SHAME ON YELP!!!! I have to keep opening a new account or my review of O&M disappears. I will keep creating accounts and doing so until they treat my review fairley. Not sure why Yelp keeps hiding my real review of O&M but I will keep reposting it any time I see it missing when I am not logged in. Shame on Yelp! Michael Loy and O&M Construction are my hero's. First, for those of you who do not read the whole thing let me say this; Michael and O&M saved my butt, did fantastic work and I would hire them again in a hot second. For those who want to understand why I rave about O&M read on... To do justice to what went on here and how Michael bent over backwards for me I need to start just after we accepted an offer on our home. We had set a closing date of July 1st. Everything was proceeding according to plan when during the home inspection (about two weeks before closing) found hail damage. That is when we called Michael. His responsiveness was remarkable. I explained the situation and with the closing right around the corner he rearranged things to be out the next day. He arrived on time and confirmed the hail damage. He explained the claims process to us, and we called our insurance company to file the claim. The adjuster would not budge on his time frame even when we explained what was happening. July 2nd was the soonest he could be out. After much discussion (and Michael's promise to get the roof done within one week of the adjuster visit) we put off closing until July 14th. Painful for all involved but what were we going to do? July 2 roles around and Michael was Johnny on the spot. He handled all the interfacing with the adjuster. Climbed up on the roof and started circling hail damage with chalk. Took pictures. Guided the adjuster to make sure he did not miss any of the damage. That is when I knew I made the correct choice. The whole roof was covered and the garage roof to boot! July 3rd they dropped the roofing materials, shingles and my chin. Holiday weekend and my materials were already in the driveway. Monday July 6th came around and the crew was here bright and early. As was everything in the house, the old roof was not installed correctly. O&M had to add several vents that should have been there in the first place. They laid down tarps and started stripping the roof. By the end of the day I had two new roofs. Adding to the win is the clean manner they left my yard, deck and garage. The next day I see Michael out there. He was going around and getting little scraps I did not even notice. The closing proceeded as it should and the buyers were incredibly happy with the new roof. The old world caring in the work Michael does is apparent in every step of the process. From handling the adjuster to making sure the crew cleaned to his standard. I am so happy I choose O&M construction and highly recommend you do the same. read more

O and M Construction one great company! I was very pleased with the customer service and pricing offered by O and M Construction. I had been shopping for the best pricing for the best roof for several weeks. We had almost signed up with another company that was going to charge over 2x as much as what O and M Construction, but at last minute I decided to check out Angie List for Roofing contractors and came across O and M Construction with exceptional reviews. I called and spoke to Mike about our needs and wants, I was very impressed with his knowledge and the fact that the company was certified . He came out to give me a quote the next day, of all the roofing companies we had out previously, he was the first person that ever went on top of our roof to check out our roof and get true measurements. Needless to say the pricing was very good and we set up to have the roof installed. Mike kept us informed throughout our roofing installation. The team arrived early and worked until dusk, they were very hard working. My roof was completed in a day in half. I am very please with the way my roof looks and very happy that I was able to find O and M Construction. I would definitely recommend them. read more

Had a close friend refer me to these guys and I'm glad they he did. Had a tree fall on my house and put a massive hole in the roof. Called O and M the next day and they were out an hour after I got off the phone to come evaluate the situation. The damage was more than I expected after a close inspection. Trusses were broken, sheeting, gutter, soffit, and a few pieces of siding, and obviously the shingles on the roof. Got a bid 2 hours by phone after they left. The second contractor company said they could come out sometime that day but never even showed up... the other quote from another competitive business was extremely out of budget from what my insurance adjuster told me. I was actually quite offended and felt like they were trying to take advantage of me. The excessive damage was taken care of in only 2 days that night I had rain and not even a leak disputed them being done with the job. Overall I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for honest reliable work. I posted the following review on google, and feel I need post it here too. Mike is such nice person and also very knowledgeable. I had four roofers over for repair estimate. He is one of the two who noticed the cause of the problem right away. He gave me a very reasonable estimate, and told me he might be able to do it in next couple of days. I picked him over others because I knew I could trust him. Oh boy, am I right! He is so trustworthy. He sent one of his roofer over late afternoon next day. The roofer is as nice as Mike is. I guess the nice people normally get together. He did his work thoroughly. Out of courtesy, he also checked the entire roof and touched up a few places. No mess left behind. At end, he explained a few things to me so I won't need to worry. I will definitely hire Mike for future roof and other construction jobs, and refer him to my friends and neighbors without any hesitation. read more

