant and efficient. If I could rate them a ZERO I would. Front desk is rude and nasty and don't care about your child. I started with Dr Sutter when he had his own practice which was wonderful and then he merged with this group and it has been all downhill since then. You get nothing but the run a round. You show up for an appt and they say you don't have one and you are a walk in and need to sit and wait for an hour. I have been with them for 6 years and I recently brought her in because she was sick and I should have listened to my motherly gut, we were in the ER 3 days later. No stars Apparently their website says "walk ins accepted" and when you do walk in with a crying, screaming child, they say they don't care because you don't have an appointment. This is after calling the incompetent doctor 3 nights in a row and not once being told to come in to have my child examined. I really just didn't want to deal with the process of getting the medical records because I heard that's a nightmare with these lazy folk but now looks like I'll be forced to. Don't think for a minute that these people care about your children. This is all about money for them, after that it's every man for themselves. If it's not their own child, they clearly don't give a rats behind. Not to mention most of their doctors didn't even go to an American medical school as other countries have easier/more lax and cheaper schools, yet are charging American prices. I should also mention that my last pediatrician cut off new patients as she didn't want wait times to be crazy. Guess who doesn't do that? You guessed it! Nuheights Pediatrics. I let myself get caught up in the new offices and cute, cheap decor. A year later? Dirty offices, swamped all the time, decor broken etc. Do yourself a favor and go here, at least that way I won't have to share the actually good pediatricians. I used to LOVE this office and the Doctor, I was always recommending them to other parents, but not any more! I am so disappointed on how there is no communication in this place any more. When I called to make a "check up" appointment for my daughter, I was told that my daughters pediatrician was no longer working there and I had NO IDEA! I didn't receive a letter, or a phone call...... Then I took my daughter on a Thursday, and she had to have some cultures done and today is Monday and I haven't heard from them. It's Monday and I've been on hold for 20 min and no answer. I just called back and someone literally picked up the phone and hung up on me. Ok, long review... sorry... but important... Both my children (daughter 10, son 10 months) see Dr. Soto. She is absolutely wonderful, very thorough, resourceful and gentle! My daughter has also been seen by Dr. Tokat and Dr. Rahkimova. Both are excellent doctors as well!! Saw the male doctor 3 times (Sutter) on sick appointments, his bedside manner could definitely be improved and he should try to be less dismissive. Wait times? Not too bad. Anywhere between 5-30 minutes (except on one other occasion, 1hr) Once intake is done and you're put into an exam room, it can take 5-20 minutes for the doctor to come in. Front desk/other non-doctor staff? Could be way better! I wanted to give 5 stars to the doctors, and 2 or 3 stars to the staff, but instead met in the middle and gave 4 bc I want others to know that this practice really has excellent pediatricians. I mean what parent doesn't want their kids to be seen by the best possible doctor?! But the other staff (I would say specifically the clerical staff) is subpar. Sometimes difficult to make appointments, call backs are never done, don't successfully change pharmacies and continue sending to the other location, do not triage (which was MAJOR when my daughter was close to having anaphylactic shock (!!) and left us waiting in the waiting room for almost an hour). Nobody behind that front desk is on the same page. These are issues that HAVE TO be resolved bc honestly FOR ONCE the game is flipped here. I've been to and seen and heard of many offices with great staff and terrible doctors but this one just has to get its staff in line. Better training. Better judgement. Be better prepared and on the same page. Better overall experience for both the parent and patient. Besides that side note... Consider coming here, really! The female doctors will NOT disappoint. Your child will have the best doctor, that's promised. If you ever have an issue with the staff (even if minor!) I'd say mention it to the doctors. I am so pleased to found NuHeights Pediatrics. The staff are all pleasant and kind. Dr. Thomas even met with me before my child's first visit to go over some concerns I had. Dr. Thomas was very caring and made my child feel very at ease from the first moment. It was also the first time there were zero tears at a well visit ever. I highly recommend this office. I just switched my 4 year old to NuHeights when my family moved to Clifton. It is a perfect location for me, and I had heard great things. We have met 2 out of 3 of the doctors and they are wonderful, but the staff leaves a lot to be desired. They never return phone calls, they do not give correct information, they completely overbook the drs, as I have never waited LESS THAN 45 minutes to see one. I am so torn about switching, because the office is clean and the physicians are nice. But I do prefer our office in our previous town - apparently looks can be deceiving. read more

