Apparently no one informed this criminally sane genius and night-time stalker that iPhone photos are uploaded to the iCloud and that destroying a random woman's phone does not destroy the data on the sim card. Basic common sense for abusive criminals is fundamental for personal growth. Later, I decided to go to the 10th preicent to file a report expecting the bare minimus. To my great surprise I was overwhelmed with the time and care everyone devoted for my case. From the officer in the reception to detective Human to officer Rossi, everyone made me feel worthy and deserve their precious time. I don't know what the outcome of the case but whatever it is, I felt that I have these great humans will have my back when needed. All I need to do is approaching them. There is only one precinct no PSA in the neighborhood. As a civilian I felt slighted and ignored and slighted by the people who took an oath to help the citizens of the community. The fact that there was only one officer for the front, that was in the back for over an hour with someone who a detective came to talk to is insanity. It was annoying and fustrated to have to just stand around waiting to be assisted with no emphaty just didn't sit right. It took so much self control to not curse them out. This precinct should be investigated and they should be more than one officer to assist the front when people come in especially if the one officer is going to be spending an substantial amount of time with a person

Absolutely the nicest and most engaging people we have ever come across. We shared a few stories and told them about our police force back home. They were so happy to chat to us and share (limited information of course). We felt really comfortable engaging with them and they did a fantastic job at the protest too. Long story short: I live in NYC... I started to notice packages go missing from the lobby of my East Village apartment several months ago -- either my own package, or those of my neighbors (based the ransacked boxes left behind). At first I assumed there was a delivery problem, but after repeat occurrences as well as sightings of suspicious characters lurking around the building -- literally hanging out in the bushes out front, or standing in the lobby smoking cigarettes... Despite multiple complaints to the building's live-in super as well as the management company (shout out Gatsby Enterprises, your 1-star review is coming next), this issue continues to persist, with the most recent incident occurring about an hour ago... So here I am, writing a glowing review for the NYPD 9th precinct while sitting in the NYPD 9th precinct for my 4th time over the past ~6 months. While the fact that I have to be here right now is frustrating, I couldn't ask for better treatment and service. The officers, detectives and staff have been extremely helpful every time I've been in here -- even the times where I only had $10 worth of goods stolen (but wanted to file a report either way, to create a paper trail). I wrongfully assumes that filing these reports would be a painstaking process, but it's been quite the opposite: each and every time I come in, the team treats me with so much respect and takes my issue seriously, even though I'm sure they have much bigger fish to fry. I've never been made to feel silly or unimportant and I've consistently felt as though my safety was their top priority. While I hope others do not have to experience this business, I want people to know that they're in great hands if they do. Thank you to the 9th precinct and all of the NYPD for their service.

There was a time when they would hassle me just because they wanted. I frequently stop to talk and let the police officers know I appreciate them. They put their life on the line daily. I love the police officers with Four Legs, Dogs and Horses. Everyone knows I've adopted my Yelp Police Son Jason! He's not Four legged but he's still cute! I pray for Jason all day. I count the days until his retirement. This is a very sad week for the NYPD. After two years without a police officer shooting, a 31 year old police officer was shot on Monday March 25, 2024. He was a husband and father of a nine month old boy. I'm very saddened and concerned about current events in my city. NYPD is the best on the planet Earth. How can you not be proud of individuals that put their lives on the line daily to keep the people of NYC safe?

The biggest problem wasn't the DMV process or the paperwork -- it was the absolutely unacceptable attitude of several employees toward visitors. First, the security guard was extremely difficult to understand. English isn't my first language either, so I would never criticize someone simply for their pronunciation or accent. What I absolutely can criticize, however, is the rude and dismissive way visitors are treated. Then I was called to one of the windows. No hello, no goodbye, no basic courtesy whatsoever. The employee acted as if helping customers was an inconvenience and kept having unrelated conversations with coworkers while dealing with me. It felt completely disrespectful and unprofessional. After completing my exams, I was called to another window, and somehow the experience was exactly the same. Several employees were having a loud conversation about personal matters while customers were waiting to be served. Some were eating at their workstations and casually chatting instead of focusing on the people standing in front of them. I understand that DMV employees deal with hundreds of people and that this is not an easy job. But basic professionalism is not an unreasonable expectation. Say hello. Communicate respectfully. Finish helping the customer before starting a personal conversation with five coworkers. At the very least, act like the person standing in front of you deserves basic respect. I rarely leave reviews like this, but the overall attitude at this location was genuinely awful. The actual DMV process was fine. The customer service and professionalism were not. Management seriously needs to address how visitors are treated at this location.

Today I came to renew my license and upgrade to Enhanced. One of my verifying documents was my new Passport card that I sort of regret spending money on. The agent noticed and recommended that I just get the Real ID. But I don't like carrying more than just my license just in case I lose my wallet, I don't lose everything. But what's the point of having the passport book AND card if you're going to leave both at home? So I saved myself $30 and got the Real ID instead and put my passport card in my wallet. Good looking out, agent. The only thing I wished worked was the online check-in. I tried two different browsers and checked my location settings and couldn't get it to work. But the lady at the front was doing a good job of directing everyone who came in quickly. I waited about 30 mins before being seen and had my transaction completed in about 5 mins. The days of spending hours at the DMV are gone. I think the main reason for that is the online screening process for documents. Getting confirmation that you have all the necessary documentation ahead of time streamlines the whole process greatly. The office is easy to get to from the 1, 4, & 5 trains. It's also accessible though I don't think the door is one of those automatic ones. It's a good office that isn't too crowded mid-day. I'll probably come back to this one again.

Went with a friend for a license renewal today. Had to do in person ( vs online) since renewing and…read moreupgrading driver's license. Much improved since a driver license renewal in 2021. You can do all the prep for your visit on-line and reserve a slot on the DMV site. The whole process took less than 30 minutes from showing the appointment to walking out with interim renewal. Clerks and greeter were very courteous and knowledgable. This location is preferable for me as opposed to the midtown location.
