Used resort as base camp while visited tourist attractions in May. Sites were very small and not easy for big rigs to pull into. Our site had just enough room for the table between campers and was located right by the playground. Only advantage was location between Ark and Museum. read more

This isn't a campground...it's a run-down trailer park. The only sites for mobile campers is up front and surrounded by ratty lots full of trailers with junk all around d them. No attention to lawn detail...overgrown and needs to be trimmed. But that's not the worst...there were two pre-teen boys playing around the playground...and around our lot. Right after dark, a pre-teen boy came up to our camper, slammed our entry assist handle and locked it over...locking us in the camper. Fortunately, my wife was in the bath-house. It scared my young daughters. They later came again, knocking on the side of the camper and taunting us. There were no other kids around...I then saw them go into the manager's house.... It was dirty, unsafe, and a pleasure to leave...just gross. read more

We rented the Oak Creek Cabin through Air BNB. Very nice little cabin. This RV park is centrally located between the Creation museum and the Ark Encounter. It is also very close and easy access to the interstate. read more

I read the earlier reviews after I made the reservation and was concerned- no worries! If the man is the same as in the review- he was just matter of fact and not very engaging- but was nice but businesslike. No paper with rules or other and brand new playground. Sewer hookup was different- we would have had to hold the hose. Wish I had taken a pic- it was narrow and not accessible. We didn't use the pool- pull through was easy- only a couple of permanent residents that seemed decent enough! The four was because of the weird sewer hook-up- but we did pour some dishwater down it. We booked a one night stay in the end of August 2021 for October 22, 2021. When we showed up after office was closed a gentleman met us and stated they had no space available. The park was very dark and roads were poorly maintained. Trying to turn around in a 37 ft Class A was very difficult since you could not see. I left my name and number with the gentleman that met us and made several attempts to reach the park office in order to get a refund and was never able to do so. I would never recommend this park to anyone and I can not believe it is listed as a Good Sam Park. read more

Campground was well kept and beautiful, bathrooms were clean as well as laundry room. We have a 40 ft motorhome a lil tight but manageable. We have a treasure lake membership so I've seen some nice places This place is nice and cozy. I would come again. We found this Park on Good Sam App. Apparently, they haven't updated their info. GS showed 50-55 and 9s across the board for ratings. We paid $154 for our 2 nights and it was a dump. Mostly, long terms which looked like a homeless camp. We didn't check out the pool or facilities. Grass around our site was extremely overgrown. STAY AWAY! read more

Let me begin with some facts rather than opinions. Most of this campsite is full of "long term campers". Those long term campers were sleeping in cars, old tents that were falling apart, and RVs that had not moved for so long they had moss growing on them. There were stray cats and dogs wandering around. People were everywhere. The sites were very close to each other. Now for opinions: I've traveled all over America and all over the world, and have been camping across America for all of October. Ive stayed in lots of different campsites - tent, rustic, RV, cabins - I even stayed at a free campground outside an airport in Kansas. The Oak Creek campground was the first site (in my 50 years on the earth) I left because I felt unsafe. I cannot claim to know the status of the residents of this campsite, but from the look of things, "transitional" would be a kind term. I am grateful there is a place for low income and/or homeless people to reside, but when your entire location is full (except two open spots) of long term campers it kind of ceases to be a campground. read more

I stayed at oak creek campground for one month September 26 to oct 23. It is poorly maintained, there is no sewage hookup, and most lots are filled with monthly renters. It is more like a mobile home park. On Oct 9th at 9:51am the usps delivered a package for me with a tracking number. The owner told me the package was not delivered. So either the mail carrier stole the package and claimed to deliver it or the owners were negligent and it was list or stolen from the office. I have a co worker That was also staying there and a 9mm gun was stolen from his truck. I would definitely not recommend oak creek campground to Travelers. read more

I would not recommend this campground. This is mostly a run-down trailer park with some interesting residents. As a person of color, I especially felt unsafe during the day and at night. I am aware that there has been a change of ownership but until the renovations happen I would never recommend anyone to stay at this campground. read more