I have 3 children under the age of 5, and I have been going to NuHeights pediatrics since my oldest was about 2. I'm so happy I switched to this office. Most of my visits are with Dr. Soto, she's such a warm and caring doctor and she is so upbeat and positive. Antibiotics are never pushed on me, and more often than not she tries to stay away from giving too much medicine and I really like her approach. Sometimes the wait is really long, but they recently opened a wellness center, also in Clifton which is for checkups, immunizations and any other well visits, which I think is great because it keeps the sick kids in one office and healthy kids in another. read more

I've been with Dr. Tokat for the past three years, ever since the birth of my firstborn. She is so pleasant and knows my children by name every time we come for a visit. Even when she is unavailable, we are able to see a pediatrician, Dr. Rachminova, who is just as nice and easy to talk to. Whenever i have a concern about my child, they are always accommodating and show that they prioritize both my children, as well as, me and my husband. I've recommended Nuheights to all my friends with children who live around the area and two of my friends actually go to there now and are so happy that they go there, too. read more

I was referred to Dr. Tolkat by my Ob/GYN in February of 2016. Her office has cared for my daughter since her birth. I have now seen all 4 docs in this practice (I only saw Dr. Tolkat for the first well visit and Dr. Rakimova is her regular and her 2 sick visits were distributed to the other docs in the practice). Dr. Rakimova is a star. My baby actually holds her hands up to be picked up when she comes in the room. She is very patient and I have no complaints with her... now for the front desk staff...I have never waited more than 5 minutes to be seen. Except once.... When they called for my daughter I struggled with a stroller, diaper bag and handbag only to be told with laughter that I could not be seen because the nurse (refused to speak to me directly) said it was too soon to get the second dosage of the flu shot. Not sure why I was scheduled in the first place. No apologies was given to me just "oh yeah it's too soon". When I see Dr. Rakimova the nurse that comes in is always A+ and while I forget her name it was not the same one who refused to get up that very cold evening in December but I digress. The practice is great outside of that incident and I would recommend this practice. Especially Dr. R, she is so great with my baby girl. read more

We have switched out of this practice. We really liked it initially, but found it wasn't a good fit for our family (and our expectations). We usually saw Dr. Rahkimova, she has an absolutely lovely manner and was great with our daughter, who can be people-shy. Our child has been exclusively breastfed (no formula or mixed feeding) and we received a lot of milestone advice geared toward formula-fed infants, especially in regards to solids and water intake. Over the course of a year (that's a good 6 or so appointments) the office called us 3 times to cancel an appointment we had made months in advance because the doctor was off that day. I have no problem with anyone taking a day off work, but if an office is run on appointments there should be better notice for vacation days. Call backs from the office were atrocious. I would call for some non-medical question and receive a promise of a call back, then I'd wait a few days and need to call again myself. I would call the nurse line for something IMPORTANT (first time mom and a baby with a persistent cough but no fever? Yes, I should be able to call my pediatrician's nurse line about that.) and not receive a call back for HOURS. Once I got a call back from the nurse... seven (7!) hours later. Another time I received a call hours later from Dr. Tokat at 9pm with some advice and an apology for calling back so late. Often I never received a call back at all and needed to call multiple times to pester them. I do not want to bring my kid in to the office or the ER for a cough, but sometimes a new parent needs reassurance that a humidifier and saline drops are really all you can do. The final straw was her 9 month blood work. They did two heel pricks, which my child took with zero complaint (the nurse was surprised, even). But after that, it was a 5-minute hysterical screaming crying panic-fest because the nurse was having problems getting enough blood, so she wound up squeezing my daughter's foot as hard as she could to get it out. For five minutes. That is how a child develops fears and aversions at the doctor's office - something hurts and instead of addressing the pain, the provider ignores them and keeps going. And you as a parent maybe don't know there are other options, so you don't stop anyone. It would be one thing if it was a quick shot (ouch, but necessary) but it wasn't quick. I still want to cry when I think about it. I talked to some friends and they described more gentle, no-cry methods at other offices. In hindsight, even more pricks to her heel would have been preferable to the screaming. A few days before her 12 month appointment, the office called me and cancelled it (The Dr. took that day off, again). So instead of rescheduling, we switched to a new practice. In coordinating for paperwork, I spoke to someone who was hired that week to "clean up the practice" (her words) so I suppose it's not just my family who's had issues. However, after promising me a call back that day, I went another 5 days without hearing from the office. In total I called them 7 times over the course of 4 weeks to have the paperwork transferred to our new pediatrician. I do hope they get their game together because overall it was a nice practice with a lot of potential! It just did not work out for us. read more

