I don't leave reviews often, but NW Audio seriously impressed me. I went there yesterday to have a subwoofer installed that my dad had gifted me. I had already gotten multiple quotes from other businesses and NW Audio was by far the most reasonable. What stood out the most though was the customer service. The last place I went for a quote felt more like a car dealership than an audio shop. I felt pressured to buy their products and it seemed like they weren't really listening to what I actually wanted. It was basically just "you want a subwoofer." NW Audio was the complete opposite. They listened to my specific concerns, explained everything clearly, and there was nothing shady or pushy about the pricing. At the end of my appointment I asked about replacing my dash speakers because it's something I've been considering for a while. One of the guys gave me his honest opinion and even admitted the other guys there had more experience with different speaker setups than he did. Honestly, I respected that way more than somebody pretending to know everything just to give an answer. Then he went and asked the other employees for their opinions too. Every person there took the time to listen and explain different options based on what I was actually looking for. You can also tell they really know the ins and outs of car audio and are genuinely passionate about what they do, which I loved. Nothing about the experience felt salesy or fake. It just felt like a group of people who actually care about their work and want customers to leave happy with what they paid for. And the sub install itself? Absolutely perfect. So when my wife asked me to get her Ford Escape detailed before an upcoming trip, I said I know the place to go. You can take a look at their website and see their different packages and how pricing varies by vehicle size. You'll notice there are discounted rates offered from Groupon on the web. What I discovered is they'll honor the Groupon price without the coupon, so keep that in mind. My wife's vehicle is a 2017 model and has never been detailed before. The center console was filthy and they made it look brand new. Overall, it was a great value for the price and the vehicle looks outstanding. However, I was surprised the job took over 5 hours to complete, I was told the day before it might take 3.5. No one told me, while I waited, that my car was going to take more time or why. Next time I'll plan to drop the car off and come back when it's finished. I was surprised they don't accept tips for their good work. I was asked to write a review instead. THIEF !!!!! DO NOT GO HERE !! I would like to give no stars if I can. We got a Groupon deal and got the most expensive ultimate deluxe car wash for $180 . The windows were not washed, the leather had wax marks, with patchy spots , and most of all, they took couple parts from the car and lost it! I have been calling them over a week and they said they will talk to the owner and got nothing still. The parts they took will cost $60 to replace. I think they also took my Swiss army knife i left in the car for emergencies. I am truly disappointed. I found NW Audio on Groupon and bought one of their window tint deals. I saw another company offering window tinting that was closer to me, but after comparing their websites I chose NW Audio. Their site looked better, so I figured the experience would be better. I called and made an appointment and they informed me that there would be an additional charge since my vehicle has more windows than what the Groupon offers. They gave me a pretty accurate estimate for the service as on the call as well. A couple of days before the appointment, they called to confirm the appointment. Once I got there, they told me that I could pick any tint I want and that I could mix and match different tints if I'd like and also gave good recommendations/suggestions. While waiting, they provided me with information on other services that they offer. They were very knowledgeable and could answer all of my questions. They finished up and did a great job. The estimated time of completion was pretty accurate and once they were done, they gave instructions for the windows. Very good experience overall and will trust them to do anything else needed that they offer. read more

Bought two Groupons and we're happy with their service. The cloth interior looked great after the interior shampoo.

I call and schedule an appointment, stating I'd like window tint around my vehicle and the specifics. He quotes me close to $400, until I mention the word "Groupon." He didn't seem too happy I mentioned it, but we went ahead and scheduled. I first received my vehicle back with damage to the trim on the outside. The owner then tried to tell me that, "A lot of times when people get stuff done on their car, they don't see or realize it until they look up on it after work has been done." This would have been a fair excuse, had my car not been pulled off of the truck at the dealership 3 weeks prior, less than 2k miles on it, and no damage to any of the 4. After, there was damage to all the trim on all of the outside of my windows. In addition; the brow was beginner/novice level instillation looking type work, gaps and spaces of window left uncovered by trim, and to top it off-the incorrect % was installed. When installed, the installer heated the glass from the outside too close to the rubber and melted/warped the rubbers of the trim together. I again, had to schedule for a second install. Upon arriving they refused to remove the incorrect trim, and just re-lay another film of trim at the same %, creating the correct darker % that I first asked for. Repair time for the windows.. While trying to schedule and get costs/estimates, the owner refused to have it repaired at the place I wanted it done. Stating he wanted to get referrals from another dealership because they do business with them, and not the one I was asking for them to go to. I stood ground, had to be extremely stern, and asked and asked multiple times if I could have the request of getting it done by who I want it done by, fulfilled. The owner then chose to buy the parts elsewhere, travel to my desired dealership I want the repairs done, and drop the parts off with them while they waited on me to bring the vehicle to them. When the dust had settled with that situation, I needed the brow, and the small window in the rear touched up because of bubbles and gaps. When I got my vehicle back; bubbles were gone, and the window was layer correctly this time. Settling all issues I had with this 2+ month install of WINDOW TINT. But wait..there's more. There's now a deep scratch in the brow of said window tint. I'm throwing my hands up and just saving my breathe at this point. I can't believe what it's taken to get this simple job done 100% correct, and to customer satisfaction. I've had multiple vehicles worked on at NW (in St. Joseph) and never once had a problem with the numerous jobs I had them do; (Full sound system install, window tint x3). Unfortunately though, as much as I'd love to say this place is great, it is and isn't. Customer service is good, and got all my problems fixed (for the most part), but expect some type of push back from the owner if you have issues. He's kind of a condescending when speaking to you about them as well. I will never, ever bring my vehicles back to NW anymore. Not after this visit. So sad bc I talked so highly about them to everyone who needed work done. I just hope others have a better experience on their install and issues than I did. read more

