Watson Clinic is an amazing facility. Every staff member from Doctor to Nurse to attendant has been so friendly and accommodating. The MyHealth app makes scheduling appointments and viewing test results Quick and Painless. Anytime I've shown up for an appointment I've been seen in under 15 minutes and the appointment usually lasts less than an hour. Most of the negative reviews this clinic has received are from Karens who are: a) anti-vax morons who are too brainwashed and full of themselves b) people who show up 5 minutes before close and expect a full-on unscheduled procedure to be done c) impatient people who think 10-15 minutes is a bad wait time read more

This review serves as a warning to anyone considering using Watson Clinic--avoid them if possible. In my experience, the organization has poor follow-up, is highly disorganized, lacks coordination between departments, and appears primarily focused on generating revenue. Here is my experience in detail: I initially visited the dermatology office near the main campus to have several moles removed. The first doctor I saw indicated that the removals would need to be done over multiple visits. During the first session, four moles were removed, but the doctor declined to remove more and referred me to a senior dermatologist--resulting in an additional copay. The senior dermatologist removed additional moles but then referred me to a plastic surgeon for the remaining ones--again introducing another specialist visit and copay. I was told that the plastic surgeon would be able to evaluate and remove the remaining moles in a single visit. However, when I arrived at the plastic surgeon's office in Highlands, I was informed that my appointment was only for a consultation. I explained what I had been told, but the doctor stated that he requires an initial visit to evaluate and take photos before proceeding. This directly contradicted the expectations set by the dermatology department, suggesting a strong lack of coordination within the organization. In my view, the dermatologist could have taken the necessary photos and coordinated with the surgeon in advance, allowing for insurance pre-approval and a more efficient, cost-effective process. Instead, I was told the process would require four visits: two procedures (removing two moles per visit) and two follow-up visits for stitch removal--resulting in approximately $300 in additional copays. I questioned why all procedures could not be completed in one visit, but the response was simply, "That's not how I do things." After photos were taken, I left without scheduling further treatment. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The situation worsened when I later received a call from scheduling. When I asked whether the photos had been submitted to insurance, I was told they would not be submitted until another appointment was scheduled.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I also learned there was a $250 cancellation fee for appointments canceled with less than seven days' notice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I requested that no appointment be scheduled until insurance coverage and costs were clarified, so I could make an informed decision. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My experience with Dr. Praynay Patel at Watson Clinic was extremely frustrating and felt like a complete waste of time and money.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I came in for a third opinion after already seeing two ENT specialists. Both had already performed a nasal scope and found nothing related to my issue. I clearly explained this upfront and declined repeating the same procedure with the nurse. Despite that, Dr. Patel came into the room and told me he would not even examine me unless I agreed to another nasal scope. I felt completely pressured into undergoing a procedure I had already had twice, with no medical justification provided for why it needed to be repeated. The scope itself lasted barely 90 seconds and, unsurprisingly, showed nothing related to my concern--just like the previous two exams. Then came the real shock: a bill of over $500 for this unnecessary, extremely brief procedure, with more than $300 out of pocket. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I contacted the clinic to raise concerns about being charged so much for something I explicitly questioned and felt pressured into, the response I got was essentially, "We don't make adjustments." My wife and I have been patients at Watson Clinic for over 20 years and have always received excellent care -- until our recent visit with Dr. Phuc Vo. My wife's primary doctor referred her to him for a tailbone (coccyx) fracture, but this turned out to be the most disappointing and disrespectful experience we've ever had at Watson Clinic. We were made to wait about 45 extra minutes because the doctor was in a meeting. If I could give no stars, I would. Watson clinic is absolutely the worst doctor's office I've ever been to. They rush through their patients appts, they don't care about their patients at all. As a resident of Lakeland--over 40 years--I've watched the decline of Watson Clinic with deep disappointment. Once considered a trusted and respected medical provider in our community, it's now a disorganized mess that offers some of the worst care I've experienced. If you have complex medical needs, be prepared for frustration. The clinic boasts a wide range of specialists, yet they don't communicate with one another. It's like each doctor is operating in their own silo, and patients are left to coordinate their own care. Appointments? Good luck. It's nearly impossible to get in to see a doctor in a timely manner. Good afternoon, Not sure who I can file a complaint with, will likely contact the state after this because this isn't the first instance in the last 5 years that I've been a patient here that this has happened. In June I drove 30 minutes on my lunch break for an appointment only to be told the doctor was an hour behind schedule, due to work I could not sit around for an hour waiting. I rescheduled for 2 months later, called to confirm he was on time before I drove half an hour to the appointment. Confirmed once I arrived (15 minutes before my appointment) the doctor was on time, as I have to take time away from my important job to be here, was told he was on time. It has now been 40 minutes past my appointment time and I am still sitting in the waiting room. Not sure if this facility overbooks their doctors to maximize income or if the doctors do not care about time management. Either way, this is a terrible way to run a business. I have previously asked to be informed if a doctor is running 30 minutes or more past my appointment time and never has anyone ever contacted me before I arrive to the specific location of which doctor I'm seeing to alert me that I will be sitting around for over an hour. I'm sure nothing will change but I will continue to leave reviews and filing complaints where I can as well as looking for different healthcare providers. The only good experience I've had with your business has been with my primary care physicians and your company takes too much of my/my insurance company's money to have this poor of customer service. read more

