So much has changed since my last visit here. Whew it's been a minute. They are now serving food. I wasn't too blown away with their food menu. They were out of many beers. I ordered their IPA but was brought out something else. This was quickly resolved. I enjoyed the IPA. There was a private party in the upstairs portion. This seems like a decent spot to have a small gathering. By adding food to the menu this is indeed a PLUS. Staff was cool. My server was new. read more

This place was seriously hopping last night....definitly not what I expected on a random Monday night! Walked in around 8:30pm last night, it was packed and everyone looked like they were having a great time! Apparently Monday nights are Bingo nights and, of course, we joined in on the fun. Everyone was super friendly and playing Bingo was pretty exciting actually lol. Besides the wide variety of beers available, they also have a menu with a good selection of food items that are reasonably priced. Surprisingly, the place is family friendly and kids would definitely love their root beer. I saw an adorable little girl going around helping people by collecting used Bingo sheets. She deserved a tip, haha. Oak Mountain Brewing Company is pretty spacious and would work well for events or work functions. I was too busy playing Bingo last night to check out their upstairs spacing, but it seems like a good area for private parties or just for people watching. I came here this past weekend for a birthday party. We took over the whole top floor and had a server/bartender all to ourselves. The lower level was pretty popping with a live band. It was a little too loud though so be prepared for that when there is a live band. Our bartender/server was amazing! I don't like beer, so you know I went with food! My boyfriend and I shared the chicken quesadilla and an order of nachos. I absolutely loved the quesadilla! Possibly the best quesadilla I've ever had. The tortilla was so soft and it was a huge portion! I know what I'm getting every time I come here! We ordered nachos too, but I could have used way more cheese and jalapenos on them. We had heard great things about Oak Mountain Brewing from many people, so my husband and I decided to check it out. The Oak Mountain brews were great. I was surprised that they also served other people's beers, but I guess the more extensive the selection, the better. One thing that I was disappointed about was the food. It reminded me of a state fair rather than a brewery. The seating area is very spacious. There is plenty of room for groups and there is even an upstairs sitting area and an outside patio. One thing that is great about this place is that they offer cool events such as live music c and even a cookie decorating class. read more

Tried this place 2x a few weekends ago. Went around 1:00 pm on a Friday and around 2:00 pm on a Saturday----not much happening and not very busy but look at the time we were there---and as such it was not prime time for us to see what this place has to offer. That said, place is clean, televisions work, menus are readable and clean and beer is cold---all good. We tried 3-4 different types of draft offerings and tasty and hit the spot. Food is basis with descriptive names for hamburgers, sandwiches and cheese----food is okay but not expecting much so all is good. Popped in here for a flight of beer after dinner and their selection is diverse and interesting in terms of taste. The King's Chair Barleywine was my favorite and had a nice whiskey kick to it at the finish. They were busy when I showed up and it seemed like they were struggling to find time to take care of me. The beer came fast but it was hard to get anyone's attention. That said, they were friendly folk. Unfortunately, they don't sell a lot of their beer in anything but crowlers so I could get the ones I liked to take home because it would be flat by the time I'd wanna drink it. That establishment itself felt more crowded than cozy. There was an entire upstairs that wasn't in use so maybe I just went at a bad time. They have a merch section but nothing seemed to be in stock. I would've at least liked to get a pint glass. All in all, good beer. Not a bad place if you just want to pop in real quick but there are better breweries. read more

A good restaurant and brewery combined. Nothing spectacularly original in way of selection or aesthetic, but its a solid choice for a night out. Burger, flatbread, and pretzel are some of the highlights of their menu, and they'll have a drink for any taste. read more

Decided to pop in after my hike at the neighboring state park and was super excited to hear about their crawfish/shrimp boil. I got the crawfish boil and tried the blonde and the kolsh and everything was super delicious. We stopped by here to check them out after a small hike at Moss Rock. Overall we were pretty pleased with everything, thus the 5 star review. Walked up to the bar upon entry and looked over the digital menu (TV screen) to get an idea of what they had. Also, had a QR code you could scan to get an online menu. They were more than happy to let us sample from the stuff on draft. I tried a stout and an ale while my wife tried a couple sours. I ended up going with the #4 Kentucky Vanilla Barrel Cream Ale. Really smooth taste that really tasted of the vanilla cream on the finish. Really nice for a warm afternoon out on the patio. They indicated that they would be bottling their own stuff in the next few weeks, looking forward to having them as an option. Good spot for a brewery, staff was awesome. Great atmosphere and welcoming staff. Tried their two IPAs and their beers were solid for the area. The Party Time IPA was the stronger of the two. Had I only had the beer I'd probably give it 4 stars but the food was lackluster. I got the meatball hoagie and it was a sad excuse for a sandwich. There were maybe 5-7 small meatballs without even close to enough sauce. If they can improve their food, this would be a great place to go watch a game and hang out. read more

I've been a few times for their special events. Crawfish boil was amazing. The place was packed and the atmosphere was kid friendly and we all had a blast. Excellent craft beers as well as mixed drinks for the real party goers. I would highly suggest Monday nights for bingo starting at 6:30 PM! It has a great jovial crowd that is family friendly with terrific food. I would suggest the flatbread pizza, the BLT Panini, or the French dip! Also, their pretzel is out of this world! I like how they have a giant window between the production side and the taproom. Pro tip: The have a second level which over looks the rest of the brewery. It is my favorite place to sit. Such a great local spot. They have big screen tvs above the bar to watch your favorite game . Also, they let you sample their on tap brews to see if you like it before you purchase it. The manager and supporting staff are amazingly friendly and treat their customers well. I would recommend this establishment to anyone wanting to slip away for a quiet night. read more

Unlike a lot of area breweries Oak Mountain keeps a large variety of their brews on tap and having tried almost all of them I can say they are very good. The inside has a number of large tv screens where you can watch Saturday afternoon football and at times they have music in the evenings on weekends. The menu is somewhat limited but the food is good and the prices reasonable. The only reason it doesn't rate five stars is because they seem to have staffing problems. We've been there several times where the service was beyond slow and if you sit outside on the patio on those occasions you won't get any service. Still, when they're staffed it's a great place to spend a Saturday afternoon or Friday evening. Did I mention their beer is the best in the area? 4.5 stars. read more