NW Audio has been working on my 2015 Altima. They have so far tinted the windows, install a stereo ( then changed to DvD player) and helped finish the install of two 6x9 for rear deck speakers that i had started but lacked tools to finish. Guy did it on his own time, as his girlfriend waited in the car. Awesome group of guys there. Very helpful and willing to work with ya. Still plan to get door speakers, tweeters, amp and two subs installed in my Altima. And i'll be having NW Audio do it all. read more

I took my SUV to NW Audio for a full detail. It was ok, but the windows were not clean. There were streak marks left behind and several windows still had handprints from my kids. On my leather interior I could still see spray marks from the cleaner. I will say that carpets and dash and cup holders were all cleaned well. I will probably go somewhere else next time. It was $180 and I was disappointed with the lack of attention to detail in some areas. read more

I think this company deserves a moderate to good review for the effort they put in to fix my issue. I bought a remote start from them via Groupon and had several problems with it throughout the first year. I became increasingly frustrated as I would have to drive out to Platte City to get my car worked on - and they never seemed to understand the issue fully. I finally broke down when the next day after I brought my car in for work, the model stopped working again. I called in a fury, wanting a full refund. Instead, the manager gave me a completely new unit, lent me a car for the day so I could get to work, and even delivered the car to me at work when it was finished being worked on. I have to acknowledge that he made a huge effort to make this problem right and I respect that greatly. read more

Super thrilled with my experience at NW Audio, I called around to many different places to get estimates and was either met with someone who had no idea what they were talking about, or just sounded inconvenienced by having to answer my questions. This was not the case at NW Audio, the guy on the phone was friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. Looked for a place that could hard wire in a dash cam. Called several places and everyone but these guys just didn't sound that interested in helping us. They got us in the next day, on time, and took just as long as they said it would - one hour. While they are a little pricey in my opinion they did good, timely work, and kept us on schedule. Took my car in a week ago to get carpets cleaned. I have all leather seats so all that needed done was the cargo area and floors... they had only done the floors in front. I took it back in to get the cargo area done, and the back still had dog hair on the fabric. I went in to ask about it and was told they can't get dog hair out. I have had my car cleaned at many places without an issue with dog hair. At the same time I was in, another customer said they didn't detail their car correctly either. Worst company I ever had dealings with. They installed my subs. Up charged me for an amp I did not want as I did not need. Ok, whatever. Then I had to come back 5 times to have them finish the work as each time something else was wrong. Finally they tell me they are sorry and inform me they will take my Maserati in on Thursday and I would get it back Sunday completed. I come back to an additional $796 bill. Wait, what? I have already paid you over $3000 just for this install. Now I need to pay you for what you had to correct due to your own mistakes? I paid $200 to leave after arguing with them for hours and immediate contacted my lawyer. Even their own installer told me they where trying to screw me. Scam artists. read more

A couple years ago I purchased a Groupon and got my windows tinted here. Just last year the tint on my driver's side window started peeling off. It was just hanging there on my window and I was out of town so I pulled it off the rest of the way. When I called NW Audio back because I remembered I have a "lifetime warranty" on the tint, they said it was not under warranty because I didn't leave the tint hanging on my window. SERIOUSLY? I've had plenty of cars that I've gotten windows tinted on and I've never had an issue with the tint coming off. I was told they could tint the window for $40. No thanks. I won't be back. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR MOTORCYCLE TO THESE GUYS! Prior to dropping almost 1500 bucks with these guys, I was assured they had installers well experienced with motorcycle installs. I have a custom Road Glide so I figured paying a professional for wiring was the best plan. Couldn't have been further from the truth. Timeline: - Wrong kit ordered, so installed what they had - Took bike back to them to get the rest of the ordered kit installed. - Lights installed in wrong location to shine the lights directly into my eyes - Sloppy (no wire ties or hiding wires properly through wire channels in frame) - Had to take the bike back to have the lights moved and they didn't even remove the 3M install strips off my paint from their wrong install. I was told they "didn't do that type of work" - Took the bike back again after I threatened to sue them when/if removal damaged the custom paint. - Finally just a simple light kit they sold me was installed, After paying for this disaster install I had to remove my tank and drop the wires into the wire guide to protect from engine heat. read more