Generally my appointments within Watson other than Primay doctor have been pleasant, it is only the primary doctor that I have had issues with in the 4 years I have used Watson Clinic. My primary worded the appointment summary as a follow up and was supposed to be my Annual preventative appointment paid in full. Because she made incorrect statements, I am being billed for the appointment. Do not go here! My husband had X-rays on both feet, hips and pelvis and a CT Scan on his chest to monitor lumps. He was diagnosed diabetic and given meds but his A1C continued to go up to 8.5, almost as high as it could go. Two days later they bill me extras that don't make sense. Our visit was very short, no extra treatment was needed, just a prescription. I called the billing department, and I was surprised to find out that they do this to their out of pocket patients, they give a price and then they bill you for extras that were never discussed or performed. Trying to get an appt. with a specific provider for over 5 days. Unacceptable! You get passed around put on hold forever the call back feature does not even work. After doing everything possible to get the appt. including utilizing your portal you make a last ditch attempt at calling the appt. area for the physician. 7/17/2024 My experience at the Watson clinic has been extremely unpleasant and disappointing From the onset Dr. Pham's demeanor has been that of one who would rather do anything other than see me as a patient. .On our first encounter she told me that the labs that had been sent to her prior to my appointment were too old to be useful. I believe that a true professional would have been aware of this matter and let me know before I left work in the middle of the day and drove to the office and paid $50 to be told absolutely nothing that more recent lab work was required for an intelligent conversation . The dates on those labs were the same when they were sent as when I arrived in her office . She sent me off to get another set of labs and tests which I did as the other individuals allowed. Once the labs were completed Imade another appointment with Dr. Pham in early June for 7/16/24 of which she seemed completely unaware of as she contacted me on the first of July to suggest that I make an appointment because my labs are in. If the information that you have is too old why contact me ? I was on vacation and returned to the US to attend the appointment made for 7/16/24 Dr Pham told me that she did not have the information from the radiologist . I Expressed confusion as to why 1. That information was attached to her memo to me requesting that I set up an appointment (though I had already) and 2.the information had also been sent to me on the "MyChart " app How is it that she the physician does not have it.? She fumbled a bit on her computer and "located" it within the next breath she told me that I had to get yet another set of labs. I asked her for a timeline on the labs since this was an issue for her. She had no answer. I asked for a resolution to constantly returning to get bloodwork Her response was that other ppl had to have labs done on a daily basis. When I asked how that related to me again she had no answer. I asked her if there was a condition with my lab results that was not hyperthyroidism Her response was that if a person took extra thyroid and that's why I need to do more labs because it could change. WHAT?? So 6 months and 2 sets of labs and that's what you got?! You cannot find paperwork and you intimate that the lab results are because is I am Taking thyroid hormone? I guess because LOVE dry skin and my hair falling out:-/ I found that Dr Pham was un professional and disorganized. I asked for a timeline for having some sort of resolution to taking labs. Coming to see her, being told they are out of date and going back to do more labs/ testing. I also asked her if there was another way to accomplish what she was attempting because what had been done twice was obviously not working. She became upset and walked out , this ending the appointment again without resolution. I found her behavior unprofessional, disorganized, insulting and a waste of my time and money as well as that of Blue Cross. read more

For years I have tried to get them to update my routine vaccines. Nothing was done and I keep getting reminders that my vaccines are overdue. When I recently provided the information again, a nurse claimed she updated my records based on contacting a practice I never received care from. They are clearly interested in getting adults to take more than the CDC recommended number of vaccines and not record accuracy. They also prescribed high blood pressure medicine when my BP was 117/68 and I had a history of dangerously low pressure. Everything seems focused on making more money and prescribing more drugs. read more

