Was very easy to schedule an appointment for the following week, arrived and was seen within 15mins so not too late for a dentist! the clinic looks as though it is either new or had a refurb because walls, carpet and dental equipment all looked very new or clean. Fortunately I only required a check up so can only comment on the dentists performance at that but was very friendly and didnt seem at all judgemental. The moment you enter the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Reception was well laid out and clean...everything was pristine clean even the toilet. The dentist himself who only does extractions was very calming, he explained everything he was going to do, what he would need to do if the tooth broke apart, what any potential side effects could be and only when I was ready did he begin. He even apologies that the local anaesthetic injections would "pinch" ...understatement...lol. However, apart from the noise of the tooth being pulled there was no pain, he constantly talked to me and explained what he was doing, all the while in a very calm and gentle voice ...all the while I was swearing he stayed calm and pleasant. He was pleasant to his dental assistant and it was all over in 10 minutes. If you need your teeth out, go here. They are totally lovely and it even made this unpleasant procedure almost nice.

Everyone working here is polite, considerate and does their best to reassure the nervous patient. The receptionists are efficient and I was made to fill up a form with my details when I first visited the set-up( nothing too difficult there). waiting times for next appointment can be very long(upto 6-8 months ) but I am sure it would be shorter if an emergency comes up. I have never found the hygienists very convincing or good in their workalso the stairs are very steep it being housed in an old building.

However recently I turned up for an appointment and met my new dentist for the first time. When I walked in I could not work out if he was the dentist at first because he wasn't dressed in the usual dentist attire. I also found him accusing, abrupt and rather rude. I however respect that he knows what he is doing when it comes to the care of teeth etc, but don't respect his manner. I also think that had I been a middle class Caucasian woman/man his manner and tone would have been entirely different.

I have never got why people get scared about going to the dentist…read more From the age of three I used to go to Kings College Dental Hospital. Initially, slightly shy about letting a stranger look into my mouth (I am told) my parents would bring me here while Dr Smith a very amiable and calm dentist would count my teeth, give me a sticker and off I went home. I doubt this is common practice but it worked for me and since I have never had a problem with going to the dentist. The hospital deals in paediatric, orthodontic and specialist dentistry. It is run by the NHS so advanced booking is necessary and the time in the waiting room is by no standards brief, but the dentists here were always fantastic throughout the many years I was a patient here for. Excellent with children, excellent in what they do and thankfully I have not had a single problem with my teeth since.

It was a long time before I received…read morea letter with an appointment date and time (which could be changed on calling them, but I didn't need to), but apparently it takes up to 6 weeks for them to contact you after a dentist referral. My letter was followed by an automated voice message to my phone a few days before - reminding me of my appointment and asking me to confirm that I would be there. On the day the waiting time was minimal, the staff friendly and really put me at ease. I had an Xray (you have to remove all jewellery around the area - earrings, necklace etc, however I have a lip ring that I have never removed and they just worked around it). They provided an easy to understand analysis of my wisdom tooth situation, and the procedure I would need to go through, and said I would probably need another, 3d, xray scan to know how the tooth sits, before the surgery. A few days later I received my letter asking me to book my 3d scan appointment, which I did, and I arrived on the day and went straight in for the scan. Again, I could not remove my lip ring, and neither could the scanning staff, so they worked around it and it was fine. I am currently waiting for my letter to book the surgery itself. My rating will perhaps change after that! Pros: Friendly, helpful staff, efficient appointments (minimal wait!) Cons: Having to wait for letters to be able to schedule appointments - it creates a delay and a phone or an online system would be much easier! Scanning staff not being able to help me remove my lip ring haha.

When i phoned Triangle Dentist Practice the receptionist was very polite, well spoken and helpful. They were accepting NHS patients and could book me in for an appointment the following week - so I snapped up the appointment. Today i visited the Practice and it seems i had a completely different experience to the other patients who have left reviews - really could not fault the staff or dental team. Receptionist was again very polite and helpful and i only waited a couple of minutes until the dentist actually came out, said hello and guided me through to the dentist's chair. I saw Amit - he was fantastic and probably the best dentist i have ever seen. Really friendly, calming and professional. All the way through the checkup and treatment he kept me informed of exactly what he was seeing and the works he did. He gave me loads of advice and genuinely cared about ensuring i understood everything, was happy etc. Top class. Left feeling really happy and have booked in to see the hygienist.
