My son loved his week camp here and they didn't just do climbing they had lots of other fun activities my son told me about like board games, physical games, movie time, water day, even some yoga in there. My son thoroughly enjoyed it with a couple of his friends. They gave me two 50% tickets so my older son got to try it too. The staff is welcoming and I know my sons will be asking when will we go next time!

Before I write this review, I want to put this in perspective, my son was at this academy for two…read moreyears. He was on the top team of 2013 group what they called PRE-MLS-1. My review is therefore very comprehensive and fair which can be a good references for families want to join this academy. Ideasports academy is a stranged academy. Good aspect: Ideasports SA contracted with Disney to rent their facility. This facility is amazing and well taken care of. Soccer level for the top teams is fairly competitive in Florida areas. The number of Coach for the top teams (Pre-MLS) is acceptable. Bad aspect: The communication and management: is extremely terrible. The contract is costly and not clear, the league and tournament fees are not dependent on number of players in the team. Disney filed very strict contract in which you are responsible for many terms. Once you signed the contract, they locked you up. They do not release your kids to play for other teams if you do not pay up front full year tuition fee specifically with the leagues managed by Gotsport system. You must be very careful when you decided to sign the contract with them. Do not believe in the tryout as the actual team may be different from the ones your kids tried it out. In particular, you must be careful when your kids younger than 12 years old, in particular at 11 year old. The reason is from the fact that only one top team called pre-MLS-1 can participate in Florida Academy League which is the top and well organized league in Florida for this age. Team 2 in the pre-MLS program do not have a similar competitive level league. Many parents were disappointed and felt unfair for their kids with this management style. Miserably, they do not communicate with parents who are paying the service for their kids. Your kids maybe happy if you are in the top team or favored by the Coach. Coaches are favoring the kids who were staying there long, probably when this academy was established. It can be understandable as these families help academy to run the business. However, when soccer level and discipline are not the most important criteria for defining the team that may heart your feeling about the unfairness. Also, many parents sending the kids to soccer with the hope they can learn more than soccer (discipline, friendship, health, adaptation, etc.), you may not be happy with what you see in the practice everyday. Personally attack kid: I took my son out of this academy due to multiple times of attacking my kid every time I expressed my concern or suggestion to make this academy better. This is nonacceptable in particular in US. Lastly, the tuition fee is different case by case. Some kids (like us) pay double than other kids even in the same program. Therefore, you should be careful to negotiate to reduce cost before signing the contract. I will continue updating... Overall, this academy is not for every family. This is very strange and biased academy. Also, no guarantee that your kids will become professional or college players after the training courses. Trust is the most important and standard for the kid development. But you will not find the trust at this academy. We actually started her volleyball journey at OTVA when she was first learning the game. When the club moved locations, we transitioned to OVA, which is a solid club with directors we truly liked. As she continued to grow and wanted to be pushed more, she then spent two years at Gamepoint. While there were positives, we eventually realized it just wasn't the right fit for her long-term development. Coming back to OTVA has been one of the best decisions we've made. We couldn't be happier with our experience. The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and truly invested in the athletes. They do an excellent job balancing strong fundamentals, competitiveness, and fun, which isn't easy to find. Everyone--from coaches to staff to families--has been welcoming and genuinely kind. OTVA also does a great job supporting players who want to play at the next level, offering guidance and help throughout the recruitment process without losing sight of the importance of loving the game. This review is only about the tryouts that they have for their club travel teams. They do have…read moresome really good coaches and staff. This review is based on our experience when trying out for a travel team at OTVA Longwood. If you think that your child will have a good chance of making a travel team at the OTVA Longwood tryouts, think again. Almost all of the girls who make these teams, have moved up from the year before to the same team. For example, their Select age 13 team, the next year will be the Select age 14 team. There are very few spots open for girls trying out. Your child will not be evaluated at tryouts. The coaches already know who is making these teams prior to tryouts starting. The kids who are returning from the previous year, and who will be making these teams, will be seperated from the other kids trying out. The coaches will be watching the returning kids and ignoring the other ones who are trying out. I have known a lot of talented girls who made travel teams at other clubs, but were ignored and cut from this one. Tryouts are a very good "payday" for this club and will be a very sad experience for many girls. OTVA Longwood only has 4 courts, so they are very limited to the number of teams they can have. There are other really good clubs out there, that offer travel teams, where your daughter will actually get a fair evaluation, and not ignored and cut!

If you're looking to try something new, this may be just the place!…read more My friend and I try to get together once a month to do something adventurous. This month we ended up at Central Florida archery. We signed up for a 2 person novice lesson. When we got there, they had the equipment ready for us. Our instructor was Mike, and he was great! Mike walked us through how to decide which I is dominant, how to hold a bow, how to shoot, how to aim, and everything we need to get started. Then we got to shooting! The lesson was one hour long. Mike was so good, we both got bullseyes before time was up! We're already talking about planning another day to come out and do this again. It was such a fun experience. They offer lessons from one person up to a group of people. They also allow you to bring your own gear or rent their gear to just come and shoot without doing a lesson. One thing to note: The address will take you to a red gate, which is closed. You have to open the gate to get in (it's just latched) and close it behind yourself before driving down the sandy road to the parking lot.
