The Wellington at North Richland Hills, TX is one of the most poorly managed senior communities in…read morethe DFW metroplex. The business manager, Arika Healy, is not a nice person, and she was unresponsive in assisting me with issues I had. Several unpleasant things happened to my 93 yr old mother while she was a resident there for a little over a year. Theft of personal items from a housekeeper was allowed to continue for several residents after management had been advised. There was a sex ring among several residents that management shielded from scrutiny and made several female residents very uncomfortable. The perpetrator of the illicit activity was personally shielded by Arika Healy, and residents who complained were ignored and villified. It was not a good situation. The staff turnover was excessive, and several good staff members quit their jobs when my mother was a resident. Prospective residents and their families need to understand that if a resident passes away, they or their estate will automatically be charged an extra month's rent for not giving a 30-day written notice. Apparently with the Sonida Senior Living company which owns The Wellington, a dead resident is expected to a give 30-day notice upon moving out. I would never recommend this senior community to anyone looking for a safe, nice place for a family member, and I truly regret that my elderly mother's last days were spent at this facility.