When a Good Sam park that is rated 9/9*/9 one would expect it to be! This Campground leaves a LOT to be desired! NO SEWER HOOK UPS AT PULL THROUGHS! Not pet friendly, two big dogs in children's play ground OFF LEASH! A lot of permanent campers, one that has a vehicle with no engine and when the toilet paper rolls are secured with PADLOCKS that should be enough to give one a warning! Skip this one. Bunch of stray cats roaming around. Says animal friendly, but I don't think you can be animal friendly if you don't properly control the animals you have on your property. And porta potties as stand in facilities. Yikes. read more

Wow; the previous reviews don't describe the campground I stayed in. The sites are shoehorned together with little to no room to park your tow/towed vehicle. None of the sites are paved. They're all pea-graveled and sorely in need of major maintenance. I stayed after several days of rain and the site I was placed in was mostly a mushy, unleveled mud hole. I asked if I could move to another site but non were available. I stayed because I had no other options over the 4th of July weekend. If I ever return to the area, a much better option is the Big Bone Lick State Park about nine miles away. No comparison. read more

Nice campground. They have a pool, which, unfortunately, we did not get to use (not Oak Creek's fault), so I can't tell you much about it. There is a nice little playground, which our 8- and 2-year- old adored. Bathrooms are nice and clean - 3 stalls and 3 showers in the women's. Everyone was very friendly. Our only problem with this campground - which is probably only a real problem for those tent camping, like we were - is the noise from Hwy.75! Nothing they can help, but, if you're in an RV, it probably isn't a big deal. read more

Oak Creek Campground is close to the highway and yet secluded by trees. The manager was very helpful checking me in, giving me plenty of useful tips. Shower and bathroom facility is good and there is plenty of shopping close by with an RV dealer and Kroger shopping center. I had some trouble getting connected on the free WiFi on Sat night. The atmoshpere at night here is enchanting with the buzz of crickets and the beautiful forrest setting in the moonlight. read more

I loved this campground. We originally had planned a trip to NY but due to Covid Restrictions we rerouted and decided on KY. I read all the reviews prior to going and honestly, I was a little nervous about going, but upon arrival I will give this a 5 star. The reason being is the work ethics of the staff on this campsite. I have never seen people work so hard to upkeep the property, emptying garbage, cutting grass, you name it, they did it. Also they were very nice. Yes, the sites are small and yes, they really don't have room for your truck once you arrive. but, in their defense, they are an older campground. Back in the day when people used tents and didn't have big RVs. My cousin owns a campground in Ct and has for decades and camping has changed. He told me it is almost impossible to fit some of the big rigs that come into his site. The grandkids loved the river, spent hours playing and enjoyed the clay. The pool was very clean. The bathroom, which I did not use, but my grandchildren and sons did were old but they did try to keep them clean. I don't know if I could blame the mess on the owners as actually I think it was some lazy campers that felt they needed a maid. I just refuse to complain when I know they did the best they could Yes, we did miss septic hook up but they did pump every other day for free, minus weekends. In just for a night, but as 7th year full-timers and full time volunteers for the National Park Service, we really get around, and have experienced many campgrounds from coast to coast. Oak Creek is one of the few we will NEVER return to. Read other reviews , they are dead on. The place looks like a slum, the RV sites are shoehorned in, I could not believe my husband got our rig into it. The so called "free WiFi" was free for a reason, as it was nonexistent. We did not use the showers , as I couldn't bring myself to go there...we got out of there as fast as we could. read more

Full water hookup, level, pull through site. We stayed here for 3 nights on Labor Day weekend and were very happy. They have a live band some nights, but the camp spots are far enough away it didn't disturb us or our children. Nice, large play area that my son loved and it was really close to the camp site. Nice little RV park right off the interatate. Clean bathrooms and laundry facilities had a little problem getting WiFi at my site but took care of all my Internet needs while doing laundry. I will keep this on my stops if coming through the area again. read more
