I highly recommend CORA physical therapy at Bay Pointe Plaza. Heather, Kayla, Jon, and Danielle are…read moreall very knowledgeable, compassionate, and attentive therapists. They provide the right balance of pushing you to work hard while having sensitivity to your pain. I was prescribed therapy to rehab my leg after ORIF surgery (3 plates and 22 screws on my tibia and fibula). Initially I was non-weight bearing on the leg and they gave me many exercises to strengthen my muscles and work on my range of motion. Over time, and with my doctor's permission, they worked with me so that I could put weight on my leg, and then I re-learned to walk. We are now working on strength and balance. At every visit with my surgeon, he is very pleased with my progress in physical therapy. If you aren't successful with your results, most likely you're not putting in the work, because the staff at this facility are top notch! I would be remiss if I didn't mention Maya and Paul at the front desk. They are also very friendly, upbeat, and encouraging. The whole atmosphere of this clinic is positive and conducive to healing. I hope I never need to, but if I do, I will definitely choose CORA again.

The staff is very nice from the receptionist(Tonya) to my therapist (Heather) and she did a great job at making sure I am fully functional and well as checking up on me after my sessions. I just ran a 5k race and completed it in 25 minutes and I know I have them to thank.

I called and gave my insurance and told scheduler that I experienced a hamstring tear. The woman on the phone said she couldn't make it at the location I requested because they don't treat hamstrings and so she made an appointment with a physician in South Pasadena. I waited for this appointment and was in a lot of pain. I showed up they took me back and gave me several x-rays without saying one word. First of all, I hate x-rays and I hate getting irradiated for any reason. So I was really angry to find out the x-rays were of my spine not my hamstring and they didn't even bother asking why I was there!! Or telling me what they were doing!!! I assumed they had my appointment info. (Will they charge for these??? We'll see) The second thing I wanted to say is that I switched my claim to Workmen's Comp. I had to deal with bcunning@floridaortho.com. He is the worst. VERY rough manner and no one including even his own staff members can get a hold of him when they need something. So good luck trying to schedule something if you're on Workmen's Comp and you are in pain. I'm sure the doctors are great, but I can't see myself having to deal with him or any other incompetence moving forward. And now I lost an entire week.

While we're grateful for the support of family members who were able to visit and monitor her daily, our experience was a mix of positives and serious concerns. Pros * Many of the nursing staff were kind and genuinely tried to be helpful, even though they were clearly managing a heavy workload. * When issues were brought to their attention, efforts were made to address and correct them. * There is a beautiful outdoor area by the river where patients can get fresh air if signed out by a family member or caregiver. This was a highlight during an otherwise difficult stay. Cons While we understand that staffing shortages are common across many healthcare facilities, some of the problems we encountered were unacceptable--especially for a rehab facility. * The odor in the rehabilitation wing was overwhelmingly unpleasant each time we visited. * On several occasions, my mother was not given meals or had to wait an extended period for basic care. * We often heard elderly residents calling out for help, sometimes for long stretches, with little or no response. * My mother was left on the toilet and in soiled clothing for prolonged periods--something that no patient should have to endure. * Her mattress was visibly stained with dried bodily fluids--a serious hygiene and dignity concern. * The rehabilitation sessions were minimal and ineffective. Despite being nearly immobile for six weeks, she made remarkable progress walking within just days of leaving Aspire, which speaks volumes about the lack of active rehab during her stay. Final Thoughts Aspire has some caring staff and a nice location, but the overall care and rehab support fell significantly short of our expectations. Families with loved ones staying here should advocate persistently and stay involved daily, especially given the facility's current staffing and care quality challenges.

A hidden gem with excellent physical therapy and nurses. Wonderful view! Would recommend.read more
