I wasn't going to write a review on this company but it's really bothersome! I mean the deception and lies is unbelievable! We resently had hail storms and they came and I entertained them because I don't have any idea what to look for as far as roof issues, so the guy insisted to go up to the roof and inspect and then he came down and showed me pictures, lots of them with red circles telling me those are the damages that hail causes he assured me that my insurance will cover and I have to contact my insurance for inspection which I did, I doubted anything he says since I don't hear anyone in my neighborhood complaining about damages infact none in my neighborhood had any issues, he also told me my neighbor down the road-(he gave me the address)also had damage that they are tending which I found out it is not true and I told this roofing guy that it is not true. So the insurance adjuster came along, the roofing company wants to be here as well so they can point out the issues, I was told that they don't have any doubts that this claim can be denied as I have more damages than the other customers they had that was approved. Adjuster denied all the claims and no hail damage noted. This roofing company still insisted hail damages are visible. So they wanted to come up again and inspect, that's already been inspected 3 times. He wanted to appeal and resubmit additional pictures to my insurance. Before he come up to check the roof I talked to this guy and told him about the denial of the claim and the reason why, when he came down he told me the adjuster is right, no visible damages on my roof????? I mean, where are the red circles they've been showing me earlier?? this is a straight up lies and deception!!! But I am so glad I don't have any damages on my roof but why lie to me straight in my eyes. Oh my God. Talking about trust here. 3 people from this roofing company lied to me and the sad part is their manager came here too and saying the same thing. read more

We had storm damage and they came to inspect the roof - as they did for others in our neighborhood. They worked with our insurance and we filed a claim to receive a new roof. I don't believe we really needed one, but for the price we thought it would be better than waiting until we really needed one. We followed through and they installed a new roof. They slapped it together within a few hours, replaced the gutters, but also did not take out the gutter guards and trashed them. About 4-5 months later we had several strong storms, and wind tore off the flashing (~2 feet of metal is dangling) and peeled back the roof on the corner. We contacted them (seeing it was within a year of labor) and they said they'd come out to repair it. After calling them repeatedly, they finally said they'd take care of it by May 2nd, but have been a no-show and no-contact. Now seeing other reviews of this company scanning homes from "damage" makes me regret replacing the roof with them - our 7-year old roof was in good shape. read more

Two years ago, I spent over $50,000 on a new roof with O'Danny Boy Builders, Inc. I worked directly with Sean P. Flanagan, who was the senior project manager on the job. The contract included a GAF Silver Pledge Warranty, and I was repeatedly assured that this roof would be a significant upgrade over my previous 16-year-old roof that had no leaking issues. While the roof installation itself went relatively smoothly, there were issues, including damage to the interior of my home and torn window screens, which should have been a warning sign. Fast forward two years, and the roof developed a massive leak that caused extensive damage to a substantial portion of my home. I notified O'Danny Boy Builders immediately when the leak first occurred, but it took them four days to come out and assess the problem. After that visit, I never received a follow-up call. When I reached out again and requested to speak with the general manager, I was contacted by Jolanta Witkiew of O'Danny Boy Builders, Inc. Unfortunately, he was rude and condescending about the situation, taking no ownership. He dismissed the issue as a "freak storm" and stated they would not honor the warranty on their work. He also acknowledged that the leak barrier may not have been installed alongside walls and skylights--despite this being required under the GAF Silver Pledge Warranty and included in the original scope of work, which I paid to have installed. In short, this company made grand promises, took my money, performed faulty work, and then refused to stand behind it when a serious failure occurred. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend staying clear of this contractor if you value your home and expect accountability. read more

