Despite multiple phone calls, messages on their portal, and even sending a written letter, no one ever returned my calls or acknowledged my dispute/grievance. The complete lack of communication is unacceptable. The next bill is get ($80 missed fee, mind you) I'm going to file a formal complaint with the state. I honestly should have done that a while ago, I was just hoping they'd dismiss the charge-- I was an established patient for well over a year at the time, yet my concerns were completely ignored. I never missed an appt before. On top of being freshly postpartum, i was dealing with a newborn, which I included in my communications to indicate this was a one time occurrence and requested for them to understandably make a one time accommodation! Again, empahisis on the FRESHLY POSTPARTUM-- Hello! Hence why I was a patient! Totally dismissed. Additionally, the front desk staff were consistently unhelpful, not particularly knowledgeable, and lacked warmth or professionalism -- which is especially concerning for a mental health practice where patients should feel supported, not dismissed. The failure to address billing disputes, combined with poor communication and an unwelcoming front desk experience, reflects very poorly on this practice. I would strongly caution others to keep detailed records and be prepared to advocate for themselves, as resolving issues here appears to be unnecessarily difficult.

When i said i was suicidal she brought my brother in and told him she didnt see potential for me to get better (in front of me). She repeatedly blamed me for my issues, and told my emotionally abusive mother that she shouldnt have to change. When my year of group was up after i got out of a mental hospital, my mom tried and tried to stay in contact and renew for the next year with no communication back. Leni went as far as to lie about calling my mother back (no calls ever went to her phone). Its been 10 years and i still think about this damage and how much worse off i was because of her. Being kicked out was nothing other than better for me, and i know someone else from that group who had a very similar experience to what i did. Fuck leni and fuck this center.

I don't know what they're rehabilitating mentally, it was an echo chamber of the same day over and over again and you just learned to get out by following their bullshit. I hope it's gotten better.

Dr. Cohen has helped me immensely. I have seen other therapists in the past and it is a night and…read moreday difference in quality. He is compassionate but fair. He doesn't just tell you what you want to hear. He wants you to be your best self. He helps you uncover deep down where some of your behaviors and thoughts come from and how to change your way of thinking if those behaviors or thoughts are getting in your way. I am a happier and less stressed person because of Dr. Cohen.

Dr. Larry has never produced any such stories for my best friend (who also sees him) and me. He's in his mid 40s, but comes off as young and hip (though not in the "trying too hard" sort of way.) If you feel like you need someone to talk with and you're a hip 20 something (in other words someone who is on this site, hence reading this), I strongly suggest checking him out. Oh, and he's unbelievably attentive. If he knows you're going through a crisis, he'll actually call you sometimes. For instance, I have a very important job interview this Thursday and I have a strong feeling I'm going to get a call from him Friday morning. It's how he rolls. Check him out!
