I found the initial service personable, the billing system better (than WC), and a quicker "get me in" time in the beginning. I have since switched my doctors out of here. Access by phone is horrible, wait time for appointments is just as bad as elsewhere, and there is a lag time between labs and receiving results that is ridiculous. I was on coumadin a while and their procedures were not user friendly, requiring appointments and sticking fingers rather than drawing arm blood with no consistent result reporting. Unfriendly receptionists, two stops for registration (front desk and doctor desk), no pictures on the walls indicating 'warmth' and a dirty Urgent Care round out my view of this place. Upon next office visit after cath Max said I had not had a heart attack and would not provide me the catheter results. I decided to go elsewhere to continue care and the new dr could not obtain records. To date the records have not been provided to any doctor via request of that doctor. I had done my hospital follow up with the hospital cardiologist but he didn't seem concerned with my symptoms so I decided to see another doctor and wound up with Dr. Rattes. Dr. Rattes takes a thorough medical history, listens to your concerns, performs a proper medical exam, and then will send you for testing as he sees necessary. He ends the visit by asking "have I answered all of your questions today". The first test didn't give a conclusive reason for my symptoms, so I am now having some more done. The staff was also friendly with helping me make appointments around my schedule to find child care and there is a portal where you can view your records.

Anytime I've shown up for an appointment I've been seen in under 15 minutes and the appointment usually lasts less than an hour. Most of the negative reviews this clinic has received are from Karens who are: a) anti-vax morons who are too brainwashed and full of themselves b) people who show up 5 minutes before close and expect a full-on unscheduled procedure to be done c) impatient people who think 10-15 minutes is a bad wait time

Here is my experience in detail: I initially visited the dermatology office near the main campus to have several moles removed. The first doctor I saw indicated that the removals would need to be done over multiple visits. During the first session, four moles were removed, but the doctor declined to remove more and referred me to a senior dermatologist--resulting in an additional copay. The senior dermatologist removed additional moles but then referred me to a plastic surgeon for the remaining ones--again introducing another specialist visit and copay. I was told that the plastic surgeon would be able to evaluate and remove the remaining moles in a single visit. However, when I arrived at the plastic surgeon's office in Highlands, I was informed that my appointment was only for a consultation. I explained what I had been told, but the doctor stated that he requires an initial visit to evaluate and take photos before proceeding. This directly contradicted the expectations set by the dermatology department, suggesting a strong lack of coordination within the organization. In my view, the dermatologist could have taken the necessary photos and coordinated with the surgeon in advance, allowing for insurance pre-approval and a more efficient, cost-effective process. Instead, I was told the process would require four visits: two procedures (removing two moles per visit) and two follow-up visits for stitch removal--resulting in approximately $300 in additional copays. I questioned why all procedures could not be completed in one visit, but the response was simply, "That's not how I do things." After photos were taken, I left without scheduling further treatment. The situation worsened when I later received a call from scheduling. When I asked whether the photos had been submitted to insurance, I was told they would not be submitted until another appointment was scheduled. I also learned there was a $250 cancellation fee for appointments canceled with less than seven days' notice. I requested that no appointment be scheduled until insurance coverage and costs were clarified, so I could make an informed decision. At that point, the scheduler became rude, stating, "Clearly you have an issue setting an appointment--you can just call back when you're ready," and then hung up. Based on this experience, it seems that Watson Clinic prioritizes revenue over patient care, communication, and transparency. Unfortunately, this has not been an isolated incident, as I have had similar experiences with other departments, including cardiology. I recommend that others carefully consider alternative providers to avoid similar frustrations.

My mother has an artery blockage of at least 70% at LAD at D1- a blockage at this placement is…read moreknown as "the widow maker" because it can cause a heart attack with no symptoms. The doctor told her of the blockage on 7/12, and said they would place a stent within a week (so, by 7/19). However, they didn't even send the paperwork to her insurance until 7/14. She had to call multiple times to follow up. Finally, on 7/29, she was told the stent will be placed on 8/10, more than 3 weeks after the range she was given initially. She has been experiencing shortness of breath, chest pain, and low blood pressure all the while. I'm appalled at how long it took to schedule her necessary procedure, and that she still has not had it done. He also told her even after she was diagnosed with the blockage that her symptoms (chest pain and shortness of breath) were probably due to anxiety; her main anxiety has been trying to get properly diagnosed and treated. We will be finding a new cardiologist.
