This is the largest prison in the whole state of Hawaii, it holds a capacity of 180 pretrial detainees and sentenced felons. It is a great place to work, if are cut out for it. Visiting hours for the incarcerated is not good due to shortage of staff, best to schedule during work week, and not weekends. read more

So, I've been trying to schedule a visit and you're supposed to call this hotline to get a time and date for your visit. I've been calling this number for 2 months. It's either a busy signal or recording and you don't have the option to leave a message. But, yesterday I finally got through. I was able to schedule my visit for the next day (today) at 11:30 am. The ACO on the phone verified my phone number and said if the visits get cancelled someone will call me to notify me. Visit day: I arrive at OCCC at 11:00am & check in with the ACO at the desk. At that time, he apologizes & informs me there are no visits today. He also told me that they haven't had Saturday visits for quite sometime. He also said it would be wise to call the day of my scheduled appointment to check if there will be visits that day. So, I was not happy with the wasted time, energy & unprofessionalism. read more

Oahu Community Correctional is a place where people who do bad things are locked up at. Visiting people is relatively simple though you need to be placed on the visitation list by the person you're visiting. This requires them knowing your personal information so they can fill out a form that gives permission for you to visit. The staff here are relatively friendly and I find them to be very helpful. They try their best even though things may not be perfect with their procedures or technology. Parking is slightly more than needed which is awesome. There's always an open stall although you have to walk a bit sometimes. Still, it's okay because exercise is good for you! read more

Stayed here last fall for a weekend retreat. Should have checked reviews instead of word of mouth by others. Beds were not at all comfy as they were very hard. Tried to get housekeeping to send up more pillows but was told they were short at the time. Free continental breakfast is included with your stay, tho i have no idea why it is served at 3am. Food must have been good as one other guest was ready to engage in fisticuffs in order to have my food. As i was getting ready to leave the resort i was told the bellhop lost my items and i would need to retrieve it on another day. All in all the stay went by quick but not as relaxing as i envisioned. Most likely won't be coming back to stay unless forced to go. read more

I been to many prisons but I have to say this one stands out! Very wide beds, always good weather when I got to go outside, and they had local food in the cafeteria where at mainland prisons it's usually just chicken. As of October 10th 2016, Oahu Community Correctional Center will no longer have any contact visits. Visits will be through a partition in the visitors area. Visits will be conducted Monday through Friday instead of the weekend visits. Visitors must make an appointment to visit, which was not needed on the previous weekend visits that occurred on Saturday and Sunday. ACOs are fairly nice. Most of them are generally friendly. If I had ever been there maybe several times....I would say I never had a problem as soon as you realize it's jail and you don't have enough money for bail you have to stay yeah the food is little and sometimes sucky but they have a nutritional guide to help prepare meals that's why people go in all fat and sloppy and by the time you beat your case , since you are innocent right the police just don't pick people up randomly , anyway I think jail shouldn't be like in Mexico ,so as they say lucky you live hawaii....lol Man up and no cry. read more

Stayed here on vacation for 5 days..let's just say for the price that I paid I should have stayed at a 5 star resort instead. Location is alright, property is a nice size. Their Rec area is only open for one hour a day which kinda sucked. The food is bland..customer service was horrible..oh and they don't even have room/maid service which sucks for the cost of the stay. The beds are very uncomfortable and mattress has rips in it and are flat. I don't recommend staying here but at least I had a penthouse unit in Annex2. Overall.. $4500 for 5 days? I think I'll stay at Aulani next time. read more

yelp 365challenge #53/365 so for my internship... i found myself in the visitor area of module 3... interesting. ACO's were nice. security was nice. their landscaping was actually really nice... and lunch smelled good. i wouldn't suggest ending up here... therefore, the one star... but i had to comment on my visit here. read more

If I could give this jail 10 stars I would. Best jail I've ever been to. Clean sheets,warm food, friendly guards, And a nice window view. Had to punch a guard to stay longer. That is just how much I love it. read more
