I've been patronizing Expo Nails for upwards of seven years, and shame on me, what's prompted the…read morevery late review is the contrasting quality of recent manicures while traveling. Guess we don't appreciate something until it's gone (ish)... My most recent gel manicure (on my natural nails) via EN/Jenny was completed two weeks ago today. With the exception of visually apparent new growth, the manicure looks as fresh today as when I left the salon. No chips, no peeling... (And, if they didn't look SUPER cute, I would share pics. Wait. What? - I often get really unique designs that I prefer staying that way - unique to me. :) Again with the contrasting recent experiences, I am now even more impressed both with Jenny's knowledge of how to best care for nails (mine easily split, chip, crack and break), her level of attention to detail while applying color and design, and her overall attitude towards her work. Impressive. Also necessary is to acknowledge and compliment the other nail techs who also do really nice work: Tony, Wayne, Han, Rachelle, Katie, Ashlynn... in addition to all being conscientious about their work, they do a nice job keeping the salon clean and running (mostly) smooth. There have been mix-ups; it happens. In the end, I'd much prefer dealing with any mix-up (and any accompanying frustration that may exist) as to ending up with the more expensive manicures that (both) chipped on multiple nails inside each of the weeks they were received when traveling.

The design looked absolutely horrendous, the ombré looked like old, nasty polish just splotched on the nail. The nails looked like the person who did her nails had no care in the slightest. My cousin was actively texting me while in the salon still, and stated "We are at expo nails. We're trying to see if there is a better nail salon around here" after I asked where she went and got nails done. Here are some other things she texted me while in the salon still: - "And idk who did them, she didn't talk to me the WHOLE TIME" - "Ik, and I am not even good! This girl did NOT do a good job at all" (After I mentioned she would've been better off doing the nails herself) - "They are so splotchy and just...ugh" Based on these text she sent me, she it shows the service was just as bad as the nails. Not one text she sent while in the nail salon was positive about the salon, service, anything.

I have gone here a few times but last weekend I got a pedicure that was incredibly painful (I went…read morein with zero foot/toe pain). Ken tried to remove "ingrown nails" that were not giving me any pain or notice. I wound up bleeding pretty good on my left big toe. He also used the dremmel to remove regular polish-I tried to stop him saying "this is just regular polish" - and I should have left right then but didn't. Now my nails are weak and breaking while my big toe got infected and I had to go to the podiatrist. Turns out Ken left a chunk of nail in there and likely used dirty tools so I had a wicked infection. I had to get 2mm of my toe nail removed and a slice of the skin. Can't wait to see the dr bill. don't go here. Pay a few dollars more for a clean salon that autoclave instruments.

She did not scrub my feet at all and did not do anything with calluses or my cuticles which seems crazy to me because that's the entire purpose I go to get my feet done! You know these places get away with not doing a resurface or even half of a refund and we just got to put up with it you know it's not fair it's total bullshit they should be better about their customer service for sure not to mention their service!