Don't waste your time buying the window tinting groupon for this place. They will find a way to jack up the price or make an excuse why they cant do your car for the groupon price. They told me that my car would be $350 to tint & they would only deduct the actual price I paid for the groupon from that price, not the full value of the groupon. I asked them what they would normally charge for a "regular" car & they said $200-$250. So the value of the groupon should be $200-$250. I told them I would pay them the extra $100 difference between the groupon & the estimate they gave me & they refused, saying that they would only deduct the actual price I paid for the groupon from the $350, so I would be charged the full $350 to get my windows tinted. What a bunch of scam artists. I went to Steve's window tint store on Vivion Road & he is going to do it for $200. read more

Had a remote starter, radio, woofer, booster and after market headlights I purchased installed with these guys. Had constant problems with everything and had to bring my vehicle back 8+ times. The installers had bad attitudes and didn't do good work. They left scratches and extra holes for the base knob and drilled several holes into the floor board moving the amp around after discovering it was mounted where the rear passengers feet would step on it. The owner was nice enough but eventually was a lost cause. He or the manager definitely didn't do a thorough quality inspection on the multiple work sessions I had. Very disappointing when trying to revive an old vehicle to just add more problems to it. read more

I took my car here expecting a good job. When I came back to pick my car up same day, the tint was falling off, scrathes everywhere. We had them fix it. To notice the next day there were bubbles and HUGE scratches everywhere. Took it back and had them redo all the windows. Basically I took it back 3 times to have then redo, had tint on for about 2 wks and there was still so much wrong with it. Took it back,had them take it off abd give me my money back. Not to mention the guy dripped the adhesive all over seat cover, they were just overall careless with my vehicle. Very dissapointed and do not reccomend getting tint done here! read more

Purchased a remote start and had it installed for 2013 Fusion. Remote does start car and that is it. No heat, no A/C, no rear defrost. After contacting NW Audio about the failure to heat, cool & defrost, they stated that on the 2012 & 2013 Fusion, Ford had disabled the computer that allowed the remote start to blow hot, cold and defrost and that it could only be corrected at the dealer. When asked why I wasn't notified of this issue prior to purchasing the remote start, they stated that they inform everyone prior to purchase. When I stated that they had not done so, they stated I can't prove that. WHY WOULD I BY A REMOTE START THAT WON'T HEAT OR COOL MY CAR???? Can't be trusted. Gotta love a business that says "you can't prove that we didn't notify you of the issue". They'll be more than happy to sell and install you a remote start that they know won't work the way it should. read more

Took my Grand Prix in a week ago to be detailed to get ready to sell. Purchased the Ultimate Detail Package. When I picked the car up, 4 hours later, the interior, exterior and engine "looked" good but the interior of the car was extremely wet. So wet, I literally had to sit on plastic and the floor board carpet was sopping wet. While driving home, I noticed static coming out of the door stereo speakers which I thought was very strange. The next day, instead of static, there was screeching from the speakers when I opened the driver's door and the radio's volume was screwed up. The following day the screeching became constant even when driving. Asked a number of "car" people about the issue and all thought it was due to connections or fuses getting wet from the detailing. Contacted Jerry first thing the following Monday about the screeching and voiced my concern that I had a radio when I drove in, but now have this horrific noise coming out of my speakers in a car I want to sell. He had his installer look at the issue that day, but insisted that it was "nothing they had done" that messed up my radio...."Simply a coincidence that my old radio went bad" at the SAME time as their WET detailing job! Since they are also an Audio store, I asked how much an inexpensive radio would be to replace. Jerry told me around $300 dollars.....so now a detailing job goes from $160 to $460!! I think NOT! No discount, compensation or resolution was offered. And now I have a car, I want to sell, that screeches when you open the door as well as while being driven. NW Audio... Horrible customer service, rude employees, and don't stand behind their work. I had my brand new car tinted, while I was driving away I noticed they had played with almost all the buttons inside my car, including the lumbar support in my driver seat and changed settings for my electronic parking brake!! I pulled over to check things out more and discovered dirty black spots on my doors, seats, and dash... On my brand new leather, streaks running down the passenger side windshield and back window, they had dripped water into my speakers in the back window and didn't even bother to try and clean it up. I called the store and asked to speak with the owner... I was connected with the store manager who was rude, not helpful, and argumentative. I again asked for owner to contact me.. still have not heard anything from anyone! Mind you I drove over 7 hours for them to tint my widows because they had done a great job on 2 other cars of mine.
