I went in and watched the USA gold medal match on Sunday morning and confirmed that Number 38 is my favorite place to watch live sports in the city. Between the massive amount of TVs, huge double sided bar, the super attentive staff and ease of being inside or out is just amazing. The drinks are standard pricing and on par with the rest of the city. I haven't eaten everything on their menu, but I did have the breakfast sandwich and it was great and came with a bunch of potatoes for $10. I also loved how they opened up early and had coffee available from 6-7 before you're allowed to sell beer at 7 am. It was an epic day and I can't to go back for the next playoff games!!! read more

This is hands down our FAVORITE place to watch the Broncos in Denver. We've come here for playoff games twice now & it's a blast. I swear there was probably 700+ people there last night, but we still found a spot for our group of 5. The lines are LONG, but what bar on game days isn't? Huge venue and I've only been here for larger group events so it's definitely good for that. And the space is usually pretty cool with getting large groups in and waiving the fee if it's big enough. They will charge a tip that's not your decision/choice on every bill, a concept I don't absolutely hate but also definitely don't love. Ain't that my money? The space itself is great--huge, open, and perfect for hanging out with friends and the music performance that we were invited to. Unfortunately, the food was a major letdown and simply not worth the price. The burger was small and wasn't a good flavor, the tater tots were overly salty. The wings were over cooked and the sauces were nothing special. The pizza slice felt like it had been under a heating lamp for a day or more. I saw a couple whole pizzas pass our table that looked much more fresh. Service is self serve. Overall, it feels like you're paying more for the atmosphere than the quality. Went to this for Margarita Fest and it was a good space to host. There was tons of open space and lots of seating - inside (by outside patio & indoor booths/tables on other side), outdoor area by big screen/dj stage, volleyball sand court, and lower level chairs. We were there early for Ultra VIP so there wasn't too many people but it also seemed like there wasn't much staff there to greet/serve. Once the event started the place definitely gets packed and it's busy everywhere! The staff does a really great job keeping the areas cleaned, tables wiped, and replacing trash. Bathrooms are nice and clean but a bit dark. Water stations are setup by the bathroom which is nice so you don't have to wait by the bar. We didn't eat the food here so can't comment. Okay, so we were in town from Ohio, hoping to have a "base" where our friends and family could meet up with us in an afternoon/evening. What we didn't know - was there were multiple class reunions and a wedding after party in the same location! This place is huge - that it held one side for a wedding party, another corner for a class reunion, and then tables for smaller birthday parties - which is kind of crazy. The bartender entertained us ("You're not cops, right?" - damn Ohio licenses!) - the beer lineup was decent local brews and some okay mixed drinks. The beers definitely won me over. The food menu - I wanted to try the damn onion burger, but my friend bought an entire pizza, so I had that instead - and while not the burger, it was still damn good. The food I saw others get also looked amazing, and I heard zero complaints! The venue was well suited for this kind of event - lots of outdoor seating plus open space and even volleyball areas as well as indoor seating, huge bar, and a stage. It accommodated everyone nicely. The bar had a good selection of beer on tap and some cocktails. We had a specialty cocktail which was yummy then an old fashioned - also good. While tasty, they were a bit overpriced in my opinion. Bartenders were friendly but busy and not ones to do a ton of chitchatting (at least on this occasion). Food selection was pretty terrible. We were feeling peckish but nothing struck a chord (and we aren't picky eaters). In addition to the poor selection, what they did have was on the pricey side for being basic. I overheard some folx commenting on the food being mediocre. While I would return for another event, I'm not sure I would opt to come here just for a drink. Number Thirty Eight is a pretty convenient RiNo hangout spot close to the freeways. Free parking can be a bit scarce on a weeknight around dinner time thanks to some construction, but I've never had to park more than 2 blocks away. When you enter, you have to show your ID and enter a credit card and share your cell number. They give you a wristband to scan and inform you of an automatic 20% gratuity and that they charge your card on file upon closing. If you have an issue, you can find someone and change your tip I suppose. You get your receipt texted to your phone so it's all pretty convenient. I like their set and rotating beer selection -- they had 5 sour choices when I first visited, now it's down to about 2 so it varies week to week. They only have craft beers, a couple house wine blends, and a couple mixers from what I've seen. Prices are pretty average. The food menu is not super robust. You order