I was hesitant to make an appointment here because of what I had read about their poor service and…read morerigid policies (severe cancellation and late arrival penalties). I have two personal friends who were punished by these very policys. But I liked that Ultiskin offered an MD to administer services. I made an appointment. The office cancelled my appt just days before. But I'd already made a hotel room reservation in Santa Fe based on my going to this appt. I asked if someone other than the MD could see me. They shifted my appt to their nurse practitioner Anita. Their office called me 2x since the change, the first time my phone indicated who was calling, Dr. Fraker's office, I picked up, "Hello..." The Ultiskin employee said, "who is this?" I said, "You called me!" She said, "I forgot who I called." Hummmm. The other time they had no record of changing my appt so we had to start over. At the appt I enrolled in their frequent rewards program, "brilliant distinctions" based on a flyer they posted offering 100 free sign up points. Then I got my first email from the program, no sign up points, but I was credited with points for my visit. Hummmm. The BEST thing about Ultiskin is Anita, the nurse practitioner who I saw while there. She was positively AWESOME. She did not push me towards more than I wanted and was extremely careful about everything she did. She was a delight in every way. I loved her and would go out of my way to see her again and again. Like other reviews that I had read in advance of going to Ultiskin, I found the service to be exceptional and the administrative structure to be wobbly.

They have been beyond five stars, taking time and a personal approach, never trying to sell me on more than I want, always being kind and friendly. I felt that my trust was well placed whenever I visited. That's part of why family-owned, local businesses are great not just for the local economy but for clients like me. I'm sad to hear the spa has changed hands and is no longer locally owned. I'm not sure that the pros who have been there for years and years will be there anymore, and if they will be, I'm not sure they will work on the same terms. I'd be much happier with my dollars staying in the local economy and supporting a good quality of life for those who live and work here. Too often when larger, out-of-state corporations buy out a smaller local company, it is more about deepening their own pockets, cutting corners, and treating employees like work horses, than it is about fairly compensating the local workers who have built up clientele and made the businesses feel personal and human--especially for something like a spa. My hope is to invest in local people and businesses, where I benefit from genuine, caring, long-term relationships with professionals who work expertly to keep me at my best

This place was OK but not stellar. I had the Skinmedica Rejuvenate peel (I won't say with who) but…read moreI did not get the result I was expecting. I had this peel before and did not have a comparable experience. When it comes to treatments, I like to feel that I am getting what I paid for and so if it entails a little discomfort in order to get the results, I'm willing to deal. The esthetician was not familiar with some of the techniques and products my CME in San Fran uses on me but she was young. However, she put the peel on very lightly with a brush (instead of gauze) so I didn't get much stinging or peeling following the procedure. This place has the latest equipment and a really nice spa like office but I am most interested in the treatments so I don't think I will be going back since this peel is pretty pricey for not getting what I paid for.

You're seated in a warm little waiting room while you listen to a fountain and you start the relaxation processes. Dori did my facial, and I was really really happy. You then get to choose from three scents for your facial and she gets to work. As your final mask sits she gives you probably one of the best head massages you will ever have in your life making you feel happy and peaceful. A tip to all those facial peeps: get the extractions. They hurt like nothing I've ever felt before, but it'll help get rid of your blackheads and pimples. Endure the pain for five minutes. It'll help your skin in the long run!

Hi folks I am not one to review every business I visit or…read moreevery restaurant I eat at....unless they're either Incredibly wonderfully or just rediculous! I've been under the care of William of Santa Fe Skin Vitality a few times now. I cannot recommend him higher. He is extremely professional and completely trustworthy in his work. I find it satisfying that not only in this skin care field he is the top in his skill, but he is also a army physician, and an urgent care physician here in Santa Fe. That's just amazing! To have someone like this to work with is beyond incredible. He is honest, his art is perfect, prices very fair. If you are serious in placing your trust in just anyone to care for you, going past William to someone else I would not recommend. I am so impressed with his art and skill. We all want to look amazing, but also want to look real! That's the catch. With Santa Fe Skin Vitality it is pure beauty, not artificiality. William will have you walking out confident, and I've seen bad results on the internet, so I did my research carefully!!! This is someone you can trust! Sorry for my long rant, but that's me! I say it as it is. Trust this man, his references, background skill, physician, and this. Amazing. Thankyou again William, look forward to seeing you again!

The first session occurred in September- I went ahead and gave him the painting and he said he would do the second microneedling session a week or two later. He has reappeared a couple of times, texting out of the blue with some bs excuse, says he wants to schedule the second appointment, then ghosts again. I hate that this POS has my art, and that I trusted him to come through as a professional. Furthermore- he made sure to me to mention his "Vaginal Toning Wand" both times while he was working on me. I sure didn't ask! Do not support this flaky pervert.
