I explained to the nice lady in the office about my previous experience and she told me to book only 1 lesson so that in case I don't like the instructor then I wouldn't have wasted money on a whole package. I like how lessons are 1 hour here and the first lesson is an hour and a half because the instructor spends the first half hour explaining to you about driving. Even though I told him that I have some experience driving, he still sat me down for a half hour explaing everything I need to know about driving. Right there I knew that he was an awesome instructor. The school in the bronx didn't do anything like that. I only did 5 lessons with the guy so far and I'm driving a whole lot better now. The last lesson he put me on the belt pkwy. I've never been on a highway before. I was impressed because I was under the impression that driving schools only teach you what you need to know to pass the road test and highways aren't a part of it. The driving school in the bronx never put me on a highway. This driving school is awesome and I recommend anybody to do business with this place. I have 2 more lessons and my road test next week. I already know I'm going to pass because this instructor helped me gain confidence that I need to drive on the road. My turns were not that great but I have improved. I was over cautious but now I'm much better. He helped me be more assertive. I also like the way he's informative about the DMV. He knows how much points you'll lose on the road test if you make errors. Like one time when I turned I was too close to the parked cars and he said you'll lose 15 points on the road test if you do that. I promise to you guys that you'll not regret having this man teach you to drive. He's one of those people that actually want you to pass. If he didn't want you to pass, then he wouldn't be doing what he's doing now. For the people who gave negative comments: you're either people from other driving schools or clearly don't know a good instructor. He may come out aggressive(which I don't take personally) but he never cursed at me. I came here to learn how to drive and pass my road test. As long as he's teaching me properly, I don't mind the aggressiveness. Also keep in mind that you're driving on the road with other cars so sometimes you need a little aggressiveness to keep your mind sharp. He told me himself not to take his aggressiveness personal. I know I'm going to pass my road test. As long as you do what he teaches you, you'll probably end up passing with 0 points like some of these other people did! Kudos to NYC CDL AUTO CLUB! I called NYC CDL Auto Club on 3/18/16 to inquire about getting my cdl B license. I needed to get my cdl license as quickly as possible due to a job offering. I live in Queens, so naturally the first thing I did was call cdl schools in Queens, and none of them were able to get me a cdl road test until late April or May. I then saw NYC CDL Auto Club online and decided to give them a call, and I am so so so glad I did. Julie, the office secretary who is so sweet and awesome said she could get me a road test April 11th in Staten Island and I accepted and took their 6 lesson package, plus the bus for the road test, which was a fantastic deal and value. A few hours later Julie called me back to let me know she was able to get me March 30th for my road test in Red Hook, Brooklyn. I was so excited and accepted. She then called me back with a schedule for me to take the lessons (which I was only able to do on the weekends, as I work full time on the weekdays). She fit me in to take the 6 lessons and my instructor was Antioly, who is also the owner of the company. Antioly has been doing this for a very long time and is extremely experienced and knowledgeable. He taught me how to drive the bus and more importantly drilled into my head what I need to do to pass the road test. Antioly was fantastic and I am so thankful I found him and his company. From the first call to Julie on 3/18 to passing my cdl B road test just 12 days later, I could not be more happier. I strongly recommend NYC CDL Auto Club if you are looking to learn to drive any type of vehicle, no matter what it is,,,car, bus, cdl B, cdl A, do not hesitate to call NYC CDL Auto Club. Very unprofessional. Anatoliy Shcherbinskiy was very rude and told me "Go **** yourself" after HE was late to my bus lesson scheduled for 1p.m. on Coyle Street. I never received my bus lesson, for which I was charged $80. There is a Waste Management Plant on that block and the smell is horrible. Why would you expect someone to wait, and then wait on a block that smells like sewage? I would not recommend this business to anyone. Below is my second response since it mysteriously got removed: You left out the part where you told me "Go FUCK yourself." And when you were already LATE. And now you're playing the innocent card, typical white man move. I don't care who reads this, I'm not here to play any games. We live a system that is going to cover you for being disrespectful to me. ANTHONY IS A HUGE SCAM AND POS. To start off he has a terrible ATTITUDE. As I sat with him for the lessons he would be overly AGGRESSIVE as one of the other posts said. He purposely told me to not say certain things during the road test. For example he would tell me to not say "there's no rust on the lug nuts". But if you look up in the CDL handbook it's a requirement to pass. I showed this to him and he just got mad and gave me more attitude. Then while your doing the lesson with him he smokes that vape and the smoke blows right by your face as you drive. His papers to study DO NOT coincide with his physical lessons. When I also pointed that out to him he literally had nothing to say except that it's an old paper. So then he obviously DOES NOT update his material. He's also a pig, he took a piss outside of the bus during the lesson. No washing hands, not even hand sanitizer. I went to FERRARI DRIVING SCHOOL after that and had the best experience I ever had learning on the road with an awesome and kind patient instructor named Ira. On comparison of the two schools I started to notice that ANTHONY also makes u drive a certain way to preserve his bus. Not for your convenience but for his. UNPROFESSIONAL AND INADEQUATE. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. HE WILL SCAM YOU INTO FAILING SO YOU CAN RESERVE HIS BUS FOR A SECOND TIME ROAD TEST ($300). Passed my driving test today for the first time. Anthony is a very experienced instructor and it shows during the lessons. When you show up, you have to listen to what he says and work with him, help him teach you. I encourage you to ask questions, clarify things, state your concerns, whatever it is. He is patient with all of that. Sometimes, if you do anything dangerous on the road, he will very sternly correct you. You shouldn't take this personally, because it's what's necessary for you to not do that dangerous thing again. If your instructor was casual about it, it wouldn't teach you to avoid that dangerous motion. During the lessons he is constantly reminding you of every step during every maneuver, so that it gets ingrained in your head. I noticed that (as I took more lessons), I would start doing the maneuver at the same time as he started to say it. For example, when changing lanes, he would tell me, "look over the shoulder," and I would already be doing so because he's reminded me about it so many times. I feel confident now in my driving because I've built these driving habits. Anthony and I even helped each other out with a few things here and there outside of driving lessons, so I can tell you that he really is a nice guy and will help you on your way to your license as much as he can. read more

