I enjoyed the Whispering Hills RV Park and its location. There are full hook-up sites, a swimming pool, a lake, basketball, bark park, bar, picnic tables, and a playground with giant blow ups for the kids to enjoy. There are plenty of places around the park to just sit and enjoy a book. Some sites offer fires, but ours didn't. There are two laundry locations, but they only have a few washers and dryers. That's not enough when the park has 230 sites. Expect to wait for one to open. You do have a picnic table, but it's time to repair them. They did add in their flyer to call if you have an issue with your picnic table. You mow and clean up your site after someone stays, so you should already see any table issues. When I get to a site I've already spent many hours driving and don't want to call with any issues. I want to set up, relax, and enjoy the amenities. The property is very clean and well managed. They have an employee take you to your site and assist you in pulling in. We would definitely stay here again!! read more

Very large campground. Over 200 sites. We had a nice 5 night stay as our base for bourbon trail and equine activities. Cool blow ups for the kids. One of the better bark parks of all the campsites we've visited - separate area for small and large dogs. There is some noise from the nearby interstate. And the newly opened shooting range starts popping around 08:00 am. Other than that it would depend on which site you're at. The only things we did not enjoy - MANY late arrivals every single night made for a lot of noise late in the evening. The park needs to place more signs for the 10 mph speed limit AND enforce it. There were too many cars rolling way too fast in the park. There are kids, people!! If I wasn't paying attention to one driver, she would have hit me - driving too fast and on her phone. Not the sites fault but a lot of rude campers - starting their big diesel rigs in the early morning and late night (not sure why, they didn't move anywhere). People walking through our site. Nice clean camp ground. Spots are VERY close together. Limited privacy and LOTS of rules. all the bathrooms, laundry are key codes. You are fined $25 for setting a trash bag out front. If you are a bonfire, late night kind of camper. Go elsewhere, this one is quiet by 10pm. read more

Nice clean rv park. There is a little pond - I don't know if fishing is allowed, but I didn't see any signs saying you can't. They have activities for the kids. It looks like a nice place to stay. Location is off US-I-75 at Cherry Bloosom exit in Georgetown KY. You need to go down a skinny road for about 1/2 mile, but it's straight and easy. The owner of this place absolutely sucks!!! He is such an a**hole! We rented out a spot here for our camper and the owner got my friends car towed all because he said he wasn't supposed to be there and it was private property, mind you I PAYED TO BE THERE!!!! Very well run RV park with clean sites, plenty of amenities, friendly helpful staff, and entertainment. The sites are mostly level and well done with gravel and nice green grass. It's always less stressful to have nice wide lanes to be able to maneuver our long travel trailer into our site without bothering anyone like they do here too. The location is enough out of the way to make it quiet and beautiful, but close enough to make it easy to get to from the freeway. read more

Don't know where to start with this place.....let's start with the drive in. The road was very narrow and I would hate to see 2 RV's passing each other. Our spot was long and wide but it was not level. When i looked around it seamed like a majority wernt level. All the employees at checkin and driving around were nice. The bath rooms and laundry room were clean everything we used them. The kids really enjoyed the jump houses....they don't have a path from the street to the play area and you have to walk through people sites, got nasty looks from the people in the sites everytime. They need to make a path to the play area a priority. read more

We stayed here for two weeks to explore the surrounding distilleries, horse events, and parks, etc. It is a very nice RV park with great staff and amenities. It has super full hook up, pull through sites. There were clean, nice bathhouses also. The landscaping and pool were terrific also. There are slides and water basketball (with volleyballs) available. They have a lot of group fire pits surrounded by hanging swings which are great for campfires and s'mores! Doggy stations and grassy areas and doggy park for your fur children. Lots of inflatable and playground equipment for your other children. So glad we stayed here for two weeks. Add a Pickleball court and you'll have everything! read more

We have been traveling from Los Angeles Ca on a RV trip and this place is by far the best! SO CLEAN AND FAMILY FRIENDLY! The pool is clean and has 2 water slides! There are so many bathrooms with showers that are immaculate and beautifully colored in each part of the park! A beautiful playground and bounce houses for the kids! There is also a barn like building with tables to eat at if you wanna picnic. There's a gorgeous pond that your able to fish in! I give it a 10/10 i definitely recommend!!! Okay, we'll start with the elephant in the room first. Spaces are tight and they manage to fit a LOT of rigs in these small spaces. This mirrors what other reviewers have said. At the same time, navigating in/out is not as hard as it would seem. Just be aware that you will have neighbors and they will be close. On to the rest. This was an overnight stay for us on our continuing cross-country trip, heading to TN. We're so glad we found this park. Even with the number of people, the park is surprisingly quiet after 8p. There are a lot of activities/spaces for kids, and tons of green space for dogs. And, people actually pick up after their dogs. I shouldn't ever be shocked by this, but I am. The public facilities are updated and spotless! I don't know how we lucked out, but we had a perimeter spot on the end with nothing but green space to one side. Score! Our site was rock and level; and the water tastes great! And it's only 17 miles from Lexington - #bourbontrail. The only ding is proximity to the 75 - traffic is loud, kids; no way to sugar-coat that. If you have kids, or are traveling with friends, this is a park with fantastic energy. My children threatened by him and segregated out of all the other children (for doing something all the kids were doing). when confronted he got very angry and threatened to kick us out. Nice park, convenient location. The roads that lead to the park, while smooth, were somewhat narrow and low hanging limbs. Just be aware and no problems unless meeting on coming vehicles. Service was great and very friendly. Had to get my toad jump started when leaving and they were glad to help. Cons: Were 2 that are my pet peeves for rv park. 1) Gravel sites. 2) Unlevel (VERY) sites. We did opt for the cheaper back in site, as we were only there a couple days and hadn't planned to be at the rv much during our stay. The up graded sites were somewhat better. But several of those also appeared no so level as the units on the sites were either jacked up high on one end or excessively lowered on the other end or both. Would use this park again, but opt for one of the upgraded sites. Reservations recommended. read more

