I was recently invited to this non-denominational congregation in Davie which meets for worship at different times on Sundays. I had heard many good things--especially about their youth program. As the saying goes, "First impressions last a lifetime"; and not only was I made to feel welcome--from the parking attendants to the ushers who seated us--but the worship team impressed me (unintentionally) as they led us in corporate worship in a simple and sincere way. I'm not big on staging with fancy lighting and props that distract from what we are there to do: worship the Lord together. As for the message, I appreciated the outline of the pastor's teaching that they handed out to follow along with as well as the scriptures that were shown on the screens. He also delivered the message in a good amount of time--it didn't drag on. It was about a 20-minute concise and powerful message! The only hiccups, if you will, were the long line of cars along Flamingo Road, since they share the street entrance with the nursery and farmers market that holds events at various times throughout the year, and that they passed around offering baskets. I didn't think churches still did that, particularly because many people like the convenience of making their "donations" online or in secure receptacles located throughout the main building. Last but not least, I like that I can choose to stream the service or go back in person to connect with other believers and also participate in some of the Bible studies and community outreaches they have both here and abroad.

Hours. And location. Near Flamingo road nursery so stop by after for lunch or a smoothie!

I ended up going that following Sunday, and I loved it. My family and I have been both attending and volunteering there ever since. We see rabbits and costumes on Easter, pumpkins and Halloween treats in October, giant turkeys for Thanksgiving, and Santa, Christmas trees, and every holiday theme imaginable during Christmas -- yet barely any mention of Jesus, His teachings, or why these days matter in the first place. I'm not the only one who feels this way. Many have shared the same concerns. On top of that, the pastor often appears on stage wearing high-end designer clothing, and it seems like he's away traveling every other week. His biggest influence appears to be Joel Osteen -- and a lot of us know the controversies and concerns surrounding Osteen's ministry. All I'm saying is this: be careful, stay alert, and keep your faith centered on Jesus, not on trends, personalities, or theatrics.

I seen change in people coming and going. so I've been there quite a while. I have been faithful. My family has been faithful. It truly saddens me that in the time of need, as a church member and losing my 91-year-old grandmother, who also was a member of your church, passed away and when I reached out for help the attitude, the silence the no nonchalant response that was given was uncalled for we are faithful members to the church. we help support the church and we needed help from the church. In this time of need and grief the fact that the pastor could not do the funeral in the church or at least send a pastor to where we will have the service instead could've been an option, but was not even offered as one we strictly got a no! The excuse of that was, because of kids camp going on. I understand it is important. I have been part of the kids club. But in a time of need, it should be where your church helps. Your church stands by you in this time, they did this to my mother's funeral couple of years ago because they needed to prepare for their Halloween night. Trust me I get it. These are important events. Absolutely you want to put a show on and bring people in. Definitely understand that but as a member for many years needing help two times from grief and loss and losing people it's a shame that nobody stepped up or nobody could help at a funeral service of a member or for a member of the church. ever

The church is very spacious and plenty of seats. The technology and visuals were top-notch. The staff were friendly and respectful. Also, they have plenty of parking too!! I attended a funeral here and the pastor gave an amazing message. The pastor gave a great service that really opened my eyes and see death in a new light!! Thank you for the fellowship and worship today. Go visit this church because their Christmas decorations do not match how beautiful it is. They take pride in decorating and showing the spirit of the holiday! I want to go back and take my kids.

It's hard to believe how much it's grown through the years and I was surprised to hear that this was their 30th year. They now offer really fun things like hat rides and train rides for the little ones. They also sell things like hot dogs, popcorn and hot cocoa. They ask for a "donation" for the purchase of these things but who cares?! Do people really believe that it costs nothing to run a display like this so that literally hundreds of people can enjoy it every year?! Definitely a do not miss event if you like admiring beautiful lights this time of year. Check website for hours but I believe it's open most nights until 9:30 pm.