then get a buzzer. The pizza slices are pretty large but I waited 20+ minutes for a $7 burnt cracker with cheese. The curly fries are fine. My friend got a hot chicken sandwich and got sick that night so I've avoided the rest of their food (the restaurant was "out" of chicken soon after). Tons of space inside and a huge patio outside with a projection screen, 2 sand volleyball courts, and cornhole boards (Volo leagues play here). Dog friendly outside. Sometimes they have Harry Potter trivia and other events on. The staff is always kind and sociable. They have a nice team system going so you pretty much never have to wait to get a drink after scanning your wristband. Overall I'd say it's a decent spot to meet friends, have a craft beer and catch a game, but I'd avoid the food, and just make sure you check your receipts. read more

No servers were roving. He stood in line for the whole first quarter of the game and maybe moved about 10 feet. Him and I left at that point, and a friend took his place in line to get the table pitchers. They ended up leaving at halftime because they still hadn't made it to the bar! We had actually driven to Westminster and had gotten a table and had a beer in hand at Tap & Burger by the time our friends told us they were leaving. That's over an hour in line waiting for drinks and not actually ever getting one! The two bartenders working the entry bar showed zero urgency to clear the queue. They easily needed to double their staff. It was not a great experience. Maybe spend the money on staffing and training before spending the money on social media marketing? Look, I'm all for tipping generously, but when I get hit with a tip that's more than my rent, I think we need to have a conversation. This place sounded like it was going to be great. When we arrived, thinking it was a family-friendly venue. We were given instructions on how things worked around there. They have this automatic charge bracelet that you swipe all your orders to, and it automatically charges your card . Once you're ready to leave, you just leave, and your receipt will be texted to you. We questioned the automatic 20% service charge for a self-service place, and we were told it's a voluntary 20%. We made our way to the outdoor patio area and couldn't find any shaded areas to sit, so we had to sit in the direct sun which wouldn't had been that bad if we didn't have our little niece with us and the other kids at a few of the nearby tables were sitting under the tables in order to get some shade. The outdoor stage was large enough for the bands and a large outdoor screen, but it didn't offer any entertainment for the outside guests. It was time to order our beverages. We went inside to order our drinks. You are able to sample their beverages. My sister-in-law ordered a margarita that was about the size of a double shot glass that cost about $11. And for a brewhouse, we were expecting a larger craft beer selection, so after a few samples, we just settled for a pitcher of White Rascal. The food was the same brewhouse stuff, hamburgers, hot dogs, wings, and pizza. All this was self-service. It was Bingo day, and this was being played inside. Here's where we took offense to. The Bingo caller had a gimmick, his thing, and that was a Mexican wrestler. The game must have started while we were outside having our beverages and food, so we didn't know what was going on inside. As we were leaving, we walked into the seating service area, and there's this guy dressed up as a Mexican wrestler calling out Bingo numbers and using profanity with children around. From the look around all the gusts this day, it looked like we were the only Hispanics in the facility, so we were thrown off by what we just witnessed, especially in a location and times like this where everyone is so concerned about representation and feelings. It was obvious that everyone there was fine with the mocking of the Hispanic culture. As we checked out, thankfully we were able to change the service charge to something we felt was more fitting than the 20% they requested due to that fact that the only service this place provided was the pouring of drinks and making your food, the guests are the ones who do the actual work by placing and taking your orders to the table and clearing the table. We noticed that we were charged regular prices for two of the samples we tried. Our bracelet tab must have been too close to the reader and may have accidentally changed our card, so this could be problematic for those who don't physically check out at the end of their visit. As you can tell with my review, we definitely were not happy with our visit to this place and definitely don't see ourselves coming back anytime soon. With so many other brewhouses here in Colorado, we'll go spend our money elsewhere. read more

