I ordered 1/2 a dozen cupcakes, and a strawberry lemonade. The cupcakes were priced reasonably at just $2.50 each with a deal for buying a dozen or 1/2 dozen. And I'm happy I decided to stop by, first off the service was great, the sales lady was kind, attentive, and great at answering questions. As for the taste of the strawberry lemonade it was good, cold and refreshing but, it was much too sweet for me, so I handed it off to my boyfriend who didn't mind the sweetness and actually enjoyed it. The cupcake flavours I ordered were the blueberry lemon(with fresh blueberries in cake), vanilla with sprinkles, and strawberry cupcakes(with strawberry pieces in cake). The cupcakes were delicious some of the best I've ever had!! The buttercream frosting was thick flavourful, and just enough was on the cupcakes to perfectly complement the moist and not too sweet cake portion of the cupcake. Needless to say this is definitely my new go to spot for cupcakes in Waterloo, and I will be back to try some other baked goods too, such as a scone or muffin next time, as they looked great too.

I emailed The Cake Box the day before his birthday and they were extremely helpful and accommodating. We are from Toronto where there are tons of gluten free options, but nothing comes close to the Cake Box products. The desserts were delicious (I can't believe the icing is dairy free), not crumbly (a common problem with gluten free cakes) and simply gorgeous.
