Mom broke her hip and she's her for 30 days learning to walk with her replacement hip. She's in a room alone. And her room is like a hotel room. Huge room, good air, cable TV, nice adjustable overhead lighting. She has a refrigerator and shower bathroom. The nurse care is pretty good. Mom like the food they give her. She really like that she had no restrictions to what she can eat and how much they'll give her. The facility has ample rest access parking. There's valet Parking if you come during valet hours. Each floor has a community room. My 87 yr old mother didn't want to go. Said that's for the old people. Really. But we did go outside and say in the shade to enjoy some of the nice weather. So far this has been a good choice for moms Rehabilitation after her hip surgery But this may get updated as mom gets more length of time here. read more

This place was a total nightmare. Very few nurses and aids, some Doctor Who we do not know the name of stop by and gave my relative an antidepressant and never explained anything else and no one knows his name. Food was in edible, and physical therapy was a joke. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

This is my second stay here at TotalRehab and I will come back after my next surgery. The staff is really great. The administrators are always available if you have an issue, they will do their best to resolve it. There are social workers and a team from mental health to dietary available. From the medical team to housekeeping are friendly and helpful. Both nurses and aides are helpful and caring. The medical team is, as well. The Doctors and Nurse Practitioner are knowledgeable. I had an issue that they worked hard to help with. The activities team does a great job keeping the residents engaged with a variety of things like movies, games, music programs and crafts. Physiotherapy is very good, with hydrotherapy twice a week if you're a candidate. They have both physical therapy and occupational therapy with great, caring therapists. The facility is very clean and quite nice. Most visitors say it looks like a hotel with chandeliers, "oriental" rugs and hardwood floors throughout. The rooms are private with refrigerator/freezers and private, roll in showers. The food has improved since I was here last, but it could be improved. The main complaint I had on both stays, was that the meals and coffee were cold. The kitchen makes a lot of silly mistakes like wrong condiments and such. People look forward to their meals and things like temperature, the wrong or no condiments and running out of items turn into annoyances which don't help when you're recovering. But, you can call the kitchen for whatever you need and the aide is happy to warm your plate if you want. I would recommend highly. As I said, I've had two multi month stays, I was pleased both times and I'll chose TotalRehab after my next surgery. read more

Don't let the chandeliers fool you! The quality of care from nursing, administration and physical therapy was so poor that my loved one began hullicinating from dehydration and a UTI, a swollen leg, which after 41 days he still had no brace, and he was found everyday sitting behind the desk, sometimes even undressed. There was absolutely not a single nurturing staff member, no empathy nor compassion in their staff. I would not send my worst enemy to this facility. To note: he was moved to another facility and in less than 4 weeks is making huge improvements. read more

I came to Total Rehab 10 weeks ago after spending 5 weeks hospitalized. An odd bacteria decided to rearrange my inner organs. When admitted to TR, I had lost 1/3rd my weight and did not have the strength to sit up. My therapy started with the basics: sitting then standing, coordination and movement, as well as swallowing. My PT, OT, and ST staff are wonderful and encouraging. They kept me at a good pace and would not let me sluff-off. They made me independent again and happy with my progress. I looked forward to that part of the day which I called Day-Camp. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Staff is responsive and accommodating. Management was available and was good at solving any problem that needed a higher pay grade decision maker. Anything brought to their attention was handled promptly and expeditiously. read more

I just spent 7 weeks at Total Rehab in Moorestown. When I went in there, I could not even lift my foot off the floor. Their Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy departments are excellent. They worked with me every day. I still need a walker but was able to walk to the car to go home. The Rehab is beautiful and very well kept. They came in every day to clean the rooms. I had a private room, which was a big plus. They also have get togethers for those who wish to socialize. They had games and entertainment and provided treats, like water ice and ice cream for the patients. There is also a movie theater. The food, to be honest is what you would expect from this type of place. But it was not bad. I found the nurses and aides to be very helpful and pleasant. I would highly recommend Total Rehab. read more

