The X-rays gave the unexpected diagnosis of Scoliosis in the lowest part of my spine. I was shocked and nervous. Luckily, mine was diagnosed sooner rather than later. Dr. O'Toole and his staff were lovely. He suggested core strengthening and flexibility exercises. I requested guidance on exercises and a referral to Novant Health Rehab, in the same building. My Physical Therapy Team is Erika and Ryan. They explained that this won't cure Scoliosis but my strengthened muscles will better support my spine and hopefully slow the progress. Erika did my evaluation and explained the first batch of exercises and gave me an elastic band and printed instructions with illustrations, so I could also do them at home. She was so nice and helpful. Ryan has been doing the actual PT with me and I've been twice. He added more exercises and gave me the revised printed instructions with illustrations. Ryan has also been very nice, efficient and thorough with explaining new exercises and he patiently answers all my questions. I do my at home exercises everyday and my flexibility and core strength is improving steadily. I really appreciate the spacious and clean facility and all it's equipment and tools, especially because it is close to home. The overall atmosphere of the PT area, other staff and other patients is very pleasant. I actually enjoy the appointments. After every appointment they update MyChart so I can read all their notes about my progress. I hope you don't, but if you should ever need physical rehabilitation, for health or injuries, I highly recommend them.

I first came to Dr. LeBauer in October of last year. At that time I was limited in what I could do in my daily activities from the pain in my arm and neck from my herniated disc. I had tried many different forms of treatment- traction, physical therapy, and epidural cortisone shots. All of those relieved my symptoms some but not to the lasting effect that treatment from Dr. LeBauer has provided. I had pain in my neck at about a 4 out of 10, unrelenting aching/ burning pain in my upper right arm, my arms went numb when I would sleep, and I was unable to exercise or read a book. The myofascial release is a godsend. Dr Lebauer is very knowledgable, understanding, and explains things in a comprehensible manner. He has a very calming demeanor and quickly put me at ease. Since I have been seeing him, there has been a 180 degree turn in my life. I am now completely back to my old life. I have no trouble with daily activites, I can exercise, read a book, and sleep with ease. The pain in my neck is gone. The pain in my arm is gone. The numbness and tingling has vanished. I regained range of motion in my neck that I thought I had permanently lost. I am so thankful I found Dr. LeBauer. He has given me my life back. If you are in constant pain, give him a call. I started to receive some relief from Dr. Grosman's treatment almost immediately, and now I keep going because it keeps me in good condition. 2) He's honest. I suspected some of the other chiropractors I worked with were stringing me along, treating me frequently to bill my insurance. Dr. Grosman's staff sat me down and discussed up front what treatment I was likely to need and what my insurance coverage limits were. My treatment frequency has been based on my need, not my policy limits. I was actually surprised when Dr. Grosman suggested spacing my appointments further apart; he could have billed my insurance for the more frequent visits, but he didn't feel I needed them. 3) His staff is professional, efficient, helpful, and friendly. They make a point of greeting me by name, even though I'm only there once a month. 4) The office is clean. That may not mean much to some people, but it means a lot to me. 5) They're low-pressure. The office offers nutritional supplements and weight-loss stuff that they themselves have tried. They make it available and they're happy to tell you about it if you ask, but they don't force it on you. 6) They believe in education. Dr. Grosman gives regular sessions explaining why chiropractic works, so you understand what you're doing and why. He also makes patients partners in their treatment. He's not there to "fix" you, he's there to help you help yourself feel better. It's about promoting health, not treating illness. 7) They're prompt. I rarely have a wait for treatment that's more than ten minutes, and usually my wait to be seen is less than five minutes. 8) Billing is convenient. They bill my insurance company directly, and I just handle the co-pay. For some reason, a lot of chiropractors require you to submit your claims yourself, which is more work than I feel like doing. All in all, I'm very pleased with Dr. Grosman, the clinic, and the whole staff.

The staff that was there for my treatment 9 nine years ago was the same staff there just recently. And they are all friendly and accommodating. In fact, even after all those years, they still remembered me. It's nice to have a doctor's office that has a personal touch. While the decor may not be modern, everything is clean and neat. I wouldn't go to anyone else!

Both of my sons and I have been seen as patients at Oak Ridge PT. We have seen Andy, Brittany, and Megan. All three have been wonderful to work with and the front desk staff is also very welcoming and helpful. We went in for different reasons and all had great results. They listen to your problems/concerns and are very knowledgeable. In addition, they are also kind and professional. My youngest son has a hard time opening up to people and he opened up pretty quickly to Brittany and now loves going to her. I highly recommend them for your PT needs. read more

I cannot speak highly enough of Andy Michels and his entire staff at Oak Ridge Physical Therapy. I made the decision to drive 25 minutes one way for my therapy three times a week for three months after my knee replacement because I wanted a smaller practice. I have never regretted a single second...in fact, I will be quite sad when I am completely healed! They are all so professional, competent and truly care about your wellbeing. The Therapists here are great to work with-friendly and professional. I had pain in my shoulder and lower back. During my treatment, if I felt more pain-the Therapist quickly readjusted the exercise to my comfort level. By the end of my prescribed sessions, my pain had decreased and a week later, I had no more pain or discomfort; but, I continued my exercises as instructed. I highly recommend this office! read more

Andy and the staff were great to work with. I was in constant pain when I started my treatment and walked with a slight limp. After one month of therapy I was using the bike, walking on the treadmill and able to do many other strengthening exercises. Over my 48 1/2 year career I have been privileged to know and work with a large number of skilled and highly regarded physicians. Dr. Sarvar certainly belongs in this league of health professionals. My wife first saw Dr. Sarvar regarding post-surgery rotator cuff concerns followed by a personalized program to address additional areas after he had started his own practice. I observed from her experience how his approach is so personalized and targeted at specific objectives. Equally important I saw how invested in his patients he is - reflected in a degree of availability rare in these times, as well as outstanding communication. At my wife's encouragement, I decided to have an initial assessment, even though at 82 years of age I was not having any pain or other known physical limitations. My first session proved to be a fascinating experience. Having had a recent minor tennis strain injury shortly before the appointment, he designed a program for stretching tight muscle groups and to engage in active healing for the injury. The results were amazing when at the 30- day follow-up my former 28 cm limit from forward-bending touching the floor had decreased to 12 cm. A subsequent program was designed to promote continued improvement in flexibility and balance, while adding some strength-building. All this was designed to achieve a more functional ability to engage in specific sports activities such as tennis, golf, and trout fishing. He is one of the most engaged, dedicated, and skilled professionals I have ever gotten to know and worked with. His knowledge of anatomy, function, and how to design interventions for patient concerns to reach one's goals for improvement is simply amazing.
