They removed the nest, replaced a coupler in the OTHER fireplace and charged $150!!! These guys are either unskilled or just want to gouge us!! $1000!!!! On Oct 29, 2025 Caveman Heating and Air Conditioning in Grants Pass installed a new heat and air…read moreconditioning system in my home in Brookings. Early Sunday morning on Dec 21st we lost all heating and the Air Handler Blower would not shut down without throwing the electrical breaker. I called the service number at 6:30am and a technician Ryan contacted me in short order. He trouble shot the system with me on the phone and it was indicating an electronic problem in the Air Handler that also was effecting the AUX Heating system. I informed Ryan that we were using our oil filled floor heaters for heat and that we could wait until Caveman could travel from Grants Pass to Brookings. On Monday morning Amber called and we decided together that a Technician David would be in Brookings by 9:00am Tuesday. Tuesday David arrived at my home at 8:15am and was able to determine there was a bad electronic part in the Air Handler. This part was not a common problem and was not stocked on his repair van. David contacted his office and made arrangements for them to meet him half way between Grants Pass and Brookings with a electronic part replacement. David returned with the part, installed the part and had the heating system functioning again. With everything button up and cleaned up, David left on another service call by 1:30pm. Living in Brookings, I had had some concerns about the service to be provided by Caveman Heating and Air Conditioning. A company with customer oriented employees as Ryan, Amber, David and the office staff working to resolve my heating problem has really relieved my concerns with servicing. Good Job and Thank You !!!! He figured it out right away and took the main fan and a motor with him. That evening they called and said he had been working on it and would bring it back the next day. Brad was here this morning. He installed it and tested it, wasn't satisfied and kept working on it until he found out what was wrong. He fixed it. It's working beautifully. Instead of having to pay $10,000 for a replacement it was $600. Very nic, prompt, knowledgeable and professional. I recommend them to all.

They finished yesterday the 19 except the seat had not come in. They told me when it comes in they will come back and install the seat. My new shower is so beautiful. Jake and Jesse did a wonderful job. They cleaned up when the install was complete. All I had to do was put my towels on the towel bar and the rug on the floor. Contracted 8/31/16 for a front deck/porch rail and resand/restain job that this man…read more proctrastinated on starting before rains began in mid-October. He promised me he would have it completed by September 23rd, while I was out of town; yet, when I returned, the project had not been completed as promised and I was given some excuse about a heat wave that occurred on September 24th. His people eventually messed up the stain a week or so later. Next Shane told me he'd ordered a gel stain product I recommended via a Google search to find out how to fix that mess he'd made, but none of his employees knows where it is when they have come recently to try & complete the project. The Gel Stain had a requirement of 60 degrees or higher, which there have been numerous times he could have sent crews on weekends throughout this entire 10 1/2 months! He has not returned my texts or phone call messages today, which is typical that I have to chase him down to ask when we can reschedule. Then on rescheduled dates, if weather was slightly foggy in the morning, he canceled a couple times. Today was an absolute due date to his employee, Dave, who came out 2 weeks ago today to fix the sanding divots that were done also by Shane's employees. So, he's send 3 different crews to properly sand this deck in preparation for staining (after fixing all 7 of the bottom rails around the porch's decking; and breaking one of the pickets in the process, which he never replaced, so I have a gaping hole now out there, as well. I have kept track of all the weather and cancellations (I also cancelled once when high winds were expected a few weeks ago). This company has deprived me of the use and enjoyment of my front porch far too long. Oh, and he threatened to sue me for talking about this... Update: Allied finally finished the job in July 2017, a full year almost after contracting for that 3 day job. Just horrible ...
