I have to say I was very pleased that the attention the staff made to making sure breakfast food was hot plentiful and available.I always tip the breakfast person and housekeeping, It's an old school way of thinking and I hope you will consider adopting it. The bathroom in our unit had a cracked sink and drained slow. I appreciate having four pillows on a bed. The beds were made up nicely. The mini fridge worked properly and I really appreciate having a freezer that could freeze water bottles. Our check in person was fabulous. She was friendly, accommodating and made sure that we knew she would take care of our needs. The morning breakfast person was not as accommodating. It would be nice if he was friendly and smiled.

The manor is decorated for Christmas throughout and made it even more spectacular! The history of the manor is interesting and primarily featured Hazel Buck Ewing's life. She was an equestrian and the stables were part of the tour. In each room a docent shared interesting factoids and historical facts about the manor. The cutting edge technology for the time period was also promoted, such as the concrete beams made to look like wood, and the "automatic" horse watering troughs. The manor was actually lived in until 1969, but was decorated for the holidays in 1930's style. The tour is a one night event and could easily become a holiday tradition.