Minding our own business, no leaks on our roof etc. they Showed up to my house selling a pipe dream. New roof, new siding!! Talked us into submitting an insurance re-claim because "a lot of people in the area has hail damage and submitting claims". They inspected roof and the next time it rained hard my roof was leaking in the area they were in. I called and asked for help/ an explanation and the gentleman said "I will make time today to come look at things and make it right". Ghosts me all day and finally responds a little before 6pm saying he won't be able to make it out. They tried to sell me on a new roof and all they did was mess up the one I have. I have waited to write this as I needed to cool off. The siding job was not done right. Nails through the outside of the siding, they even used screws. Evidently they sub out this job to someone who does not know what they are doing. We had to call and send pictures to get them to re-do the job and stand there to make sure it was done correctly. I will admit they did do it correctly the second time. 2 years later on another part of the roof we got a leak. We called another contractor and was told the first company did not install the flashing around the skylight correctly so water had leaked in and was running down the roof into our wall. It had ruined the frame of the window so we needed a new skylight. We were also informed that the flashing was reused when we paid for new flashing on both skylights. Today we noticed on the opposite side of the roof that they nailed through the shingles instead of under the shingles. We are working to find a fix. The issue with roofs vs room remodels is you cannot see the workmanship unless you get up on the roof. Not easy or safe to do. We went with this company because 2 other neighbors were using them. I do NOT recommend them for any work. They use your insurance to rip you off. You do get a new roof but it will cost you more in the end. read more

Alas, our experience was unpleasant and unfortunate. The younger of the brothers-owners has promised more than the company could deliver. Our roof was done in a pretty sloppy way, and we ended up with arguments and much aggression coming from the younger co-owner. A year later we have discovered large gaps between the roof and the fascia, trying to find why there's water damage to our walls. They have left the gaps so big, we had to scoop out three nests and debris. It costed us $4000 to partially fix the mess the company has left behind. read more

An individual stating he was from Danny Boy Builders came banging on my door last night. I went to the door and asked him what he needed, he showed me a business card and demanded that I open my front door, I told him no. He stated that I had roof damage from August storms in 2020. I have not had one issue with my roof and told him he was mistaken. He again told me to open my front door, I told him no and walked away. This guy was going door to door on my block informing each homeowner that they had significant damage to their roof due to storms in the summer of 2020. The experience we had with these contractors has been beyond disappointing. Their attention to detail with our siding instillation was poor. They do not specialize in this work despite their sales pitch. They started this project in the Fall and to date they have yet to complete the work. One afternoon, a gentleman from O'Danny Boy Builders came to my house to let me know that my roof may have been damaged by a hailstorm, and that he would give me a free roof inspection. I had just bought my house, and was aware of some damage, so I let him go up, and he very politely explained how he can get the previous owners insurance to cover it, they would waive the deductible, and he could get everything replaced. After doing a little leg work, the previous owner's insurance covered a new roof, new siding, new capping and trim for the windows, new gutters, new garage roof, and a few other small things. I was very happy with this, and authorized the work to begin as soon as the insurance check was signed over to the company. Things started off well enough, I would get some communications that different parts would be starting at different times, and then the communication seemed to stop, or I was given very short notice. Still, the workers were very nice about everything, they moved things around, but then they started getting sloppy, and the communication went downhill quite a bit. By the time the check from the insurance company was released, I was not 100% happy with the job, because some things were not done the way I was told they would be taken care of. A while after the job had been 'completed' the owner of the company reached out to me to find out what happened. He said he was very disappointed to hear that I did not have a positive experience, and he wanted to know what he could do to correct any outstanding issues. I explained to him my entire experience, and how I was still very frustrated that work was not complete, and he promised that he would work with me to get everything the way it was supposed to be. A few weeks later, because it was the middle of the season and they had to get a crew ready, a crew arrived to begin work on fixing the rest of what was promised. The company told me in advance that they would be coming, and they also called to make sure everything was getting done. At the end of the day, I am happy, overall, with the job that was done and with my experience. Any company can make a mistake, and things in life happen, but not every company is going to fix it. I have FULL CONFIDENCE that O'Danny Boy Builders will stand behind their work, because even after they were paid in full, they are working with me to ensure that I am happy with the service I received. That really, in my opinion, says a lot about a company and how much you can trust them to keep their word. read more