Came here to catch some rays last Saturday with my wife and our doggo before the 'arctic blast' - clearly everyone had the same idea in mind, but we had a great time and some great grub! We were able to snag a couple of Adirondack chairs in the turf/stage area before ordering some drinks. My pick today was the Mississippi Slug, which came with 'too many pickles' (no such thing) and tots. After a short wait, my beeper was buzzin' and I went to the pick up window. This burger delivered big time! Cheesy, 'sawse-y' and pickles galor. The smashed patty had some crispy bits, but was juicy and well seasoned. Toasted bun and delicious tots - everything was flawless. They serve pizza after 3pm and it just so happened to be that time - obviously couldn't resist the call of the 'za! Huge slice full of crispy, cupped pepperoni's and zesty sauce. The crust was soft and chewy and hit the spot. There were several other options on the menu that sounded good (muffuletta, boiled peanuts, smoked chicken wings), but we were full for the time being. It was Superbowl Sunday. My friend was in town and wanted to take me to a specific restaurant, but it was closed. BOOO!!! Fortunately we Yelped around and found Number 38. Parking was pretty easy (this is basically a large warehouse in the middle of nowhere) and the check-in process was cool. We were given RFID wristbands and shown to our barstool seats. From other reviews, it sounds like reservations are typically needed, but because everyone was trying to watch the Superbowl outside (with their dogs!!) we took the unpopular seats at the bar. Super comfy cushions, by the way. Whenever we ordered food or drink, the wristbands were scanned to add onto our tab. Love this touchless payment system. Wide variety of beers and a few cocktail options on tap. All of them were tasty! Love the bartenders here. On the far end of Number 38 (next to the restrooms) is food!! I did take one star off because the food was only okay. Loved the kimchi fries, but I thought the bao buns lacked flavor. I plan on coming back and doing this all over again... Went in for a drink a little while ago. Took 45 minutes to get a drink which was poorly made. I used to bartend myself so I usually only write positive reviews and let it go, but they have 20% auto gratuity which i honestly don't think they deserved and when I finally got to speak to the GM Zach he seemed kinda drunk and it looked like he wanted to get back to drinking with the bartenders. This is like the Equivalent of Red Rocks. 18,000 sq ft of outside area and free concert. They will have performing local artists and some famous ones. You never really know Yeah this is massive inside and out. When I went a couple of weeks ago I was so impressed. With the staff, food and the amt of ONLY local beers on tap. And some bourbon, wines.' Food. They have ramen, tacos and my fave Bao Buns. The Bao Buns are definitely the pick I would choose for the night. This is truly a socially distanced spot. When you arrive you guys can can assign an amount to your group or go individually. Individually just means you opened a tap just for you. Big group? Do individual. Unless of course you're paying for everybody. This wristband is your identity. This will let you and the staff taking your order know how much money you have left. First thing you do when you order is you scan this wristband. That's it. You will be given a buzzer. Btw- they have a volleyball court complete with sand waiting for you outside. Number Thirty Eight was a great experience all around. We enjoyed the touchless system for payment and the ease of using our wristbands... quite easy, so be warned! N38 is a massive place, well designed and laid out. There are so many seating areas / options, including their long bars and cozy interior spaces (for use once we're on the other side of COVID). Even outside, there are dyads, triads, 4 tops, picnic tables - you name it, they've got your party covered. In reading several other Yelp reviews and checking the weather, we layered up for our 4:30 pm outdoor seating reservation. Thermals for the win! As there aren't heaters on the lawn for those enjoying the outdoor seating, dress as if you're headed to the mountains, and you'll be quite cozy. We enjoyed PJ Moon and the Swaggers - a great show. Loved the acoustic vibe, their own songs and a few covers. We had front row seats and thoroughly enjoyed the live music. In reading other reviews, I learned that all live music performances are free and if the artists choose to offer a tip jar, you can tip that way, but this is at their discretion as they are paid via N38. The food? Also great. Not a ton of options (for now) but every dish we ordered hit it out of the park. Asian meets Mexican in all the best of ways. We shared the K-Pop fries. He had the Green Curry ramen and I enjoyed the Spicy Chicken ramen. And to wash it down, we enjoyed a few craft beers, a cider and a few cocktails. Perfect. I thought this spot was super cool and unique. I've personally never seen another brewery like it. The whole concept of it is that you come in, get a wrist band linked to your card, and then when you order, you scan the wrist band instead of having to do a transaction/open tab. Something else I liked is that tip was already included (20%) so when you're done, you can just leave. The girl who first welcomed us was lovely and explained how everything worked. I loved her energy. Can't say the same thing about the girl who cut off our bands on the way out- she kinda seemed like she hated her job. The beer selection is not too big but I didn't mind. They also serve food. The spot is huge too- with outdoor and indoor seating. It was fairly empty considering it was a Friday night. They also had live music going and we were jamming!