I am a Registered Nurse with 46 years of experience. My Aunt Terry was transferred to Total Rehab from Virtua Hospital at my recommendation. After my aunt arrived, I observed that she was always on clean sheets and wearing a clean gown, unlike the hospital. It was a rocky start as supplies were not in the room. Manga, the RN, was quick to assemble the admissions kit for me so that I could brush Terry's hair and teeth, wash her face and hands, etc. Manga was consistently available to offer any help I needed. Terry did not want to get out of bed when she first arrived. She slept most of the time. I came in every other day and rousted her awake, sat her up in bed with the help of the nurse's aide, Diamond, and set up her breakfast or lunch tray. She ate everything! She liked the food. When Terry didn't shower, I walked her into the bathroom and showered her, washing her hair. I contacted Mark Leiner, the Assistant Administrator of the 3rd floor, and he responded within 24 hours. Instructions were given to the staff to call me if Terry did not feel like showering or going downstairs to therapy. Tim, the Nurse Manager, passed this information on to the 3-11 pm shift. My visits were 3 days a week by the third week. From the start - Christy, the 3rd Floor Coordinator, was very prompt and helpful in answering my questions regarding Terry's lab tests and her progress as she advanced to Physical and Occupational Therapy downstairs in the gym. Danielle, the Charge Nurse, was kind and attentive in updating me on Terry's progress. Michael, the other medication RN on the 3rd floor, acted kindly and promptly whenever I needed his assistance. Both he and Manga jumped in and immediately resolved any issues or problems I had regarding Terry's care and needs. Mondo and Casey were two male nurses whom I met only once. They were both courteous and prompt in answering my questions and fixing any issues. (Please excuse my spelling of the following names ...) Shanika, the 5 star nurse's-aid, assisted Terry in washing up, dressing, getting her to the lounge chair, and setting up her breakfast tray. She was a friendly, energetic gal. She brushed & braided Terry's hair so that she wouldn't get tangles in the back of her thick hair! (Her braids were much better than mine!) Gerald, from PT transport, always had a smile and even helped Terry get to the bathroom before taking her downstairs to PT. He waited for her and didn't walk away. Housekeeping was also a pleasure. Ciara was quiet and shy, but always responded with a smile and a little conversation when she came in to clean Terry's room. I have an advantage over most patients' families. I know what to do and how to follow protocol for patients in rehab. I know the difference between a nurse's aide, a med nurse, and a charge nurse. The response I received from Mark Leiner, the Assistant Administrator, was excellent. He was on the 3rd floor everyday. He followed up multiple times during my Aunt Terry's stay to ensure she was receiving proper care. I was pleased with the responses of the personnel when I pointed something out to them. I will continue to recommend Total Rehab for any family or friends who need this type of short-term care. I am aware of no other facility that offers care at this level. Would be a 0 if that was possible. I'm truly in absolute shock that the reviews are as decent as they are. The ignorance of the staff is absolutely disgusting. It is the holidays, not one persons family is happy to have a loved one in there right now and their negativity is no help to the situation. I get out of the elevator with my very sick aunt who is full of cancer, and beyond weak, I have a SUPERVISOR say "Ugh it's you" reallly?! Really?! Bc she gets so dehydrated and delirious that she is unhinged. It's unbelievable the lack of care these employees show to these patients. This place needs to be investigated. read more

My wife has been there for five weeks. The staff is outstanding the private rooms are great. The therapy is outstanding. The meals are of good quality. If you have lunch in the bistro it allows for patients to engage and make friends. The activities group is also outstanding. My wife and I have experienced four rehab places over the years this place stands out amount the rest. Would recommend to family and friends alike. 5 stars. DV and wife. read more

I was in this trap for months... they suck, took my insurance money, sucked it all up and gave me Covid, moved me to vorhees and tried to get rid of me by improper discharge because they didn't know how to rehabilitate me. They literally sent me back to the emergency room at Rancocas hospital for a day for no reason other than they messed up communication with my insurance company. Then they improperly discharged me to the wrong hospital and didn't properly provide information for the hospital or my transfer. If the ambulance service guys hadn't stayed with me until the very end, I would have been dumped at the wrong hospital with no way home. Then they wanted $5,000 out of me after I was at home and the day I spent at the hospital on the Saturday is still unpaid for and they should be responsible for that bill. THE PEOPLE HERE ARE GYPSIE SWINDLERS!!! THEY ROB YOU BLIND AND THEY DON'T GET YOUR POWER BACK! THEY ALSO CHANGE THE NAME SO MUCH THAT THEY USE A TIE DOWH BANNER! I think they change the name after they get too many bad reviews Your loved ones will die in here. Just watch the ambulance show picking up the dead watch them go! read more

My care was excellent. Guess it depends on your floor and room. All facilities have employees that can be outstanding or sub-standard. Most of the aides were responsive when I rang the buzzer. There were 2 very high maintenance patients in rooms nearby, so staff members were frequently in their rooms. I was transferred to Total Rehab post-surgery and was able to return home 3 weeks later. My doctor there arranged in-home rehab at the time of my discharge. The top administrators were present, active and responsive. The nurses were perfect in administering the correct medications. The aides were good in standing by while I did what I could, helped when I couldn't. I did exercises in bed. When I was able, I stood next to the bed holding on to my walker. From there I was able to start doing movement exercises. I asked rehab therapists to recommend exercises. I was encouraged to do as much as I could. If I had to choose a weak area, it was the social worker. I saw the intern a few times, not the social worker. A meeting was scheduled but neither I nor my family were informed, so it was just me and my care team. It was facility food. Tolerable. In general, it was room temperature or warm. The least appetizing was anything with gravy because the gravy was cold when it arrived in my room. I scraped off the gravy. There seemed to be a lot of fish. I don't eat seafood. I'm not Catholic so it didn't occur to me until later that I was there during lent, so they probably offered fish on Wednesday and Friday. They do have alternate items available if you don't like the choices on the menu. If I need to go to rehab, I will go to Total Rehab again. Those who came to visit me commented about how nice that facility is. I've visited some others that I wouldn't even want to visit again. read more

