    Chicken quesadilla
    Lucy T.

I came here this past weekend for a birthday party. We took over the whole top floor and had a server/bartender all to ourselves. The lower level was pretty popping with a live band. It was a little too loud though so be prepared for that when there is a live band. Our bartender/server was amazing! I don't like beer, so you know I went with food! My boyfriend and I shared the chicken quesadilla and an order of nachos. I absolutely loved the quesadilla! Possibly the best quesadilla I've ever had. The tortilla was so soft and it was a huge portion! I know what I'm getting every time I come here! We ordered nachos too, but I could have used way more cheese and jalapenos on them. Overall it's a really fun place especially for people that live on this side of town.

We had heard great things about Oak Mountain Brewing from many people, so my husband and I decided to check it out. The Oak Mountain brews were great. I was surprised that they also served other people's beers, but I guess the more extensive the selection, the better. One thing that I was disappointed about was the food. It reminded me of a state fair rather than a brewery. The seating area is very spacious. There is plenty of room for groups and there is even an upstairs sitting area and an outside patio. One thing that is great about this place is that they offer cool events such as live music c and even a cookie decorating class.

I enjoyed coming to this brewery. It was very clean , there was a good amount of seating where you could outside on the patio , main dining area and some seating upstairs from the main area as well. The service was great and the bartender was pretty friendly and gave some great suggestions of the different beers.

We stopped in with friends to check this place out. We sat outside because we had our dog with us. No problem I went inside, and the interior was large and looked super clean. We had a nice visit and I would love to come here again!

A good restaurant and brewery combined. Nothing spectacularly original in way of selection or aesthetic, but its a solid choice for a night out. Burger, flatbread, and pretzel are some of the highlights of their menu, and they'll have a drink for any taste.

This place is great it's so fun I love it yeah. Come and have some great beers also but the food is great

    A really good Porter.

Very rarely do I get lucky enough to have a place like this right across the parking lot from my hotel. But was looking for a casual place to have a few beers and dinner my last night in town before heading back to Dallas. Great service, great beer and really good food as well. I really enjoyed myself and hope to be back someday soon.

Decided to pop in after my hike at the neighboring state park and was super excited to hear about their crawfish/shrimp boil. I got the crawfish boil and tried the blonde and the kolsh and everything was super delicious. The wait staff was incredibly nice and checked on me often and they had live music that was pretty great. Definitely a cool place to check out!

We stopped by here to check them out after a small hike at Moss Rock. Overall we were pretty pleased with everything, thus the 5 star review. Walked up to the bar upon entry and looked over the digital menu (TV screen) to get an idea of what they had. Also, had a QR code you could scan to get an online menu. They were more than happy to let us sample from the stuff on draft. I tried a stout and an ale while my wife tried a couple sours. I ended up going with the #4 Kentucky Vanilla Barrel Cream Ale. Really smooth taste that really tasted of the vanilla cream on the finish. Really nice for a warm afternoon out on the patio. They indicated that they would be bottling their own stuff in the next few weeks, looking forward to having them as an option. Good spot for a brewery, staff was awesome. Really liked our time here.

Beer was very good . The staff was very friendly. I will be back next time I am in town for beer and food

Love the craft beers and the knowledgeable and kind staff.. for the beer list my fav.. 1. Blonde ale 2 ESB 3 Peach maker

Great atmosphere and welcoming staff. Tried their two IPAs and their beers were solid for the area. The Party Time IPA was the stronger of the two. Had I only had the beer I'd probably give it 4 stars but the food was lackluster. I got the meatball hoagie and it was a sad excuse for a sandwich. There were maybe 5-7 small meatballs without even close to enough sauce. If they can improve their food, this would be a great place to go watch a game and hang out.

Great staff, GREAT beers, incredible vibe. We sat at the bar and had really good conversations with the GM and brewer. Good selection of beers, food is good, area is really cool...what more could you ask for? We'll be back!

    New pretzel buns were delicious

Amazing beer selection. Even better house made beers! 24 taps and many more in cans and bottles. Also the food is out of this world!

The table arrangements of tables, booth seating, and cocktail tables were great so you could have a cocktail hour, as well as a seated dinner. The food was from the Gianmarco's menu and it was absolutely delicious. We had three appetizers in the cocktail hour. One was a mushroom bruschetta, one was a fried oyster bruschetta, and a small Caprese appetizer. The fried oyster and Caprese appetizer were the only two I tried and they were so fresh and delicious. I really liked that the fried oyster crostini and the mushroom bruschetta were served on small slate square plates. It was a really unique way to serve the hors d'oeuvres and the presentation was beautiful. Everybody's main meals looked so delicious and I was very pleased with my lamb. It was cooked absolutely perfectly and so flavorful and tender. I will say that the chicken Parmesan looked phenomenal and we had one friend order the veal Parmesan and it was an insane amount of food. He had never tried veal before and he really enjoyed it! The servers and team there were so hospitable and friendly. I would definitely keep this place in mind in the future for private events.

The space is beautiful and the staff is the best in the business. From the event coordinator who helped me plan all the details to the entire staff that took amazing care of us at both of my events- they were top notch. And the food is second to none (you can't go wrong with Gianmarcos cuisine!). If you are looking to book something simple or extravagant, I highly commend GM 705. You will not be disappointed!!

Here we go! Review #300! And keeping with my centennial theme (#100 was Review of Georgia Tech -…read more#200 was Review of Bobby Dodd Stadium), you're probably wondering how this museum relates? And if you weren't, don't worry - I'll tell you below. The Birmingham Georgia Tech Alumni Association held their annual banquet at this museum last month. Not being from the Birmingham area, I had no idea that this place existed! What a great venue for events, while also showcasing Birmingham Water Works from its earliest days.Use of the museum is for business and civic orgs only.... so no wedding receptions or private parties. AV and other technologies are also available for use. Not sure on the cost to rent, but given that the Alumni Assc. has a limited budget, I'm sure we didn't spend too much on renting the space. Stop by and view this venue if you're looking for a unique spot to hold your next meeting or event!

Truthfully speaking, I've never been inside the larger museum room and am not exactly sure what all it entails. This review is specific to this building being used as a party/event venue. I've been on 3 separate occasions now (2 holiday parties and a baby shower) and have always had a good time. You can setup the room however you'd like with tables, chairs, microphone, speakers etc. There's also kitchen space and easily accessible restrooms to take advantage of. On this same side of the building where parties can be hosted, there's also a little bit of interactive museum stuff... fun!! Some cool pictures and historical information displays can be found throughout this room as well! Brick walls, high open ceilings and all the rustic decor makes this place feel unique, authentic and like any other event venue that you'll find in Birmingham (that I know of).
