Really nice, fenced in park with grass, trees and separate area for large and small dogs. Water fountains for dogs, poop bags. It was empty when I got there, but another person showed up after 5 minutes. It's a bit too far for me to drive from Modesto, but if you live near there, it would be great for your dog. Only thing is, it was hard to figure out where to park, so I parked in the grass under a tree. The road to drive into the park looks like a bike road, very narrow. It's right before the railroad tracks, and the train was going back and forth. You may need to wait to exit until the train leaves. read more

Huge dog park that is divide into two sides for big and little pups. There is also another park directly next to the dog fences for walking paths. There are no restrooms. Very easy to find location and plenty of free parking. There are some really nice humans there and the cutest pups who love to interact and play around. Bring your fold out chair and some water and grab a patch of shade while you hang out visit and watch the pups. Great time, great people, great pups. read more

My local dog park is pretty neat! located around you, there is a nice neighborhood, a beautiful trail, and roads to the Purple Park and Blue Park. There are separate areas for big dogs and little dogs. No one of the ages 11 or younger in the fenced area. No litter, always admirable. A horse is in a next door house, but it is fenced off, just to warn anyone. I really like this place, the trail there and back is pretty decent. read more

This is the only dog park in Oakdale. It's slightly out of town and sort of hidden but if you take the time to find it you will enjoy it. It has separate fenced in areas for dogs of different sizes and the dogs here are always very closely supervised as far as I have seen. I like a dog park where I can see the owners are actually playing with and entertaining their dogs rather than just dropping them off and popping up a chair while the dog runs free and does as it pleases. This park has nicely kept grass and very attentive dog owners. I have never been concerned with safety here. Although I do think before you go to any dog park you should make sure your dog is ready and is current on vaccinations, licensing requirements, and wormed. Better safe than sorry! read more

Very nice dog park that is worth the 15 minute drive for me and my dachshund. First of all, it's grass and not sand (Elk park in Modesto is 85 percent sand). We met lots of friendly dogs and owners and everyone seemed to have a handle on their dogs. The water fountains were working and they have a dog bowl level. There is little to no shade provided by the newly planted, young trees, so be prepared for full sun. Two benches in the two sides and a few benches outside of the fence. It's clean and well maintained. Ample doggie pooping bags available, so please clean up after your pet. There were people throwing balls, even if their dogs weren't interested. Overall, it's the best dog park in the Modesto area. read more

Super clean park! They have divided areas. My dobie and Yorkie love this park! I love that it's so grassy and mostly calm.

This Dog Park is devided into two areas both fenced and of equal size , nice and large per side. I had taken my Fur Person, Dodger a Border Collie Rescue dog to the park in Modesto and it terrified him so many dogs and some very agressive. I was not going to take him again and our trainer mentioned this park. The Change was awsome, We started on the small dog side and he now loves going there to any side. He has come to love playing with other dogs after being a working dog all of his life he is now enjoying being a pack dog and playing with others. It warms my heart to see him play as he is usually very serious and not playful. I would rate this Park and the people who go there with as many stars as I could give. not only Dog friendly but People friendly to. Hope to see you there. Ed read more

Large grassy area for the large dog area. Well maintained. No agility equipment or anything special. Beware if you see a man with his weimaraner. He incited his dog to fight ours. Was yelling at his dog "to get in there! Fight! Attack!" Said he wanted his dog to be more aggressive. After telling him to stop, he laughed and kept it up. We quickly leashed our dogs and left. Our dog defended himself and our puppy and ended up with wounds to his head, face and chest. Our dogs have been to many dog parks and have never been aggressive. To the contrary, our male dog will often run between dogs who are getting aggressive to break things up. This man mentioned living in the area and we had the impression he may frequent the park regularly. read more

Wonderful dog park! Lots of green grass and room to run! Needs more shade, but that will happen over time as the trees mature. Bring a chair, cause there's not much seating to chat while the dogs play. Great separation between small dogs and large, but some of the large dog owners really need to pay more attention to their pups behavior. If things get to crazy, I remove mine, but for the most part, both dogs and people have been very nice. As mentioned there is a low water fountain for the pups and a nice separate area to bring dogs in and out. There's also doggie bag dispensers, but we bring our own bags. People seem to be pretty good about picking up after their pups. read more

It's big and it's green. This is more than can be said for the Modesto Dog parks. We pack up our picnic chairs and the chucker and head all the way out to Oakdale once a month or so. (There are plenty of benches but I'm sure they are covered in dog pee). Also, all the dogs I've ever seen were well mannered and obedient. At the Modesto dog parks you seem to get dogs that are just looking for a fight. I appreciate that the Oakdale pet owners are more responsible for their animals behavior. read more

This dog park is pretty nice! It doesn't have as much shade so it does suck when it's sunny outside but I believe they're in the process of growing some trees which will provide plenty of shade. There's no parking lot so you would have to park on the curb and walk to the dog park. I've been here three or four times, mostly during the mornings/afternoons, but everyone seems really nice. I think they water the grass in the morning because it is super wet and squishy when I walk on it. It does get muddy due to a few empty patches here and there so your dogs paws will get dirty. Not that many areas to sit down and rest, just a few chairs here and there. I really like that there's a trail near the park that you can also walk your dog. read more

This place is great! There's plenty of room in both pens for dogs of all sizes. The entire place is green and open for running. A few benches are scattered about and water fountains are available, unlike bathrooms. The dogs and people are very friendly. Bring your own toys, there aren't any here. read more

OAKDALE: CRANE ROAD DOG PARK Caution!!!! Woman dog owner at park (4-8-15) with black bit bull mix (pink collar), allowing her dog to be aggressive toward other dogs. As a result the dog bit other dog owner. The owner of the pit sat on a bench like she didn't have a care in the world. Needless to say all the responsible pet owners gathered their pets and left. Hoping the woman who sustained injury goes back to gather information from the irresponsible pet owner, as she needs to be held responsible for her negligence. SHAME ON YOU! If you ever see this! You didn't even get up off your$(;:/;)&), to ask the woman if she were okay after YOUR dog bit her and YOU clearly knew what had happened! read more

Not a bad place to take your dog at all. Their secure entry gate is great for making sure nobody's dog runs loose and there are actually 2 fields, 1 for big dogs and 1 for small dogs. I would love to see some agility equipment here in the future. read more
