The woman at the front desk was nice and moved me to another room but the lack of basic cleanliness still applied. Also a giant iron bed frame a foot taller than me was leaning at a precarious angle over the head of the bed because the screws were stripped and since I didn't want to be crushed to death, murdered or contract some disease I immediately left and cancelled my reservation. The Wyndham Garden on Texas Ave is AMAZING. Stay there instead.

I was pleasantly surprised at the hotel and I really appreciated that they have set quiet hours that are enforced. The quiet hours policy that they share with all guests at checkin gave me confidence that I'd get a good night sleep at the hotel. The room I booked reminded me of a brand new condo unit as it was relatively clean and smelled and looked rather new. The fixtures were nice in the full kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. I was placed on the first floor and I typically detest first floor walk up types of rooms for safety reasons but I honestly felt safe in this hotel. There is a small scaled gym that guests can use and free coffee and tea in the lobby area. The hotel is not too far from Texas A&M and close to restaurants and gas stations. Each room has an ironing board and iron and hair dryer. And my room had a living/dining area, full kitchen, two (2) televisions, and a full bathroom. The only thing I wasn't too fond of was there not being a night desk person. However, they give guest a number to call in the night if there are issues or if there is a noise complaint.

Every single rule must be known and followed, or you will be accosted at every turn. Pretty sure she watches all of the cameras and waits for you to do something wrong (like having half of a car tire in the dirt parked at your spot). We are happy to correct anything we do wrong especially if we do not know the rules. But the WAY she goes about her job is terrible customer service. Petty issues that she makes a HUGE deal. Kids are not allowed to do anything alone and will be yelled at if they exceed 5 MPH on their BICYCLE. We moved our RV there in March and would have stayed through the end of the year but had to leave because of her directly. I was genuinely shocked to hear from other guests that this is exactly what she does and she has driven away COUNTLESS RVers!!! They say she makes them so uncomfortable they do not even want to use the amenities. Becky lost them another 4 thousand dollars at least from us! Happy to take our business elsewhere.

We called Rockdale RV Park after hours and the owner met us at the entrance and led us to our pull through site. We didn't even unhook our rig before crashing into bed. The Rockdale RV Park is basic but very clean. Staff was great.