Giving it 4 stars only because the pull thru sites do not have a fire place. And there is a row of camping spots that has no grass or fire places. It's like a parking lot. But if you can get the spot by the lake you will Have it made. This place has one of the best bath houses I have ever seen. We will be back. My wife and I stayed here for two nights to get away and visit a few distilleries and this park was perfect. Loved the grounds as they were great for a morning or evening stroll with the dogs and the staff was so friendly and accommodating since we had a late check in. This little gem I found on yelp. So glad we stayed here it was beautiful. Our view we had was the pond , with a little fountain in the middle. It's not to far away from the "Ark Encounter " maybe half hour away. This was the reason for a visit to Kentucky. Was to visit the Ark. this a very nice Rv Park if you don't mind a drive down the back roads.. One of the best campsites we've stayed at. The pool has tube slides that's like getting a water park for free!

I understand this is a new RV park --- but really hated the small space for chairs and table outside the RV. No room for our rug (warned would be fined if put rug on the grass) to help with the debris from all the gravel. All roads are gravel as are the actual parking sites. LOVED the restroom/showers and laundry room. Very well done with lots of room and privacy and very clean. The pool was nice but right up front and the set up for kids was very good. Never did hook up to Wifi. I hope that in the future there will be trees/landscaping to warm up the area as it was very cold due to the feeling it had just been razed and then put in the streets. Will come back when there are trees. read more

This place was awesome! After a terrible experience of false advertisement at another park we reserved, we called Whispering Hills in hopes they would have a last minute spot. They did and the staff stayed late to let us check in. Great customer service, bath houses have private locked rooms with A/C, fishing, playground, basketball court, bounce houses, and a nice pool. I stayed here for the week. Actually, we only planned to stay Friday through Monday, but we stayed for a few extra days because my air conditioner at my house went out. It's a Good Sam participating campground, in hind site we should've paid the $25 to join the club to receive the discount. Our site was #49 and had a large green space and was pondside. The view was gorgeous! The geese would fly in toward the pond over and over and it was absolutely magnificent. One of the downsides to that spot, though, was that it was beside of the recreation congregating area. On one night, they had movie playing in that area, which made for a less than peaceful campfire experience for us that night. The next day there was some sort of family reunion or group event with a ton of people, again causing site #49 to be less than peaceful. This was one of the busiest campgrounds that I've been to. Usually the majority of the campground leaves on Sunday morning, not here. It was even busy on the weekdays. The non pondside sites were very close to each other and the gravel sites were very short. It's in Georgetown, but not near as close to Lexington as the Kentucky Horse Park campground. I won't knock them for that, but what I will knock them for is faulty electric hookups. The breaker blew three times in one day, in the 90+degree weather. My dad came down from Winchester to GTown to my rescue. For the record, I did "report it" and was told that had been reported about that site before and one employee was almost confrontational about it. We've camped at countless campgrounds (as you can see from my Yelp list https://www.yelp.com/list/happy-camper-bardstown-3 ) using everything electrical else that we did that day and never had this happened before. Another downer was that we were told that the only way to avoid it from happening over and over, was to not use certain things. So we decided to switch the hot water heater from electric to propane. When my husband got "home"hours after my fiasco and our 16 year old fur girl was still panting and it was still humid inside, he decided to address the issue with the owner. The owner came to the RV and was very nice and gracious about the situation, but didn't handle it with any compensation and mostly used the excuse that it was an issue with our RV. I did appreciate that they disclosed upfront that wifi is "limited". Which we later found out that meant that the highspeed internet resets on the 7th of each month. So if you're staying near the end of the month or just before the 7th, your chances at wifi access is more limited. Thank goodness for my personal hotspot data. read more

We stayed here for 4 nights and absolutely love it here! We are on our way to Michigan and this is a great RV resort with a lot of amenities. The RV sites are gravel but we didn't care one bit. All the staff are extremely friendly and willing to go above and beyond to assist. They have a swimming pool, movie nights with popcorn, pond with fishing, and bouncing houses. Fantastic!! Love being able to park at the fishing pond. Only downfall of the place is your site is just long enough for your camper or rig. You have to pretty much park in the road. When you get there or leave you have to ask the people in front of you to move their vehicle so you can pull out or pull in. read more

Whispering Hills is exactly what you expect from an RV Park. RVs are packed in tight and scenery/nature is not the primary focus. You're paying for good utilities, access to bathrooms, laundry and customer service. The office staff here were incredibly friendly and helpful - they even helped us break into our camper with their master key when we locked ourselves out. They have some parts in the store if you need them too! There is a bit of scenery to be scene, with a pretty field and lake along the property. Served the purpose and was quite cozy! Nice quiet park with wide roads. Though the back-in sites are perpendicular to the road, the host took us in so we were backing our 5th wheel from the drivers side. Just remember to stay off the grass. Very friendly staff and they have a good 'book swap' library. read more
