we went there to meet some friends.
this spot have a lot of street parking available during the day and late afternoon, also the outside sitting is a bit of a challenge as everyone wanna sit outside during the summer time so be sure to come by early. also make sure that you have an umbrella because there is a high chance of rain during the summer time here.
this area seems to be very hip and rock and roll, I saw plenty of rock and black clothes around, sadly at this bar there is no rock and only some samba and pagoda playing, that was the biggest let down for me.
besides the bad music everything else is kind of cool. the sitting is pretty great and the view of the square and the churches it is pretty neat, there is some amazing stuff to look at sitting on the outside of this bar. be aware of the baggers there are plenty here, every now and then there will be someone coming by asking for some money or cigarettes.
the service here is pretty slow but the staff is very friendly.
they have a very American menu in the sense that here there will be plenty of hamburgers and sandwiches as well as fries and finger food, they do also have meals and all but mostly ppl eat the small meals and sandwiches.
the drinks...
- strawberry caipirinha - AMAZING!! this is the must drink of this place at least for me. I can't stop thinking about it even now. one of the best drinks I have had in a while.
- X-costela- this sandwich comes alone or in a combo with fries. I got it with fries and I got a very cool sauce. the sandwich itself tasted pretty nice but nothing very impressive. somewhat the sandwich is a bit small and somewhat dry. it could be a lot better.
two cool things are the fact that they have free wifi and a cool rib rack thing going on in the back.
overall we had a great time here, even with the food needing some improvement the drinks were great and the vibe was pretty awesome. I will definitely come back if I ever have the chance. read more
