Out in the middle of nowhere at an intersection outside of Owensboro...in this old looking building, you have a this surprisingly remodeled state of the art sports bar! O'Bryan's looks like an old general store but a brand new 2022 sports bar with TVs on every wall. You must be 21 to enter. I tried O'Bryan's because of burger week in Owensboro and I believe they were winners of 2021. Sadly not of 2022 but they would have received my vote. Their burger entry was the Maker's Melt. This burger was on buttered Texas toast with pepper jack cheese, bacon, and fried onion strings. What I loved most though was the bourbon flavored BBQ sauce that really sent this burger over the top. My fries were the perfect accompaniment to my burger and my sweet tea was refreshingly sweet! I want to come back and catch some games and explore more of the menu. read more

Sat for 30+ minutes and not a single waitress/owner/bartender who even looked in our direction. Not a single word was spoken to us, we just kept getting run past. I hear lots of good things about this place and I understand COVID staffing, and this place was SUPER packed, but the staffing was just terrible. You can't expect 3 staff to take care of 80+ customers. We even went to the bar to try to order a drink and the bartender walked away then to start taking other orders, which seemed pretty rude. Update: went back today and it wasn't busy at all really. There were a few tables, but about half capacity. We waited for a few minutes and someone came to get our drink order, so we were already off to a good start. We waited a bit for our food but it was pretty good. The catfish was a big and tasted fresh. The service after we got our food was nonexistent and we again had to try and call someone down to get refills. The waitresses/bartender actively avoid eye contact and sprint past your table to avoid getting any questions/requests. It's pretty pathetic actually to have that few people there and seem to be sufficiently staffed just to watch them ignore you. The food was good, but I could get better service at McDonalds. 3 stars is generous for the encounters I've had. read more

It's easy to miss the restaurant unless you are looking for it. We passed it up many times before even noticing it was there. The food was TERRIFIC! We ordered the smothered sidewinders for the appetizer which tasted really good. Tons of cheese and bacon. My son ordered the all you can eat spaghetti and garlic toast which he said was the best locally that he had ever eaten. (he loves spaghetti and has tried it probably everywhere) My husband and daughter-in-law both had the Double Bacon Mozzarella Cheese Stick burger and thought it was fantastic. I had a classic burger which was cooked to perfection. Fries and tots were good, hot and crispy. Waitress was friendly, kept our drinks filled and was Nice. We will definitely frequent this place since it was tasty and pretty close to home! read more

It's been a long while since I visited this bar. They've added an outdoor seating area which is heated in the winter. The staff are extremely nice and knowledgeable regarding their menu items. I had the chicken bacon wrap which was really good. My friend had a chef salad which was absolutely huge. On Thursday nights, they serve spaghetti which I sampled and found to be very delicious. I recommend this place if your looking for good food with a casual atmosphere. read more

Another reviewer described this place perfectly when saying it looks shady on the outside. I didn't even know this place existed until my boyfriend & I went for lunch one day with another couple. Don't be deceived by the exterior though, the inside was really nice, our waitress was very friendly and attentive, & I have to say, this place has some delicious burgers. I just got a plain cheeseburger but my boyfriend had the bacon egg cheeseburger and it looked amazing! I will definitely be back again to try that burger, among their many other options. They have quite a selection of different dishes on their many, all at very good prices. My boyfriend & I paid less than $20 for both of our meals! You can't beat their prices! HOLY COW. Just go in, it looks shady on the outside, but it is a nice sports bar type atmosphere on the inside. I have been to Whitaker guns numerous times and looked right past this place every time because of how rough in shape the outside was. BUT it was awesome food, super clean/nice inside and cheap. My buddy and i had 2 plate lunches, they were heaping with food perfectly seasoned. we gad 2 plate lunches and 5 beers for $21. we both agree this place is now a permanent stop every time we travel to Whitakers guns. the folks at Whitakers said they just bought the place. this is the longest review i have ever written, but it was worth it! read more

Traveled through the area yesterday (9/29/17) at lunchtime and was pleasantly surprised how good the fish tacos were (Lent Menu, i.e. Friday). 3 good size tacos with delicious sauce. I had the blackened tiliapia fish tacos but they also offer fried fish tacos. I believe they have a whole taco menu for Tuesdays. The beer was super cold too, which I appreciate because beer is not good unless it is really cold. They also had frog leg special that my husband ordered (we share our dishes) but the breading was too salty so we picked that off and just ate the meat. It does look to be a dive bar from the outside but the bar and restaurant area were very nice and clean. read more

We are not from here, so this is the only time I will eat here regardless of my of my review. I came in and finally had to go to the bar and ask if they had table service. The waitress said yes shortly,when she finally arrived she didn't even bring menus. The soda one of my party ask for showed up flat. She asked it to be replaced by water, it never came. Finally when all of our drinks were empty we walked to the bar to get refills. Never got another waitress or refill, which is a shame because the food is pretty good.