My sister in law is pregnant and went to go see her ob at week 12 (which is at Watson clinic mind you) and they waited til today to tell her she can't be seen there anymore... after calling time and time again and getting the same answer which was we'll have to talk and see. So now she has to find somewhere else at 15 weeks. On top of it she's been seen only once this whole pregnancy because of the fact that Watson clinic can't call or communicate in a timely fashion. Where to begin. I personally feel that Watson Clinic as a whole, is very poorly run and staffed by either inexperienced or low ranking doctors. If it were an isolated case, one could say either a fluke or a rare mistake. This is not the case, though. I had been a patient of my primary care physician for about 15 years. In that time, getting to actually see him was rare, as I usually would end up with his nurse practitioner or an associate. Recently I was complaining of lower back pain and went to the urgent care facility located within the same campus as my regular doctor. The "on duty" nurse practitioner ordered labs to insure I didn't have a kidney problem or other internal ailment. It was later diagnosed as muscle strain. However, a full bloodwork had been performed. That was about 3 months ago. Because I recently changed insurance, and Watson Clinic doesn't accept it, I was forced to find another doctor... actually a good thing or "blessing in disguise" because of what happened next. To get established and get all my ducks in a row, a complete physical and BLOODWORK was performed and I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I am now on meds and taking steps to control the disease, which had I stayed with Watson Clinic, I might never have known I had it until it was too late. As I said if this was an isolated case, you might just let it go, but I know of at least two people personally, that fell victim of poor or inaccurate diagnoses at Watson. One was my roommate who went to the same doctor at Watson Clinic for almost 30 years. Having been a heavy smoker and having a history of cancers, you might THINK his doctor would order chest x-rays as part of the yearly physical, but none were ever done. Because, again a change in insurance, my friend went to another doctor and was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, on the first visit. My friend might still be alive had the Quack at Watson done his job. Another case involved my neighbor's son, who at 25 years old developed cancer. Watson clinic failed to find this for almost two years. Bottom line, I would NEVER set foot in a Watson clinic facility, if I fell I'll in front of the place. read more

Currently see a Dr and either the Dr forgot to mention to the nurse or she forgot to schedule me for a procedure. The nurse blamed me for them not scheduling me. I've been out of work for a month. The nurse has been less than communicative anymore, has delayed getting scripts put in, and not answering basic questions. Had to call three times to get the Call Center to find my referral from my Insurance. The first girl had 0 personality and sounded a bit impatient with my request. I knew the referral had been approved by my Insurance I had the refence number. The referral was there but was not released to be seen after almost two weeks. The phone service is POOR. You never had anyone answer when I tried to cancel an app't 24 hrs before I was supposed to be there. I was on hold for 43 minutes and finally thought to heck with it, I tried. Today I received a call telling me I missed an app't and should call 24 hrs in advance. Spend a bunch of money and upgrade the phone service. What do you have two people trying to take all the calls??? This place is getting be be ridiculous to try to do anything with. This clinic obviously doesn't care about their patients' experiences. My elderly mother call me sobbing because one of their doctors, Dr. Robert Lamport, treated her like garbage during her visit. He was an hour late and laughed at her when she said she vapes, rolled his eyes at her, and told her she didn't know what she was talking about. He then got up and left halfway through the visit. My spouse has been a patient of Watson Clinic for a long time and recently had an Annual Wellness Visit (Medical code G0439), which is paid by Medicare to allow patients to get an annual check -up at no charge. Our Medicare plan paid the agreed amount with no cost to my wife. Two years in a row they find a reason to add a service. Established patient office visit (Medical code 99214), receive money from Medicare, along with a co-pay to us of $15.00. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Last year customer service supplied a silly, irrelevant reason and again this year find another reason.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] One year was they talked about your prescriptions. Every year I get the annual Wellness Visit, the doctor at the medical group I use in Lakeland also discusses my prescriptions and also provides a flu shot, with no additional charges to me. Dr Lamport's office scheduled a procedure at the Watson Clinic Surgery Center for 6:40 AM and had me arrive by 5:40. We were there by 5:20 only to be told that no one from the doctor's office had put me on the schedule. The surgery center staff said there was nothing they could do other than wait for the doctor's office. The doctor's office answering service refused to page anyone. We waited over 3 hours before anyone could do anything. This after having a diabetic patient on liquid diet/fast for 2 days. Ridiculous! Would not recommend either Dr Lamport or the Watson Clinic Surgery Center. Absolutely the worst service ever. Would give zero stars if possible. read more

Hi, we love our docs at Watson. However, I would be very careful of their billing if you are on Hospice. 1st they bill Medicare directly for all visits instead of billing Medicare for the visits that pertain to your condition and your insurance Co for the visits that pertain to services outside of your condition as outlined in Medicare.gov. read more

In all my years of going to doctors, I've never had a doctor who treated me with such disrespect as I was treated like going here !!! The doctor walked in with such an attitude right from the start !!! He walked in, slammed himself down in the chair, crossed his arms and loudly asked why I was here !!! Asked me very personal questions that had nothing to do with my visit !!! Rudely asked me how I supported myself !!! He made me feel like I was worthless !!! He never even asked how I was doing...never looked at the xrays which I had done moments ago. NEVER IN ALL MY LIFE !!! Don't go there !!! read more