O & M Construction had completely replaced the roof of my garage. I hesitated to replace the coating that was leaking for way too long - I discovered that the roof timbers were covered with mold and fungus, OSB plates were crumbling in my hands. I realized that now I need to replace the roof completely. O & M Construction said that it is possible to treat the timbers with an antiseptic, but the structure is already damaged, rotted and not reliable. I decided to do everything right away to forget about this problem. I wanted to order everything on a turn-key basis. After O & M consultation I asked to think for a couple of days and applied to another companies, the prices were higher, so I chose O & M Construction. I liked the fact that the whole technology was explained to me, it's quite interesting. The work is done for 6 stars, but I can only put 5. Awesome, I am satisfied. read more

O & M employees were repairing my flat roof. I hadn't money for a full replacement at that time, and I asked to restore leakproofness in places of leakage. The crew arrived at the appointed time. They found and examined the problem areas, and they also dismantled the damaged surfaces. O & M used mastic and special bitumen patches. This is a very good technology for quick and cheap repair. I asked if such repairs will hold for a year, the guys answered that the old roof would leak faster in other places. It's been six months already, everything's fine. Now I will deal with my finances and will completely change the roof to a new one. Perhaps the market price has changed, but I compared the costs of the roof renovation in several companies, and O&M had the best price offer. So I will contact you in the spring. Finding a solid contractor is such a pain in the butt! Will they respond to you when you first reach out? Will they even bother sending a competitive quote? Will they respond to you when you text them about a new question? Do you trust that they will show up and do the job right??? These are always my thoughts when I need work around my house done. I'm pleased to report that Mike at o&m construction met and exceeded my expectations on each of the questions above. His crew did a great job installing some walls and electrical work in my basement. Satisfied Customer From start to finish, my experience with O and M construction in Naperville, IL was pleasant. The initial roof inspection, survey, and estimate included a detailed explanation of work to be completed and warranties. Once the contract was signed, was notified for an upcoming installation date. Roof tear down and replacement was all completed in one day, including several areas where plywood sheeting had to be replaced due to prior water damage. The crew did a great job protecting surrounding plants and clean up. Due to shorten days now, the crew also came back the following morning for a final check and clean up with better light. read more

In November of 2016 O&M Construction in Naperville, Mike Loy charged us 3,100 to fix the leaking problems with the roof in the Daycare. This company came four times to repair the issue with no positive results. In June of 2017 they stated that we needed a new roof. Wife Ashley told the owner that they were going to schedule a meeting with us and never did. We hired another roofer and will be issuing us a report of what is needed to repair the roof leaks(No new roof needed since the roof is newer). Currently I hired a lawyer and a letter was cent out with no response from them. Currently we are moving forward to sue them. We just want our refund. read more

We had a small leak in our roof, and after speaking to a few different companies, I learned not many people wanted to take on a smaller job like ours. Mike was prompt with his response when I called. He was able to come out the next day, take a look, and then write up the estimate. We ended up having him complete the work that same day. Had called O&M Construction Inc for a leak I had when the snow melted plus two other companies. I have to say that they where the most honest and reasonable estimate. It ended up being my flashing. They fixed and we had about 6" of rain two weeks ago and not one drip of water. This $300 repair was well worth it. All the other companies wanted to sell me a new roof, not sure why. Mike and his team are amazing! I reached out to O&M construction for a roof estimate for my moms house. He came out and gave us an estimate with 24 hours. Sunday's high wind made more damages to my roof. I called Mike, the owner, for help. Mike himself fixed some wind damages last year for me. The O & M Construction team repaired the facade for me. The house is quite old and the old wooden covering is already quite cracked and twisted. They have the best price, I could find for both material and works. It is for this reason that I decided to collaborate with the guys. The work was done quickly enough and qualitatively. After speaking with Mike and TJ we decided on shingles and flashing that matched current roof would be a better idea.
