I thought good body shops were a thing of the past. Then, disaster struck. My wife damaged the rear bumper on her new car. Her new car with only 3000 miles on it and before her first oil change. Her beautiful Metallic Baby Blue Ford Probe. She cried. I knew I was in trouble. Insurance companies suck. If I filed a claim they would "adjust" the damage down to 50 cents, plus my $500 deductible. Yep! Five hundred dollars and fifty cents! Why bother to call them. They will only want to pay for crappy workmanship. Been there, done that. I had a similar experience four years before, when a drunk driver with no insurance hit the back of my new car. I wanted a new bumper cover. They wouldn't do it. "We can fix it", they said. "It's repairable". I looked at one that they're "partner" shop had just repaired. I could see the repair area from 6 feet away. My wife would not tolerate a sloppy repair on her new "Baby Blue"-the first and only car she has ever owned. After shopping online and reading customer reviews, I came in to meet the crew at Prestige Auto Body. They clearly understood my problem. Alex said he could match the factory color and he really did. I bought a new bumper cover from Ford Motor Co. and brought it to him along with the car. After experimenting with the various components of Ford Metallic Blue paint, the crew came up with a perfect match. I'm so glad that I found this place. I mostly saw one and two star reviews of the large national chains. Prestige had many 4 and 5 star reviews. It is often said: "You get what you pay for". Most of the time that is true. Sometimes you get 'honked' and get less than what you paid for, and then, in rare occasions, you get MORE than what you paid for. In my association with Prestige Auto KC, the later is exactly what happened. A deer did a "hit an run" on the side of my Ford Edge while I was stopped! I researched collision repair facilities and found 'Prestige Auto Collision at the top of the reviews, both Google and Angie's List. I called and made an appointment with Alex for an estimate. Long story longer here...they were so friendly and professional. He was able to remain w/in the USAA's allocated amount for the repair, and even got me a NEW FORD fender and bumper cover (not used/aftermarket) as the insurance company stipulated, AND was able to 'blend' the paint on the door and other fender to make my Edge look better than new. Ya, I know, you're asking 'how can it be any better than new'. Well, since you ask, I'll tell you. The original plastic bumper cover that came with the vehicle was not quite the same color blue as the hood/fenders. I don't know how that happened, but it did. It was just a touch lighter in shade. NOT ANY MORE. It matches exactly, the Edge looks awesome. BOTTOM LINE: If your insurance company will let you work with Prestige Auto Collision....DO IT. Even if you have to pay a small amount out of pocket, (which Alex will work very hard to not happen) I say do it. It will be worth your $. I could not be more pleased. Thx Prestige Auto! read more

My brand NEW 2013 Fiat 500 with only 8k was in a hit & run accident. I thought my car won't drive or look like a new car no more. I dropped it off to Prestige Auto KC, best reviewed body shop in KC. To my surprise and being as picky person as I am, Alex was very knowledgeable to walk me threw point by point on how the repairs will be handled with comforting words(a first thought) and I quote "Once repairs are completed your Fiat will look like new". This was an insurance claim repair with a two week repair time estimate where Prestige Auto KC was able to complete the repair in a little over a week with a promised expectations. My 2013 Fiat 500 looks and drives like NEW. Seamless transition between body parts and precision fitting that matched all gaps between body parts throughout the car. Wish this review had a photo posting capability. I would post a pictures of my Fiat the day of the purchase, the day of the accident, and the day I picked it up from Prestige Auto KC. Let me start out by saying that if you don't chose Prestige Auto Collision, congratulations you played your self. The customer service that I received from Alex was above and beyond. I was constantly informed on what was being done with my vehicle. ALL OEM parts were used! (Even though the insurance company had every part on the estimate as aftermarket.) Original estimate was $4,300, final was $6,300 because of OEM parts and attention to detail! The inside was cleaned and detailed. The black metallic paint was blended flaulously. (With lifetime warranty) The seems of the body panels aligned perfectly. $6,300 later and my Chrysler 300c looked like I just pulled it off the showroom floor! Legit. If you don't have time to read the rest of this, then consider that "nuff said." They got me OEM parts for a wreck caused by another driver, despite the driver's insurance company only paying them an after-market part rate. They did this after I already told them that if they couldn't get OEM parts, I would accept the insurance company's unwillingness. They got OEM parts anyway, no extra charge. I probably sound like a cheap advertisement right now, but actually, I'm just a guy with some free time who felt like leaving a review. I teach math classes and make my own exams every year to best match the topics I teach, rather than using generic templates. Their work reminds me of the extra work I do without getting extra pay. read more

In the aftermath of the ice storm that hit the weekend before Christmas I managed to do many thousands of dollars of damage to my car. Prestige Auto pressed my insurance provider to let them use OEM parts and they did an amazing job piecing my poor car back together. To Alex and everyone else working there, thanks! I would recommend you guys to anyone! So I got my car back and, once again, Prestige did a phenomenal job. About a week and a half later I hit a deer and did about $9k worth of damage. I recently wrecked my car and took it to Prestige to repair. Alex not only made the required repairs, but worked with the insurance agency for payment and made my car better than it was!
