Everyone he talked to was so sweet and genuinely excited for him. The boat and the lake were so lovely and we got the most stunning photos with the sunset. We really appreciate everything Lone Star Marina did to make sure everything went smoothly and their customer service was amazing. The boat looked clean and so nice in every photo and we couldn't be happier with our experience with them and with their boat! The…read morepark attendant was helpful in telling us about the facility (boat launch, beach, camping facilities etc. we arrived around 8pm to check the boat out after doing some maintenance but still wanted to go on the lake for a couple of hours. with all the recent flooding they will have to repair the courtesy dock but fortunately the beach is not rocky so you can beach your boat there until the dock is finished. We did not go to the fishing pier but want to check it out soon. I did talk to a lady on the phone there and she was helpful in telling us the amenities.

The site view was absolutely stunning. we had a really good time. The next morning as we are preparing to leave, we couldn't find the sewer dump, as our site did not have one so we went to the office and she showed us where it was. that was an experience in itself the sillies were closed, I was surprised there was no showers nothing. One little toilet next to the dump, and he was trying to dump the sewer , the water was off, and he had to go behind someone's RV to turn the water on as it is hooked up to that water Spicket. that was kind of a nightmare but the rest of it was OK and we had a pleasant time. Texas can have that heat and humidity. ugggh. Nasty hot!

I am not sure when they started because I don't remember them being out there last year, but they have jet ski rentals. The rates are much cheaper compared to most other places in the dallas/Ftw area. I believe the place is called BNB Jet Ski Rental - a fairly small set up. The guy we dealt with knew all about the skis (we were first timers) Gave us a few pointers and tips. he was a cool enough dude - took good care of us,The skis ran great, they aren't the old crappy ones some people are renting out, they are pretty new skis. We rented one for the whole day. Our group had a great time!! We even made reservations to again in a few weeks. I don't know what Joseph D (the guy with a "bad" review of this place), was talking about - sometimes people have things to do. The rental place isn't very big, so I am sure they don't have very many employess like most business do. Advice to Joseph D - pick up the phone before you go somewhere next time!!

FINALLY Zach and I made it out onto Lake Belton! We tried last year and Frank's was doing some…read moremaintenance on the bobcats and then we just didn't get around to it. So we showed up today a casual 10 minutes late. I'm always stressed about being late and they were very cool with it which immediately relaxed me. I think the marina itself could use more signage as we didn't see where to go to check in and had to be directed by someone else on the dock. We find our way, one of the employees said she was going to check that our bobcat was working (really appreciate that, always want to know it works) and we checked in inside. Without prompting, they recommend some cool areas of the lake to check out. This was excellent and I loved it. Zach was driving, so I was thriving, and they had wine on sale for 20% off, so they twisted my arm and I ended up with some delicious, cheap, plastic, single-serving bottles of wine. They were very patient with my nerves as we got loaded onto the boat and I tried not to lose all of my items. I really misinterpreted the size of the boat and, as I always do, overpacked. We did not need towels, we did not really need ... anything .... except maybe the wine. They gave us a great overview of how to steer the bobcat, cuz it was a little different than what we are used to with big boy boats, and we were off! We had a great time, we made it back alive, we signed a paper saying we were alive and had returned their bobcat, and they surprised us by saying bobcat rentals no longer have to pay for gas. We did not argue and hippity hopped it out of there. They made it so easy, the price is reasonable, they seem to have pretty open availability, and you can rent by the 1/2 hour. I can see us having a date night where we grab some dinner at Deadfish and then take a bobcat out for an hour to watch the sunset from the lake. This is my life now? No complaints.
