Received this in the mail from Oasis, regarding our new home. Made the call was met with a very rude and condescending lady. We volleyed for way to long about the language which is absolutely false advertisement! Notification 7/11/24, expiration 7/22/24 anyone with common sense would be lead to believe the 7/22/24 date is indicative of the date of expiration of the warranty! I concluded this prior to turning the paper over and reading the other side, which didn't offer much clarity either. I have no issues with being wrong, I do take concern with how poor their customer service agents are! The best part was she hung up. I never used foul or abusive language, raised my voice or insulted her. Maybe it was the end of her shift. Needless to say we have warranty I was simply shopping around, and won't be doing business with them ever! My contract with Oasis Home Warranty (Sells the Policy) and Omega Home Protection ( Claims) is paid in full. It expires in 2026. I called to place a claim on my stove top. It is a ceramic top stove. One of the burners overheated causing the top to crack. Omega says that it is a cosmetic issue therefore, not covered. They refused to even send a technician to look at it. Their customer service is horrible. Called and had to wait for 35 minutes until someone got on the phone. Asked for a copy of the contract and was told that that will be another department. I asked them to email the other department with my request and the rep (Brooks) said that she could not do that and gave a number to call. I have worked for Chris Huddleston in the past and was excited to begin working for him again. However, unfortunately, after 6 months of working for him, things just were not professional and I was not paid for commissions that I earned and was not given a raise as others received in the dept. When my Father passed away, I took off 7 days, thinking as I had been told that I would receive bereavement pay, then being told when I returned, there would be no pay for any days, since they are a start up company. I returned from being off and 4 employees, all in upper management had been fired according to management. Then, just this week, they fired 3 more employees, hiring 3 new employees from another company. I understand that several people had walked out due to not receiving their commission checks in the sales dept. I don't like to talk about rumors or gossip, however, it doesn't seem that Oasis is going to be around very long. From what I understand, the new employees, who happen to be in Poland are going to be taking over everyday operations and paid less than in the US. The Warranties that are sold are not what the sales dept say the plan and or contract is. Any repaid or replacements do not cover replacements and repairs. For example, a Furnace may cost 10k to replace. When the customer filed a claim, the most they will receive is 1k. I was fortunate, having been in the warranty business for more than 10 years, I was recruited recently and happy to say I made the right decision to resign from Oasis and go elsewhere. read more

I recently had the misfortune of dealing with what I can only describe as a scam company that operates under various names. As a first-time home buyer, I received a letter in the mail from a company that, upon further investigation, appears to have many articles on their scam practices. Since they use different names it is hard to figure out at first.   From the very beginning, the experience was unsettling. The first red flag was the pressure I felt to commit after the initial phone call with Aaron Poklis, the company representative. Despite expressing my discomfort and a gut feeling that something was amiss, I proceeded with caution.   Upon realizing that my aunt had already engaged another company due to my reservations, Mr. Poklis responded with unprofessionalism and attempted to discredit the competitor. He asked me if my aunt handled all my financial affairs. His remarks about my financial independence were not only inappropriate but added to the overall discomfort of the conversation. So, I felt pressured not to cancel.   I ultimately decided to stick with my gut and go with the other company after further research. When my sister called on my behalf, the situation only worsened. Aaron Poklises' pushy behavior persisted. He asked my sister what company we decided to go with and she politely said, "we don't wish to disclose that." He then said, "so you are going with a un-reputable company" my sister then said "no, we just would like to cancel. He then told her that they were obviously a bad company since we were embarrassed to disclose the name, and we were wasting our money. She told him that is fine if that is what he thinks, but we would still like to cancel. He then just stopped talking. She asked if he was still there and if he was processing the cancellation, and he said, "well yeah I'm not just sitting here." He then put her on hold without telling her, and then hung up on her. He then called me probably thinking he could talk me out of cancelling. I patched her and my aunt onto the call and he continued to make comments about me not being able to make my own financial decision, and asked why we were being so hostile to him. He lied to my sister and told her he wasn't the one she was speaking to when he clearly was. He was so condescending and just laughed at us when we said he was being unprofessional.   Even after reaching a resolution to cancel the service, my attempt to address the issue with a supervisor, Kyleigh Nelson, proved equally frustrating. The supervisor seemed to dismiss the unethical conduct, citing the company's role as a retention department. This response not only failed to address my concerns but also highlighted a systemic issue within the company. Additionally, Aaron said he was processing the cancellation and asked if my card number on file was okay to refund. I said it was. Yet when we reached Kyleigh, she said the cancellation was still not processed. When we asked for a confirmation email, it came an hour later and failed to mention the refund until asked.   One of the most alarming aspects of this experience was the company's use of multiple names--Oasis Home Protect, Omega Home Care, and others--creating confusion and hindering consumers' ability to conduct proper research. It appears that the company may be manipulating online reviews to bury the truth and maintain a facade of credibility.   In conclusion, my encounter with this company was nothing short of a nightmare. The unprofessionalism, pressure tactics, and deceptive practices were unacceptable. I strongly advise anyone considering their services to exercise extreme caution, do thorough research, and be wary of glowing reviews that may be part of a concerted effort to mask the truth about this company's questionable practices. read more
