Nutrish Mish opened a new door for me. This program allowed me to educate myself, hold myself accountable for my actions and transform my lifestyle. Before signing up with Richael in July 2016, using a four week Groupon in Holbrook that changed my life, I was a dehydrated emotional eater on a path to self-destruction. I was close to 300 lbs.; the highest weight I had ever been and already on blood pressure pills. My joints hurt, I was breathy, and full of fatigue. In July, 2016, I knew I had to make a complete change to not only feel better, but to also lose weight before a looming total hip replacement surgery. So when I walked into my first Nutrish Mish session with nutritionista, Richael Del Gatto in Holbrook I felt welcomed and relieved. Richael was so professional and encouraging at our first session. I felt a sense of confidence, because Richael is a knowledgeable, skilled nutritionist who immediately provided wonderful support and guidance along the journey I was about to embark on. She explained the balance required with this program. I took the word diet out of my vocabulary. Richael helped me to learn the significance of red, green and blue foods and she motivated me to be accountable and record everything I ate or drank for the week in a journal book that I continue to utilize successfully. I also continue to make the tasty and delicious Nutrish Mish recipes and to date enjoy the yummy protein powder smoothies I create and have for breakfast during my busy work weeks. I was so happy that before my June22, 2017 hip replacement surgery, I lost 50 lbs.! After the surgery and recovery time; I continued to follow this amazing program and I began to fully transform and feel so much better. I drank so much water, but now enjoyed drinking it even more than before! I was walking at least two miles a day, using an elliptical machine in my house and taking a once a week Zumba class on Saturday mornings. I joined Lucille Robert's gym to have access to fun and motivating exercise and strengthening classes. I just watched the weight just consistently come off! I realistically gave myself a timeline of two years. I knew these lifestyle changes would require time, patience and perseverance. Today, I am happy to report I am down 123 lbs. and maintaining my weight for the past 8 months. I weigh in weekly at home and currently once a month with Richael at the Holbrook location. I have so much more energy and vitality. I gained more confidence in myself and enjoy shopping more than I ever did before. I realize that food does not have to be the reward. In fact not having to take blood pressure pills is my biggest achievement along with enjoying daily exercise. To be able to go out at 58 with my dear girlfriends and dance for 90 minutes straight is something we look forward to doing and I feel as if I have my life back again! I started going to see Michelle a few months ago, and she is terrific. While she says that weight is more of a symptom than the goal, I am down over ten pounds and counting! I wish I'd started coming to see her sooner, but better late than never. Michelle is very friendly and does take the time to explain things to you, always asks if you have questions, and then gives you little cards each week with healthy recipes and with the tip of the week, which you can review online later in more detail. She explains things so you can understand, and tries to help you change just one or two habits at a time, so you can make real changes to your eating and make them stick. You get the feeling that Michelle is personally vested in your success, and she is ready to help you get back on track if you have had a rough week, and she is thrilled for you when you have a great week with respect to your food choices. She is also available on the phone and on social media, and runs a client group page on facebook and she's on just about every day that I can tell. She cares about her clients, and that's fairly rare to come by. I read the earlier reviewer's review and I personally disagree with all of it. When the pandemic struck, I all-too-easily slipped into a lifestyle of poor eating and exercise habits. After a year of this I found myself in bad shape and health trending in the wrong direction. That is until I met Kim at Nutrish Mish. After beginning the program in early April, I am significantly leaner and healthier, but moreover I am confident in my nutrition plan as my way of life going forward. Do NOT, I repeat NOT, listen to any negative reviews about Nutishmish!!! I can only say from my experience that it a beyond fantastic program..Not only does it address your specific food issues, but teaches you week by week what you need to know about nutrition, the quality of the food you are eating, how to shop, what to look for etc. Every week you are free to discuss what goals you are working on, how you've been doing, along with lessons and topics you need to arm yourself with to reach your success! I have been working with Kim for 2 years ,( my choice, you can go as often or long as you like) and have learned more than I could have imagined. She, along with all the other nutritionists are accessible as often as you need them to be..I have literally texted Kim from restaurants for extra guidance. I would highly recommend The Nutrishmish program. I've been working with Kim for almost 5 months and she has been amazing! She makes herself available even outside the sessions for questions and support. For the first time in my life, I feel completely liberated from calorie counting, app tracking, and the dreaded scale. I do log my food with the materials provided by Nutrishmish but it takes no more than 5 minutes a day. The sessions are quick and to the point, focused on troubleshooting and improving my individualized plan. I started working with Richael in June 2023. I've worked with other nutritionists in the past and have gotten no where. I've felt restricted and would binge.
