Attorney's James Chadwick Hi Ron's office contacted me via email referencing a Power of Attorney…read morethat was in place to attempt to get me to sign a quitclaim deed that would take my mother's property out from under her. I received an email referencing the POA with a demand that I sign the quitclaim deed. Despite the fact that he knew there was a Power of Attorney in place, Hinton found a way to directly contact my mother, who is now in a retirement village after a severe stroke that left her unconscious for hours and subsequently unable to make legal decisions. He had her sign the quitclaim deed, effectively stealing her property. After I discovered the malfeasance, Hinton lied and claimed that he did. Or know about the POA, despite the fact that his office contacted me first about said POA, and then refused all attempts at contact. I submitted a grievance with the NC Bar association, whoever they refuse to cite him for his unethical conduct. As a result, I am now going public with his conduct as I doubt this is a one time incident.
