This was a beautiful church. They care for their church, and the cleanliness and decorations prove that to me. I've never seen a church so beautifully decorated for the Christmas season. The church is very spacious and plenty of seats. The technology and visuals were top-notch. The staff were friendly and respectful. Also, they have plenty of parking too!! I attended a funeral here and the pastor gave an amazing message. The pastor gave a great service that really opened my eyes and see death in a new light!! Thank you for the fellowship and worship today. Go visit this church because their Christmas decorations do not match how beautiful it is. They take pride in decorating and showing the spirit of the holiday! I want to go back and take my kids. read more

Every year they put on a beautiful Christmas light display and this year was no different. You can either drive through it or walk through it which is the best way to get up close to the displays. It's hard to believe how much it's grown through the years and I was surprised to hear that this was their 30th year. They now offer really fun things like hat rides and train rides for the little ones. They also sell things like hot dogs, popcorn and hot cocoa. They ask for a "donation" for the purchase of these things but who cares?! Do people really believe that it costs nothing to run a display like this so that literally hundreds of people can enjoy it every year?! Definitely a do not miss event if you like admiring beautiful lights this time of year. Check website for hours but I believe it's open most nights until 9:30 pm. read more

Horrible customer service. The volunteers and employees working the event were beyond rude. The church is about the bottom dollar - the "donations" are not donations, they are fees for your kids to partake in the activities. They turned a fun family night into a nightmare. My overall take is, there's a lot of places to go visit in Miami Dade and Broward to enjoy Christmas and there's many other places of worship on the area that care about the community, I'd take my chances there. read more

Writing a negative review about a church pains me, but it's our responsibility to protect each other. My apologies if this a bit long, but a negative review deserves background. Oasis church is more interested in membership than their members. After twenty plus years in existence, why are they running heavy membership drives? I think my story explains it. I'm a 64 years old new to the area looking for a church home. Oasis sent me a timely invitation. After a couple of services, I met with a pastor to learn more about their church. It took a visit to their office, an email, and two weeks to get a call back to set up a meeting. The Sunday service before we met, they did a motivational 'how to be successful' prosperity gospel sounding sermon. The pastor loosely connected Christ with a couple of scriptures at the end, which concerned me. I filled out a guest card and had a difficult time finding a volunteer in their guest reception. Someone with an Oasis lanyard finally took my card without a word and never made eye contact. The pastor I met with told me they leave integration into the community up to members. He told me they get complaints from members that they don't know or hear from other members. He explained the church leaves that responsibility to the members. "Introduce yourself to the people you sit near and get to know them." They do nothing visible to cultivate personal relationship with leadership. I made a concerted effort and met with disinterest in improving or creating a personal culture. Towards the end of our meeting, I mentioned the prosperity gospel sermon. Based on my other visits, it seemed atypical. He expressed discomfort with that sermon and said it was not their philosophy or usual sermon. The following two Sundays centered on their membership drive. The band was larger with additional singers. They put on a fabulous showy worship set that was more like a concert. Their long membership pitch was followed with member videos about Oasis and remedial teaching about Christ and the bible. This continued the following week. The church was full, so I sat in the back in one of two seats against the wall to observe. A young lady sat alone next to me. At one point, she hung her head and buried her face in her hands for quite a while. Volunteers hustled and bustled, and passed by smiling, barely making eye contact with me. No one paid attention to this young woman who was obviously in distress. On a side note, three or four volunteers passed me by with collection baskets like I wasn't there. People don't hang around after service and talk. The volunteers smile, maybe shake your hand, thank you for coming - like when you deplane. But having a conversation gets nipped in the bud. No introductions. Just a smile and averting eyes. The pastor I met with cancelled our follow up meeting by text message and never called. After pointing out my concerns, I wasn't surprised. What if someone needs ministering like the young lady I sat next to? This is the persona and character Oasis Church emanates. It is not a place for new Christians or struggling Christians, which we all are at one time or another. read more

This church is a medium sized facility with several services on the weekend and nightly meetings. It is very multiculteral and the pastors on staff have a sense of loyalty to the ministry and show integrity. The lead pastor, Guy Melton is a solid preacher. I always come away feleling like I got a message. He doesn't put on a huge show with gimmicks like some large churces do. The music is good and the people on stage are not all into themselves. read more

I just started going to this church, im a transplant from up north. i was looking for something on saturdays that was not designed for teens and not for my mom! don't get me wrong im sure both would enjoy the service, but i wanted something contemporary with a good base in the bible and great worship...i really love both at oasis! if you are looking for something, and lets say you are in your late 20's-late 30's and don't have kids, then saturday at oasis is your spot. worship was fun and modern, with songs i know, not 100 year old hymns, and again, thats cool, if that is your thing, but it's not mine. service is fun, light, and deep, with good bible based scripture...i really love that they go beyond preaching "just" salvation, which is great for new christians, but i am beyond that, so it's nice to hear wisdom and truths from the bible that can guide and nurture me to a more full understanding of God and Jesus, and the peoples of the bible. all in all, great church, friendly people, great message! check it out! read more

It's been over 2 years since updating this and I can't believe the life transformation I have undergone through this church leadership and staff. I continued attending Oasis since I started back in early 2014 and so it has been almost 3 years now that I have fallen in love with the people of this church. One note - visiting on Sundays is NOT enough!! There is no way that my relationship with Christ would have gotten to the level it is at if I did not surround myself with these amazing people and attend community groups in addition to volunteering with them. The staff really show you what the face of Jesus was like - welcoming you, willing to pray for you, follow up with you, be reliable. And this starts from the top down with excellent leadership and humilty from our Senior Pastor, Guy Melton. He is absolutely the most genuine, humble, and God-fearing man I have met. I truly feel it is a gift to have him in my life and as my Senior Pastor. He goes out of his way for people, has a heart and spirit of giving, and puts himself on the line for his church. I admire him, respect him, and look to him for spiritual guidance. I love how "real" he is with his church family. Honestly I would never think to leave this church... I have tried many others in the area and in the northeast and it is incredible difficult to find a place so welcoming and inviting. This place is incredibly unique and a light (an Oasis) for all in the darkness of this world. This is what Jesus looks like - we want to welcome in, save lives, and transform hearts to His Biblical teachings. One drop at a time!! Join a community group! Had a great time at Church yesterday. Topic was Sex, Dating, Marriage for the believer. I think it was appropriate and necessary that we have these types of conversation continually. My kids had a great time in Kids World as well. I am a member at another church and have never been to Oasis' regular services. Great church to attend. read more

Great service this morning. People were really friendly and the message was what I needed. I will be returning.

I would no longer be attending this church. They claim they are all about the Christian faith but the truth it they are not. My family had been attending for years but my recent experience has made me realize thaty too often even those that claim to be promoting the word of the Lord has no problem embarrasing you and your children. They have a policy of not allowing children in the adult room. I have 2 daughters. On this particular Sunday one my daught was sick with strepthroat and was not feelign well. I took the other daughter to the kids area (Kds world) and my husband stayed with the other daughter . She was quiet and sititng while we sang praising the Lord. A major turn of event when this church volunteer walked over to my husband and asked that he move to the back of the room because he was with my daiughter and that was not allowed. Again this was while we were singing and clapping to the Lord's song. She demanded we move back embarrsing us while the whole congregation watched. We asked her to give us a few minutes and she refused to that. Pastor James Brown knowing of the situation did nothing. It was sad and shameful and its funny how easily peoepl forget what the purpose of the chuchs is all about. I will never go back. read more