LOVE DR.TOKAT First off the front desk staff is so nice and extremely helpful with all your paperwork needs... The nurses there are also amazing I absolutely love Medine she always goes the extra mile for me and my children - DrTokat and has always been very attentive with all my questions and concerns "She has such amazing personality" And she makes sure the children feel comfortable on their visits - I have a 15, 10, 9 year old and recently I just had twins - My children love her and they look forward to their visits every time... Dr Tokat never rushes and is always interested and concerned on everything I may bring up... Dr Soto is another great Dr there who have seen my children when Dr Tokat is not in the office - she is also an amazing Dr very soft spoken and sweet...." Overall the office is beautiful the rooms super clean including the bathroom.... They have a wonderful play area where they put Disney movies for the children to entertain themselves and don't drive their parents crazy - I hit the jack pot with Nuheights Pediatrics Dr Tokat is a GEM and one in million read more

I hate to give this place a bad review, but after my experience today, I had to write something. I have been taking my daughter to Nuheights Pediatrics for 4 years now. The experience has always been wonderful, so it was a given when I was pregnant again, that my new baby would see these doctors as well. Today's appointment took over 1 hour before I saw the doctor, but that's a whole other issue. Dr Thomas made me feel like such an awful mother I almost left the office crying. I had some concerns about my baby and the huge list of vaccines that she was due to have. Dr Thomas was pushing the MMR vaccine at this visit - but my baby had been under the weather, so I said we should do another one instead - as the MMR is 3 vaccines in one. Mind you, I am in no way refusing this vaccine, just postponing it until my daughter felt better. Dr Thomas huffed and puffed and said "well, since you are running the show, why don't you tell me which vaccine to give your daughter since you are going against medical advice." I was so taken aback, and kind of stuttered.. "can you please tell me what else she is due to have?" She sighed and started listing all the vaccines...so I picked one.. and she murmured "least important one, but sure." Can you believe the audacity??? I was so shocked, and she promptly left the office, saying, "have a good day"(saracastically ofcourse) I am this child's mother and how dare anyone question my motherly instincts and treat me so rudely. I have been going there since the birth of my daughter who's now 3 years old and my 7 month son! The 2 doctors, Dr. Tokat and Dr. Rakhimova are amazing. Dr. R has a way with kids. Both my little ones are always so relaxed and happy at every appointment. They smile and feel so comfortable around her. She encourages questions from the parents and offers suggestions by giving examples using her own kids. She always awards my 3 year old with either a book, lollipop or some other kind of toy, and my daughter loves it! Although I moved from the area, I still book my appointments with them and prefer to go there. I never feel rushed. Best place for my two little munchkins! read more
