I was a long‑term customer of Alarm New England for eight years, and my experience steadily…read moredeclined over time. What began as a positive relationship eventually turned into repeated billing issues, including double charges and unexplained fees that required me to cancel autopay and change my card information. A major concern for future customers: Alarm New England locks their Honeywell Lyric panels with installer codes that they do not provide to the customer, even after the contract is fulfilled and the equipment is fully paid for. When I asked for the installer code, I was told I "did not have access" to it. This effectively prevents you from using your own hardware with another provider. Only after I sent a certified termination letter did the company suddenly reach out, offering to reset the code, but only if I powered the old panel back on, which I had already replaced. Service quality also declined over the years. One simple sensor installation took nearly an entire day, and phone hold times were often 20 minutes or more. I was also quoted an extremely high price for a basic battery replacement, which came with pressure to sign a new multi‑year contract. I have since switched to a local company that provides full access to my system, transparent pricing, and no long‑term contracts. Based on my experience, I would encourage others to research alternatives before committing to Alarm New England.

I am 70 years old and this is probably the worst company that I have ever experienced dealing with…read more There monitoring service is actually worst than the products that they install. False alarms that they can't correct without hundreds of dollars in extra charges and long wait times to get resolved.

I am now using them but not sure of the junk on my roof is worth it. Think twice before hiring this company. The contract and the rates are in their favor 300%. If you want solar power buy your own panels if you can afford it. But this company has a long way to go as they grow they seems to lack the basics

NOT WORTH YOUR AGGRAVATION THEY WILL BECOME A FULL TIME JOB JUST TRYING TO GET THE BILLING CORRECT…read more! So I purchased solar panels and a small home system came with it from Vivint. I have had nothing but problems with the whole thing ! I got the door bell camera and the person that came out said he couldn't find the power for it. So it sat on my counter for weeks. They called me and asked how things were and I explained that the camera wasn't installed. They sent someone out to fix it and it now works but at that time I purchased the door lock but they couldn't install it cuz I didn't have a hole in my door for it. So that sat on my counter cuz they told me I needed to hire a lock smith. In the mean time I'm getting bills for 800-900 dollars ... say what !!! It was free !!! Come to find out they were charging monthly monitoring which was also free for three years I've only had it in for like maybe 4-5 months . The lock I purchased went on sale within 30 days of my purchase but they wouldn't give me the sale price so I returned it. I even confirmed with them that they received it. I'm still getting a bill for the lock ! I've been told it was the solar company that set up my account but when I talk with them they say it's on Vivint cuz they can't and don't have access to their accounts but I swear there are not allot of smart people working there cuz I'm constantly calling about there billing !!!!! I have nothing for them to be billing me for at this time. Getting several calls from their collections department.
