Grand opening of this chain of gourmet candy stores at the Christiana Mall. I was pulled in by the…read morebright store and the employee outside in an old-timey hat the kind of reminded me of main Street USA at Disney World. Once I walked in I was pulled into a fun exciting adorable store of candies and delectable treats from all over. I'm not even a big candy fan but I went all kid like ooohhing and awwwwing all the neat things that they sell. I ended up buying some gourmet Rice krispie treats which while expensive at $6.50 a piece they are having by to get one. My dad and I've already split one the s'mores and it was totally worth it. I also bought a bag of sriracha flavored popcorn which I am so excited to break into. not only do they sell gourmet chocolates macarons, they also have candies from around the world, candies that invoke nostalgia, they also have candies that you can buy by the pound like a gummy bears and various other things that you can pour into jars. They have a free loyalty program that I signed up for while checking out and I earned a free pound of gummy bears while doing it. I feel like this is a great place to buy a treat when you want to add something extra to a gift or you want to celebrate somebody. It may not be your everyday store. I feel like this is definitely a place that I will always walk in just to check out at minimum when I go to the Christiana Mall.

Okay, so we get told that they are out of most things which was disappointing to hear but on the bright side they had the things we wanted. For the most part at least... okay moving onto the food, My friend ordered a walking taco. She said her walking taco was mediocre, but it's a store in Penns Grove we didn't expect much from it. I ordered a milkshake. They were out of vanilla ice-cream so i made do with the "strawberry shortcake" flavor of milkshake or whatever it was. I get the milkshake and take one sip and it tasted like straight up Nesquik strawberry milk. the milkshake had no thickness or creaminess what so ever. straight up just milk. not to mention half the cup was literally just all whip cream. I don't know if this story was just nit picky or anything but a day or two before I decided to go in and try them I ordered the "fried Oreos" off of door dash. When I got them it looked quite good honestly. However i was very disappointed when I attempted to bite into that fried hockey puck of a "fried Oreo". The ice cream on top tasted similar to school ice cream. I only went in a second time just to see if going in person had any difference. Absolutely not!!! The only good thing I have to say about this place was that the service was quick and the man was nice. The food was just not as good as people hyped it up to be.

The sausage is made in house and just delectable. There is also a Mexican vendor and the tacos are out of this world. The donuts always hit the spot and the varieties are endless. Not to mention the cakes here, are to die for. It's like I'm on a shopping spree for food. I just can't help but to go crazy and get a little bit of everything. Why not, I can't get this back home in DC. Needless to say this is the place to visit if your in Delaware.
