While JJ wasn't the lowest, they were the most comprehensive. For example, all of the other quotes quoted the shingles and work, but JJ Construction quoted shingles, tiles, gutters, and all hardware (new fans/vents/gutters). They are highly skilled. They did not rush the project (who wants a roofer who rushes?) and cleaned up every day. Communication was excellent. They installed Class 4 shingles, which lowered my home owners insurance by 20%. Our neighbors' property comes right up to our home, so the team necessarily had to prep gutters and bring ladders through their yard and the neighbors specifically told me the team was great-- helped them with a heavy package that was delivered to their house, and cleaned up their yard without a trace. They were swamped with calls due to the weather, but he had a crew out to our house within a couple hours. They cleared the snow and ice from our roof and diagnosed the problem. The water stopped, thankfully. And they came back 2 days later to do the recommended repairs. Roofing issues and repairs for me are like taking your car to the mechanic. They tell me what the issues are and what it will take to repair, but I have no clue what they are talking about. All I can say is Eli was SUPER patient with all of our questions and concerns. Roofing work is not cheap, not that it should be. It is dangerous work. And I do believe that you get what you pay for.