The Owner took my mom's phone and gave himself a stellar review. The care was awful. They rarely responded to multiple attempts for help. No one answers the phone so you have to go there personally to get any type of help or update. The food was disgusting. Don't trust them with your loved one. read more

Honestly don't know where to begin. Writing this review as a daughter who put their mother in this facility praying for the best and was let down multiple times. We started off very rocky, learned quickly you need to be on top of care at this facility and be your own advocate. There's some staff members that should not have jobs, that truly neglect patients, sit at the desk all day (especially on weekends- when the big bosses - mark, Ben, and mayor aren't around to witness the behavior). But then there's staff here that I don't think I would have made it out of this nightmare of an experience without, or my mom. Nikki saved the day MULTIPLE times. I can't tell you how many calls/ texts I wouldn't hear back from Ben/mark about concerns and SERIOUS hipaa violations. Nikki got to the bottom of EVERYTHING FOR ME! Even if it was something Nikki couldn't figure out right away she would make sure she did then always returned a call to make me at peace. Then Jason and Marlena - these two deserve a medal! They are angels and don't even realize how much they impacted mine and my mom's life. They were such a light to my mom when she was in such a dark place in that rehab, they were always on top of her meds and her care. They always noticed when something was off or when my mom wasn't herself. She never missed a wound change with them! The rest of the staff I can't say the same for- we'd go days without. It got to the point I went to Nikki to request them- again Nikki made it happen (Nikki even helped me switch doctors when I didn't feel safe with who my mom was seeing! She made me feel very heard) the first visit here my mom's wound wasn't cared for properly leading her to be sent out for multiple surgeries, upon returning we saw NP Beth, she's nothing short of amazing! My mom adores her she listened to all my mom's concerns and broke down a treatment plan for my mom to easily understand and always kept my mom in the loop about care. Where the first time around (Joanna seemed to just want to medicate my mom for any issue instead of figuring out the root of the issue). Next we have Drew, he cared for my mom's wound after it was mistreated the first round. He was very on top of it and took his job very serious and I cannot repay him for the care he gave my mom. Then we have PT and OT Desiree and Cassandra both great ladies they got my mom up and moving to where she needed to be to be discharged. As for the rest of the facility it's a joke and needs improvement management drops the ball and isn't around enough to know what's going on or they are turning a blind eye. They drop the ball on setting up follow up appointments and transportation, the communication just falls flat all around honestly. The food is awful the kitchen staff is so rude. My mom was supposed to be ordered a walker to go home we never got one or an update... I could go on and on and write a novel on how shitty this place is but I don't want to waste anymore energy. Moral of the review: Nikki Jason and Marlena are the glue holding this place together and this place needs to recognize that and give them raises and put them into positions to train because they have the skills to teach others because the rest of the staff lacks. read more

Think twice before using this facility for a family member. On Thursday, December 5th, 2024, I had a concern about my family member's health. I called and left a message on the 2nd Floor Unit Manager's voicemail, the Assistant Director of Nursing's voicemail and the Director of Nursing's voicemail. Today is Thursday, December 12th and not one of the three people ever returned my call. Sadly, the concern I had about my family member's health last Thursday got worse and by the weekend necessitated a hospital visit. read more

Our experience was great. The staff, in particular Jason, Zori, Marielli, Amber, PT/OT and nurse practitioner Beth were fabulous. Even Shea at the front desk was a sweetheart. We felt they were all caring, attentive and compassionate, and admin assistant Ben was very responsive to our needs. Our loved one had a lovely, clean private room. Don't believe the hype! This place is no resort as their marketing team would like you to believe. It's more of a last resort. Pulled my mom out of there after two nights. Room was filthy and tired. Dirty window, blood stained carpet, stained sitting chair not sure if it was vomit or oatmeal. They cleaned it after noticing in the morning but still. It was discussing. And the food, oh brother. Who are they kidding, restaurant type meals my butt. Don't send your loved one here. Do your homework on this place trust me. read more

It seems that no one there wants to take any kind of personal attention to their patients. With the exception of housekeeping, who seemed to be the most friendless and always had a smile on your face. Therapy seemed OK, but no one knew what the other was going on a day to do to date basis with your care. Like all the other places you only allowed 2 showers a week no one ever came to ask, I had to beg at least 5 to 10 people each time. I wanted a shower to finally get one. And my shower leaked into the hallway, leading back to my room. The food, like most therapy places was not of a high quality and when something was missing, it was very rare. It f you asked to get it that you actually got what you were missing. When you rang for help in your room with the button then normal wait time was at least 30 minutes and I had waited up to almost 50 minutes before somebody came to answer my call for help. .If I ever have to go back for therapy, I definitely would not pick this place. read more

I resided at the Total Rehab for 2 months 2weeks. I became acquainted with the nurses and aides who were assigned to my room. The nurses were thorough in their duties which consisted of dispensing of medications, wound care. The aides were consistent with keeping you clean along with your surroundings daily. Housekeeping also kept the rooms clean and sanitized. I appreciated the PT and OT (exercise) to help you get stronger and become independent before going back home.