I loved all these guys. From the really sweet secretary to the owner himself. Everyone is polite, funny, professional and wants you to get your CDL. People who write negative reviews for this place are fools, because it has nothing to do with the company but Bk & Staten Island DMV Testers are brutal, and have no empathy. I didn't make it my 1st or 2nd time, but I didn't cry or give up. I stuck with them because I trusted them and I wouldn't have my CDL Class A today without them. I will also return to this school for other endorsements. I had so many negative experiences with other companies that just take your money and don't even tell you what a pretrip or break test is. Not this company. THEY WILL WORK WITH YOU ALL THE WAY! I'd take a 2 hour train ride, both ways, from Riverdale in The Bronx to Coney Island in Bk, where they are located because they're the best. I'd recommend them to any guy or gal looking to get there CDL License. By this time next year I will be making $100,000 a year after being unemployed for longer than I want to remember. I received my driver's license in December 2012 but have since been frightened to drive. Luckily after my mother signed me up for these classes in September 2013, I was able to readjust to the wheel and have slowly pacified myself. I have a great instructor whose strict attitude persuades me to review my driving skills. He takes alot of great risks, such as allowing me to drive on the highway (as he informed me, many instructors skipped this step not only because the student is frightened, but because they are frightened themselves!). I have always been frightened to drive on the highway, but I knew that it is an obstacle which I did not want to evade. This month marks the first anniversairy that I received my driver's license, and I am still learning with gratitude to this amazing school. Anthony is an excellent driving teacher. He gave me clear instructions on how to drive the car. I was anxious to drive at first but Anthony persuaded me to become calm behind the wheel and drive smoothly. In each lesson, he had me practice turning and parking multiple times so I can turn and park properly and fix my other mistakes. He even taught me how to park on the left side of the road and even park like a regular driver would. Over time, I gained confidence with my driving ability and I am able to turn smoothly and turn the steering wheel to park in any situation whenever I'm too far or close to the curb. As a result of Anthony's teachings, I have passed my road test! I personally encourage anyone to take lessons with Anthony and he will give you the confidence and skills to pass your road test. read more

He is very patient and can really teach how to feel comfortable behind the wheel. I signed up for driving lessons as a beginner, having never sat in a driver's seat before. In 8 lessons my instructor Anthony had me feeling like one of the safest and confident drivers on the road. He not only made sure I learned HOW to drive but he taught me how to be a driver that makes the road safe for all. The instructor is great. I passed my CDL class B on my first exam. He explains everything to you constantly and remind you of everything. He is stern and tries to make sure you do your best in all aspect of getting your CDL. He reminds you how to do everything by showing you and then let's you practice yourself. Every class you drive for 45mins, pre trip inspection and also your air brake tests are thought. If you have problems in some areas, he will focus on that part for a few mins, watch how you do it, and tell you what you need to improve. At the end of the lesson he always reminds you to study the booklet and say the steps for everything in your head throughout the day to remember everything. Good luck guys! read more

I started the lessons without any experiences and knowledge on how to drive and after 6 lessons, I can confidently say that I am better than most people in the streets. Anthony is patient and is willing to teach. All you have to do is trust him and listen to what he tells you to do. He is clear and concise on what should or should not be done during the road test. The car that I drove is a sedan with great pedal and steering response. There is a secondary brake in the car which Anthony will use if something goes wrong, so you can safely drive without being too nervous on making a mistake. Having that ease of mind really helps in the beginning. Overall, I highly recommend this driving school. read more

I am currently taken lessons from Antony and must say that he is a very skilled instructor. He teaches you in a calm and precise manner that by the time your half way done with your lessons you are well prepared for the driving test. This man has been teaching people how to drive for 20 years..He is a master instructor. He also has a superb ability to transfer his experiences that he has had on the road on to you so by the time you pass the driving test you are also well prepared to drive independently too without the slightest need of assistance. Recently I have seen that a person wrote very poorly about this school. We were both taking the road test and even though some nice words weren't exchanged. this school does not deserve one star. It's the one of the best driving school available in city. They have a nice packages to choose from, the mid rate package comes with extra free lesson, road test appt and car for that. That's the most valuable package compare to others. Also to mention that instructor Anthony is very professional and gives advises as it supposed to be, patiently teaching how to drive from scratch, answers and explains all questions. Car for studies is pretty good, like new condition, clean and had no stinks at all. Not even exaggerating, this is probably the WORST customer service experience I have ever had.. the owner/ driver Anthony, he is such a disgusting, rude, vile human being. He is extremely unprofessional and does not possess any of the qualities necessary to run a successful business. I've managed multiple establishments and we would NEVER treat our guests the way he does. Please believe the bad reviews! Will be filing a claim of discrimination, as well as with the BBB for illegitimate business practices. You'd be better off spending your hard earned money elsewhere. I had an extremely remarkable experience with this driving school. Anthony is a really good instructor and if anyone says otherwise they are honestly crazy!! He is a sweet, and very kind man. The entire nine lessons I had with him, he was so understanding and patient. He really helped me through it and fixed all my driving mistakes. He is always on time and never got angry when I had to make him wait. He has a very nice modern car, and it is always clean, unlike other driving schools.
