Was hoping I would never have to deal with a body shop, but due to an accident I landed on Tanners. Tanner's was highly recommended by other people with the same make and model in a private Facebook group. Yet, just because people state something - I still had to do my own research, and I got multiple estimates from different shops. Based on what I was told - I honestly liked what and how things were being replaced. Through out the repair process - they kept me updated via multiple e-mails every other day or so. They were actually sent the wrong body part early in the repair process and even sent me a picture of it, just so I knew they weren't making it up. After my vehicle was repaired and I needed further documentation - they still kept me updated even though they had already been paid by the insurance company - and had nothing to gain. I also actually spoke to the insurance company in the beginning - and they informed me 'Tanner was a good guy.' Now you can dismiss that - but the fact the insurance company is on personable terms with the body shop - that's a win/win for me. It may sound weird, but I'm actually glad I was in an accident as Tanner's made my vehicle look better than before they got it. read more

The absolute worst at communication. Don't bring your daily driver here, only trust these guys with a car you don't plan on seeing for months. You will get 0 updates about the progress of your car, and 9 times out of 10 they will not pick up the phone when you call. Regardless of how busy they may be, this is just unacceptable for a business in 2022. They did good work with my car, hence the 2 stars, but my lord were they terrible with communicating. It took them over a month to estimate the damages to my car. They never pick up their phone. They then let an insurance adjuster take my car into their possession and transported it somewhere else without my knowledge, without me getting my personal belongings out of the car, and without me signing off on anything. Also, everything worth of value that was left in my car was stolen except for the seat covers. But they claim that they had no wrong doing even though this whole mistake is on them. Beyond pathetic and unprofessional service this company has displayed. read more

I have used Tanner's repeatedly for not only collision work but customization. The staff are all auto enthusiasts and work on everything from Kia's all the way to Lamborghini's. The attention to detail is incredible, though I think the most important area they excel in is their ability to provide solutions when complex problems arise. They don't simply operate off of a manual and give up should they be faced with an unorthodox customization or repair request. There can be a lengthy wait, but this speaks only to the popularity of the shop and amount of repeat business they receive. First I would like to start with the professionalism that all of these guys have at Tanners. They are truly a rare breed, even my insurance guy stated how great they were to work with. They explain everything, they will answer all of your questions, and they will put up with your constant bugging while you wait for your baby to be fixed. My car is a 2014 Focus ST, to say lightly I love my car, I was involved in a rear end, where a guy pulled in front of me. My day... err my month was ruined at that moment, or so I thought. After asking around, I was suggested Tanners, and I am very glad I went with these guys. My car looks better than the day I bought it, I am a very hard person to please when it comes to stuff like this, and I have 0 complaints going with Tanners. While it took my car a little while to get done, it was only due to Tanners not taking crappy parts, instead they made sure the parts were perfect before allowing them on my car. So to conclude, I highly recommend this shop to anyone. Just go by and talk to any of these guys and you will see what I am talking about. Tanners came highly recommended to work on my old vehicle. I contacted them about working on my vehicle and they said it would be a couple weeks and they would call me. After waiting two weeks after they were supposed to call me I contacted them about when they wanted to work on my vehicle. They finally made a time for me to have my vehicle delivered to them. I told them the coverage I had on my vehicle and mysteriously they estimated just above it but did not want to honor their estimate to work on my vehicle. I asked them why they would put an estimate on a vehicle but would not honor the estimate! I had to have them send me a copy of the estimate because they did not copy me on the email to my insurance company like requested. They said there was frame damage on my vehicle which obviously put it over the over the of coverage. They said they wanted to wait to talk to my insurance company to see what they wanted to do. I told them the value of coverage that their estimate exceeded and it would my option to pay the overage to have repairs done. Justin continued to state he had to wait for the insurance company to make a decision. After waiting with no response from Tanners or Justin I find out that they called my insurance company and told them it needed to be towed from their shop because the city tagged it for illegally parking! The vehicle was parked where they requested it to be parked to work on it. It's obvious they did not want to work on my vehicle but put an estimate on there to exceed my value to make it easier for them to get out of the repairs that they estimated. They wasted my time that cost me more money to have it fixed! read more

Tanners fixed two of my cars now and they both came out looking like new! They are very professional and get things done in a timely manner. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my car. Knowing nothing about cars it's nice to feel like I can trust someone to not rip me off. They will keep you posted on the progress and are always friendly. Tanners fixed my 2013 Audi Q5 and it looks great like nothing had ever happened. I had some issues with my insurance covering the cost and they stepped up and worked directly with my insurance to make sure it was fully covered for me. On top of it all they have a lifetime warranty on the work. I live in Denver and will go back to Tanners in KC if I ever need any more repair work - worth the 8 hours drive. PS Justin was great to work with, nice guy, patient, and friendly. They treated me like they wanted to work on my car. Better than any other place who quoted me. read more

After two months in this shop for repairs I get there to discover this shop had butchered my car, committed insurance fraud and to top it off they forged my signature on a check and cashed it. When I confronted him with the evidence he wrote me a check for the repairs that need to be redone but before I could make it to the bank to cash the check, he put a stop payment on the check he had just wrote me 15 minutes before. He also has taken multiple vacations since my car went to his shop, and at who's expense??? MINE, my Insurance company and I'd be willing to bet other people having their repairs done there too! I just filed a police report against him today(I had plenty of crystal clear evidence against him too) so hopefully this stops him and his shop from taking advantage of innocent people and their insurance companies. I hope he receives the best corrective disciplinary actions the state and/or federal government can provide to ensure the proper rehabilitation that he desperately needs. I wish I would have checked into posted reviews and their BBB rating before using there "services" and would recommend you do just that before allowing them to touch your vehicle. They pray on innocent people that have had an unfortunate setback then take the innocent through the ringer and leave them with an unsafe vehicle so the shop can pocket the profits to finance lavish vacations. read more
