A table of 4 and we received our appetizer quick enough and had time ro enjoy it before our order came. We all made sure to get something different so as to try as much of the menu we could. Burger, fries, cauliflower, chicken fried steak sandwich, pork tenderloin sandwich, onion rings, glue fries, drinks and im sure im missing something. Everyone left feeling very satisfied, and loving our choices and what we ate. The place is smaller and I can see once its a packed house it is probably noisy but its to be expected. After all it is a tavern. I will be recommending the place as much as I can and will visit again when I am in town.

This place is pretty good about any night of the week, but usually Thursday through Sunday is the best time to check it out...or any holiday weekend the place is usually swamped by 9 pm. Its not a huge bar but there is enough space to move around, they have a "quite" side of the bar for relaxing and visiting with your friends, usually older people hang out over there; then there is the "loud" side of the bar where the younger people hang out. On the loud side of the bar is also a brand new shuffle board table which makes for a good way to meet people. Give it a try they are the only place around that knows how to make a good Moscow Mule....also try the mixed drink they call a "trash can" it's tasty and has the potential to mess you up if you have too many.

It took a while for our eyes to adjust, my husband knocked over a box fan in the dim light, but it wasn't an attempt to hide the food. Our meals were both excellent as bar food goes. I eat gizzards any time they are on the menu and my husband orders his "goto" hamburger when food is being prepared on a grill. Neither one of us was disappointed. French fríes accompanied our selections and they were plentiful, although a few of mine were undercooked and cold inside. Restrooms were clean, parking was plentiful, food arrived quickly and we left with full stomachs. We are glad we took a chance on Ski's in Columbus.

Our server Jeff did seem busy, and was pleasant, but never around. He greeted us and took our order quickly. Then someone else dropped off our entrees (app was supposed to come out first which he clarified with us when we ordered). I would have asked for these to be taken back and tossed, but was hungry and ate half of them before we could flag down our server--my husband had finished his entire meal of wings by this time. The wings were ok, and would have been much better if sauced. My husband likes his boneless wings just fine. The cheese curds we got were pretty good--more of a breading than crispy fried texture, but the flavor was great.
