I have worked with two different coaches Kipp (no longer there) and Peter (new addition) both were very good and helped so much They are truly very good at training you on their system which is very solid and works with all skill levels. Price is not cheap but it's reasonable and we'll worth it. I truly believe the at the golf room you are getting what you pay for. I couldn't think of a bad thing to say about this place if I tried. 10/10

Have been patronizing this store for a few years mainly because of location convenience but…read morehonestly, if a competitor moved in nearby, I'd go there instead. First of all, staff is pretty decent, not perfect but not the worst. They have had some turn over so your experience may vary for each visit, just don't expect too much. They seem to be chronically understaffed and 50% of the time, getting someone to set you up in a practice bay is an ordeal. Which, btw, are now overpriced considering the equipment and quality. The website is a miserable experience to book a practice bay btw and checking in to pay is just as bad. The whole process could be streamlined. Store layout is awkward af. There are two registers up front separated by the entrance so you're standing in the way of people coming, going and trying to walk through. Very often only one register is staffed by someone, so plan on waiting in a line most of the time. This is where the staffing issues are obvious, in addition, their PoS systems are glacier slow so transactions are not quick & efficient. The cashier also often has to answer the phone or take extra time with a customer's need (trade ins). Seems like this is a bottleneck in the store, makes me NOT want to purchase anything there because the wait & transaction process is painful. Again, not blaming staff, this is a PGAStore corp. decision to go cheap on PoS and create an awkward store layout & experience; thus discouraging me from wanting to purchase anything, unless I see there is no line, but there often is. Lessons & fittings. Have not personally experienced this so cannot speak to it, though others online have and it is not great apparently, do your research. However. If you want to talk golf equipment, most of the staff over at fitting bays can be knowledgeable and helpful, IF they have the time, which usually they do not because they're very busy. So often, trying a used club will also be an exercise in patience. This is sort of understandable but seriously, if an associate walks past someone hold a club looking for assistance (this has happened more than once) at least ask to make an effort. But again, most staff is friendly knowledgeable & try to be helpful. Clothing selection is adequate though pricey, even for golf. They also have the standard shoe selection, though often out of stock for most common or popular sizes. Again, do not expect much. Balls, gloves and other accessories are plentiful and pretty much as you'd expect. The putting green area is awesome. Great to just pick out a display model and try it. In the end, I only go here if I have no choice because I advocate supporting local over corporate stores and this one is an example why; too much price for a mid to low experience.

The lanes are clean and maintained, with the option of bumpers, the classic bowling shoes are available for rental, and there is a huge collection of bowling balls to borrow in every color. The scoring system is a blast - there is an option for fun animations, which not only reflected each score, but also showed some possible ways to knock down remaining pins, when applicable. There are a number of other options that we didn't even get around to exploring yet. While the grill offers the classic pizza and pop, the smells coming out of there were amazing... all day breakfast, salads, sandwiches, and more! Staff were friendly and informative. Also available on site, accessible near the entrance, are entrances to the bowling store and the outside patio area with sand volleyball and the like. Great course that will challenge your distance and accuracy. You'll have fun and a good 3 mile…read morewalk. Take a photo of the course with your phone before you start so you can easily find the next tee. (That will help on 15.) The first half of the course is wide open and long, but there are a few tricks to learn. When the signs say there is a "drop off" they actually mean cliff! A slight over correction or hook will land you 75 feet down a steep hill before your disc even begins to roll. The back 9 are in the woods- so add trees to the distance and a nice hike on the way. In the fall the back 9 will play easier, but in spring and summer you'll fight the leaves on the trees. Par here is 63, just 1 under the much shorter course at Blendon Woods just across 161. Both courses are Fun- but Hoover is a challenge. One you'll enjoy taking. ***Note*** if you put the address into google or maps it will bring you to the middle of the course- not the start. Take Central College and a left onto Cubbage, then take the first left. Follow it to the parking lot just before the dam then you'll be set.

Pros: + This course is a good challenge from pro's and normal tees. + It's well taken care of + There are some good long throwing hole and technical holes. + A & B pin placements with regular and pro tees. + Hosts several tournaments each year + 27 holes to play + The front nine is open, and the back nine is wooded, and the back back nine (A-I) is a mixture of both. Cons: - Gets crowded when the weather is nice, and I've noticed large groups play (more than 4 people) - Parking can be a problem on the weekends. It gets very busy at those times. Park near the entrance and start at hole 10, park in the main lot, for hole 1, or park in the back or main lot for hole A. The back back 9 (A-I) aren't usually that busy. Other Thoughts: Most people I know start hole A after they play 14 and then continue on to 15 after hole I, but play it as you see fit. To get to hole 15 from 14 walk through the pine tree forest, to find A, continue forward towards the road, the pro tee is on the left and the regular tee is around to the right.

There was one person working who was super nice and got our drinks and checked in on us but otherwise left us to play. I wasn't a huge fan of their board or the closeness of the targets but we adjusted and had fun playing. You only get to throw the hatchet here unfortunately so no other fun things to play around with. We kept score with their laminated scoreboard.
