First impression of this "World-class Veterinarian" I was highly impressed! However, I allowed them…read moreto be my "trusted veterinarian"; HUGE MISTAKE. I was talked into starting the CareClub program which seemed extremely helpful, I was only able to take advantage of this for 3 months although I was locked into an agreement for a year. 27 days post spay surgery I had to make the hardest decision in my life due the severity of my attack. Completely came out of nowhere, I had to call animal control which took 3 days to remove my cat from my home..My first instinct was to call my "trusted veterinary clinic" I was asked from the woman over the phone "Why would you bring her here?". Extremely disrespectful and disheartening to hear that from the last people to touch your baby! I wanted to ensure that I was not going to be continuously charged for my CareClub plan so I have now called 3-4 times and physically went into the office to show the staff the severity of my wounds.. I was assured by the wonderful receptionists (THE MOST HELPFUL AND CONSIDERATE employees!) that I would receive a phone call from the Office Manager on Thurs, the 19th. I never received a call, so I called first thing Friday morning and was told that "oh the manager took care of it." I understand the situation was "taken care of", I deal with legal agreements daily. Maybe it's too much to ask, but I would have expected some sort of email addressing the termination of the agreement. WHERE IS THE COMMUNICATION?!?!?!? WorldClass Veterinarian? Hmm do your research.

I left my two dogs at Hamilton Pet Resort back in July for 15 days while we went to Georgia and…read moreWashington D.C. on vacation. They called us the following day after we left to tell us that one of my dogs (Kia) had died. The dog was old but in good health when we took her there (she had just got a check-up). At the time we were just thinking she may have died from the combination of old age and the stress from being in a strange environment. When we got back in town we went by to pick up the other dog. They refused to let us come back where the dogs were kept. When we dropped the dogs off, they took us back there. It took them almost 30 minutes to bring Sheba to the front, and they would not let us see her. I kindly asked the lady if I could see my dog, and she said they had to get her ready. When they finally brought Sheba to the front she looked very scared. She would normally be all over us if we were away from her for just a few hours, but she was acting afraid. I went to pet her and she blinked as if I was going to hit her. That is when I noticed a nasty cut on both of her front paws. I asked them about it , but they claimed they don't know how it happened. This was impossible to miss. When I got her home, and gave her a bath I noticed she had a ring around her neck. It was like she had a thin rope or wire around her neck. i called Hamilton Pet Spa to ask about this. They just told me that chock collars were legal. I also noticed that she was full of fleas. I know she has never had fleas, because I check her daily, and treat her for fleas. She is in the house most of the time. I am not sure what they did to my dogs, but Kia (my older dog) did not survive it. The younger dog still has some issues when going to the vet. She thinks we are going to leave her. I am very disappointed in this place and will never take an animal there again. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They need to shut Hamilton Pet Resort and Spa down.
