So, I went to my friendly neighborhood O'reilly's on Arapahoe St. and Peter looked over the situation and says "I can do this." He had to work out in the parking lot with a cold September wind blowing and dismantled a large section of the battery box and front end trim. In ten minutes he had the old battery out and in 5 minutes had the new battery in. (Be advised, I had already been told by two other auto parts stores that it couldn't be done and I should take it to the dealership.) Well done, Peter at O'reilly's on Arapahoe St. Lincoln, Nebraska. They originally told her the alternator was bad. She took it to the dealer who diagnosed it with a bad battery. Even with the dealer diagnosis, they refused to warranty the battery. In the end, my mother had to buy a new battery at the dealer. That fixed the problem, been running well this last month. Unfortunately, I won't be sending anybody back to this location as I feel they scammed my mother.

I called these guys and they gave me a couple of options with prices over the phone after they got my make and model. They quoted me $150 for the battery and didn't charge me anything extra for labor to install the battery. I pulled up to the front of the building and it took them less than 10 minutes to replace my battery. They were very friendly as well and gave me a dog treat for my dog on the way out.
