My wife had surgery on Friday 7, 2025. I have severe anxiety, PTSD, amongst other things. I wanted to be there and needed that be there. Plus she had to have someone with her. Hospitals are a very traumatic place to me and can be a huge trigger 90% of the time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When it was brought up by my wife to the staff that I couldn't make it due to the severity of my mental health they reassured her multiple times they would make sure I had a room so I didn't have to sit in the lobby around other people which will cause me to have episodes and feel unsafe and anxious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They reassured her. We get there and do they have a room, no. Do they live up to their end of the bargain knowing my history and keep their word. No. I had to self medicate because they stuck me in the lobby with outer people and I couldn't maintain my anxiety if I didn't take those actions. But why am I not surprised. Because it's Oblense! I had a heart attack and they said they couldn't help me...had to wait until the next day to be transported to another hospital (that they arranged) 1.5 hrs away, just to be told they couldn't help me either!!! Came in at 7:30pm on 2nd with chest pain,elevated blood pressure and shortness of breath and I sat in the waiting room for 13 hours. The beds were filled with drunked college students. The Dr and nurses were too busy babysitting them all night to take care of real patients in need. Bleeding,vomiting and heart/breathing patients were walking out still in pain because drunken students were more of a priority. I hope I never need to go there again. read more

My father was in your facility last week, he had a Ct abdomen, EGD, and multiple labs, blood transfusions, etc. Mind you I am two hours away and knowledgeable in the medical field and very concerned about my father's health due to CT scan showed a mass with 20# weight loss (over couple months), anemic needing transfusions. I called multiple times for an update, and received the same comment, "I haven't had time to look at chart" One nurse/Stacy proceeded to tell me that she hadn't looked at chart, that she had passed her meds and got a couple admissions........yada yada yada. Now this wouldn't be an issue if ONE nurse said this but all of your nurses with the exception of one nurse (and I'm so sorry I can't remember her name) gave me the same line "I haven't looked at his chart yet" This is just plain unacceptable. I made sure I called 4-5 hours into a shift to give them plenty of time. One evening I called around 8pm, I asked if I could leave my name and number so that when the nurse had time she could call me with an update, at 1030pm I called back and asked nurse for update-guess what she said......"I haven't looked at his chart yet" Now how do you take care of a patient and never review the chart. Finally on Saturday March 2, they were planning on discharging him, I called the hospital operator and asked for my dad's room, a guy answered and told me he left. I called dad's wife and asked how he was doing at home, she told me "we're still in the hospital, waiting on medication for his IV and then we can go." Then I hear a male voice come in the room and say "Oh I just told someone you left, tell them sorry" IS THERE A NURSE MANAGER OR SUPERVISOR IN THIS HORRIBLE HOSPITAL THAT CAN EDUCATE THEIR NURSES ON ANYTHING???? BY THE WAY, LET ME PLEASE SHARE HOW I RECEIVED A COMPLETE UPDATE: I HELPED MY DAD SIGN UP FOR MY CHART AND HAD THE SURGEON AT SEORMC (hospital in Cambridge Ohio-my home town-where I worked as a RN in E/R, Endo, and Med Surg for over 20 years) DR SARAP READ HIS CHART AND UPDATED ME!!!!! I went to O'bleness with a friend and let me say- AVOID unless you are near death. And even then you are brave. I witnessed nurses touching the floor and then immediately handling patients without washing their hands, 5 nurses attempting an IV (one with a torn glove), and they misdiagnosed my friend with a serious heart condition that turned out to be completely normal. Honestly, it's scary how bad this hospital is. my friend called me in the middle of the night with stomach pain so I drove her over to the hospital. we walk in and I'm basically carrying her. as I sit her down and I check her in she immediately starts throwing up. The person at the desk didn't even look up at her. she's in so much pain she can barely move, she's crying, and throwing up in a bag. this is the second time that day that she already went to this hospital for the same reason. they take us back have her pee in a cup, then they hand her the cup and tell her to go sit back in the waiting room where everyone else is. they literally made her take the cup she just Peed in and just sit on the floor in the waiting room with her. as she is still throwing up in the middle of the waiting room with only two other people there, we sat for two hours. we eventually went into the back where no nurses ever introduce themselves or explained what was happening when they would give her an IV or medicine. after no scans, no physical assessments, and hardly any questions, they sent her home saying it's gas pain. she later went to a different hospital where they said that she had some type of bacteria from unclean water she drank. please don't go here. read more

This is our LAST time to Oh bleed us. This is the only hospital in the immediate area, and might as well close. My wife had heart attack, and was treated with disrespect and condescension by the "fine folks" that transported her to Riverside. I won't waste my time or theirs ever again. In an emergency, take your chances and go to Columbus. In the long run, you'll be better off. It makes me question the viability of keeping this hospital open if they do not have the capability of treating something significant. They are a glorified triage unit, that's it. read more

My visit to O'bleness Hospital has been one of the worst experiences with medical professionals I have ever encountered. Having rushed to the emergency room November 4th, 2018 this hospital gave me a CT scan to determine the cause of my pain. The operators of this CT scan apparently work and bill SEPARATELY than the hospital itself, for the past 6 months they have tried to charge me over $2000 dollars having resolved this with my Insurance company they now as of today have yet again sent me a bill, this time for $246 for a READING FEE of this CT scan. Leaving me messages telling me I will be sent to a collections agency we called them and their system then told me I owe $0.00. I have received constant phone calls each time a new representative has failed to review the notes the previous rep has left. Constantly having to reaffirm to this hospital that they have failed to understand their own billing system effectively. if you have the option of saving your self months of headaches i would recommend you drive to Columbus to visit a real establishment not the shady dealings of this C list hospital. read more
